DH was being weird. He usually hates these kind of things, so I was surprised her agreed to come. I'm pretty sure he regretted it instantly. He grabbed some food and just sort of planted on a bench while the kids and I explored. Whatever, as long as he's not whining to me and I can still have fun, he can do what he wants.

Thanks ladies the dress is super tight now after eating. It's like a pretty formal dress and there are people here legit wearing sundresses. The invite said formal attire ... Oh well. I'm too sober not to judge a little bit.

My sober wedding experience: took care of a puking drunk girl in the bathroom for 30 minutes until her dumbass husband got an uber and then immediately got cornered by one of DH's friends who was drunk and crying about how she wanted to visit us/didn't want to be an imposition/didn't want to lose touch blah blah blah for 20 more minutes. Good times
Eta: totally forgot to mention that the bride's grandma passed out immediately after the last song. She's fine but it was dramatic.
Currently 5am and I'm up pooping. Had to get up to pee at 4am, nothing unusual as I pee once a night. And then I got a couple gut cramps, and I know that means some business is on its way. So had to wait like 45 minutes for it to 'work' it's way down so I can finally poop.
I feel much better although I have woken up C (he'll go back to sleep as he is only talking to himself), not sure how as I wasn't loud creeping to the toilet. Creeped DH a treat walking back into the bedroom, the sound of my steps must have woken him up and then he saw my shadow in the bedroom so he went "aaaahh" in a mumbled sleep state I was just like "it's me babe ssh"
I think it's partly my fault this pooping as I drank a good amount of pure orange juice yesterday and that ALWAYS gives me the runs. But I just really wanted it lol.
@sandrabloom, how old is she? It can be common and normal at toddler/preschooler age to develop sudden, irrational, sometimes inconsistent fears. It has to do with their imagination being so active at that age. I'm sorry you're dealing with that, and anxiety-like behaviour is never easy to manage in a child, especially a young one. Hopefully it's just an age thing.
She's 4 now and it started when she was about 2. I just feel so bad for her because I'm the same way, but my issues didn't start until my 20s.

@sandrabloom no real advice here but I had a lot of anxiety issues that sound similar to what your daughter is experiencing when I was like 6 to 9 years old.
Don't hesitate to consult a child psychologist or therapist, just to see what could be going on. There are all sorts of "fun" therapies for young kids (art, music, games, etc).
It was also could just be the developmental stage where she's at too! So totally normal and really hard for mom.

Having some light spotting I'm trying to relax and think it's because I overdid it yesterday. I'm spending most of the day in the car so won't be over exerting myself today.

I'm already starting to feel overwhelmed with hand-me-downs. The baby's room already seems full and we don't even have any furniture yet! We have a pretty small house, so it's starting to worry me. I guess it'll be better when I can put the carseat in the car and move the swing to the living room. I never would have bought a swing myself (unless I was wondering if it was the only thing that would make the baby happy at 3am), but since we're just borrowing it, I decided to try it. DH's cousin gave us his bathtub last night, and it's kind of huge and I don't know where we'll store it. Although the baby room still has some junk in it: computer chair, small table, all of my crochet yarn that need to be sold/find a new home. And my off-season rubbermaid bin of clothes that I need to go through and see what summer stuff I should take out.
Sorry, long vent! How do you keep all of your baby stuff in a small house?
We only had one shower space/tub combo in our last house and our baby bath lived in it. It came with a big plastic hook and we just hung it and the curtain bar when we weren't using it.

Thinking of you! Hope you do get some great rest today.

blabbermouththeiowagirl thanks ladies. I didn't notice anymore when we stopped an hour ago (and I've felt some flutters since). Way to freak me out body. I'm sitting in the back with DS so I can stretch across the seat more comfortably (and calm the toddler lol).

blabbermouth we didn't use a swing with DS until he was a couple months old. I mostly used the rock n play and wore him lol. My cousin got a mommaroo and her kid HATED it. Her husband was so pist lol. So LO will most likely have a preference about where s/he spends time.
+1 on hanging newborn clothes. That's for the birds. We didn't dress DS up much so he mostly wore PJs lol. No shame. You'll figure out what works best and favor those types of clothes over the others. I passed along the clothes that I knew I would never use to others that could use them. If the person wanted them back, I did hold on to them until he outgrew the size and gave them back with all the other clothes.

I'm glad it seems to have stopped. Spotting is such a mindfuck.
I've been on an egg salad kick lately. I probably hadn't had an egg salad sandwich in 15+ years, but I'm now obsessed. I'm already excited for my lunch tomorrow.
My DS is 3 today! I'm very emotional. Time really does fly and babies grow up too fast. He's so sweet, smart, and funny. DH and I are so lucky to be his parents. He's going to make the best big brother in November.
