I am working an extra day this week. God help us all. A brunch this weekend sponsored by a group that is for Black women to network. I am going with one of my Sorority sisters. It should be nice.
rayann687 Happy early birthday to your DD! Hope the citizenship test goes well for your H!
I am going to a conference this week and taking DD with me. Preparing to travel alone with a toddler requires far too much planning.
Good luck with your travels! Traveling solo with a toddler is no joke!
I'm actually on the opposite end if traveling with a toddler. My DS (2 years old) traveled over the weekend. Just got back early this AM, so I'm actually lying in bed. Just woke up from a quiet nap since no one is home!! I'm contemplating getting about an hour of work done or just catching up on my DVR shows.... DH was home while we traveled, and of course things aren't how I like them! When I get home after traveling, I like for things to be in order. I can see that he tried though!! I just hate coming home needing to unpack AND clean up. Anyhow the rest of the weak is business as usual, but we're starting our spring activities (swimming and soccer) after a winter of not much going on since I had a pretty serious eye issue going on. I'm on the mend now and have been back to work almost a month now!
No plans this week, but I went to an awesome food and culture festival in Duluth this past Friday. I ate so much food. Any recommendations from the Atlanta ladies for some places to eat/things to do in your area?

The Skyline park on the rooftop of Ponce City Market in midtown is fun. It's a mini fair and putt putt course with drinks for adults only (after a certain time). There are lots of diverse foods in the Ponce City Market food court as well. It's a great spot for a date night. Or if you go during the day you can begin/end it with a walk or bike ride on the beltline trail and thru Piedmont Park. This weekend there's the Inman Park Festival. There will be lots of food and art. Can't think of anything else right now but there are so many things to do in the city.
I'm still on a high from spending time with my family this weekend. It was my dad's birthday so me, DH and DD traveled to visit him and attend his party. My mom and dad haven't been together since I was a baby but they are god friends and so are their spouses. My FIL and his girlfriend came too. My daughter got to see all 5 of her grandparents and even her great grandmother this weekend. I'm so happy my family can all be together in the same place
Nothing special for me this week. Just get through, as usual. Hopefully get to play more online games (Overwatch) this week to improve my skill and in-person games (Halo) to relax.

Ok, this is exactly the type of thing I was looking for. Thank you so much! Save
We are deciding on daycare this week. Either 3 days/ wk at the really good center with a Montessori style philosophy and not many brown faces OR 5 days/wk at the kinda beat up standard daycare with a higher racial/ethnic mix. I shoulda married for money
