I woke up happy because Adeline only woke ONCE last night at 3:30am. I think being able to easily adjust her position back to side to stomach is helping. Also I kept her to three naps yesterday and moved up her solids time from 5 to 3:00 and I think it gave her more time to digest.
Then I got mad bc I found out H has an interview in the city at 4:30p today. I'm soooo angry. Yes partly I get that he wants to make more money for our family but we're doing "ok" and I need him around more than I need the money - he doesn't get what it's like to watch the clock for 5:15 (when he normally walks in).... A job in the city means instead of: leaving the house at 7:45a he'll leave at 6:30a, instead of getting home at 5:15p he'll get in at 7:00p or later, and instead of 8 weeks vacation he'll get the standard 2 or 4. It doesn't help me. 😩😩😩
Monday was so nice, I took all 3 dogs for a walk! Only Tanner is willing to take pictures, the girls seem to run when I pull my phone out! Or in the case of the walk, walk really far from the phone.

kleigh Even if he gets paid more, I don't see how that outweighs all those negatives you listed, especially if you're doing ok right now. Maybe he can try to get a counter offer at his current job instead.

C's magical unicorn sleep has gone haywire lately. Last night he woke up at 2 and was WIDE awake. I tried to rock him back to sleep and he just stared at me with eyes open the whole time. I eventually just put him back in his crib awake, with his paci and turned on his stars. 30 minutes later he was crying so I woke H up to handle it. He said he didn't get back to bed until 4:30 because C just wouldn't sleep, even after a bottle. Then of course he was out at 6am when I actually needed him to be awake. I don't think he likes this crazy schedule he's on.

I know waitwhat! The 12 month jammies seem so.. big kid. He just looks so grown up wearing them.
On the topic of PJs.. my kid has massive thighs and these Carters that we got are SO tight on his legs. Does anyone have recommendations for brands that are more chunk friendly?
goldenlove3 One of his problems is that he's been with our current company (in progressively better roles, but still) for 15 years - his entire career - he's bored and burnt out. And I get it but we live in an area where he can EASILY travel to Norwalk, Stamford, Greenwich (which are 20-30 min train rides) and still make significantly more - he doesn't have to go into Manhattan - yes he'd make EVEN more but maybe a UO, I don't need a ton of money, I'd rather have my sanity, time, and family life.
waitwhat Yeah he def gets how stressed I am (he actually cancelled today's interview) but I think he's torn bt understanding how hard it is to be home with the twins and wanting to provide so I can SAH full time. But I'm not even sure I'd want that, I need a little balance and I struggle with doing things for me as it is, take away work and I'd prob never leave the house or get "a break".

haha. Chunky thighs over here as well! I think if you look at carters "sleep and play" they aren't as tight as the regular carters pajamas. I've just discovered this recently.
Sleep and Plays only go up to 9 months!! Grrr... All the 12 month are snug fit.
kleigh, I completely understand your point, have you talked to YH about it? I know some companies won't give a raise, promotions, etc. without another company's offer! It makes no sense, but instead of knowing your worth, they want another company to tell them your worth!?! Is there room for promotion at his current job? Has he been passed over? Just curious is money is his only motivation!
goldenlove3 Have you tried the Circo brand (I don't know if that's a target or Walmart thing), I have some girl hand me downs and I feel like they are big. Trying to remember what other brands I found to be bigger than Carters.
cheshie6 Our company is weird like that too. Like even if you move from one position to another higher position there is a threshold % they won't pay you more than if you're internal. But let's say you leave and come back, then you'd be brought in at a much higher rate. It sucks but they lose a lot of people this way who then only come back a year later. Even with a promotion or raise they can't go above the couple % threshold

The big boy bath tub is a hit! This photo cracks me up lol *poof*
I got an IUD yesterday. (I wasn't taking the pills exactly like you're supposed to.) I had multiple ppl tell me it was the worst pain of their life! So I was pretty anxious for the appt. .... And it wasn't that big of a deal. I mean it wasn't pleasant but it was over in a minute.

cheshie6kleigh My company is like that too. I think most places are. H was seriously underpaid at his job because he was hired in during the recession and was just happy to have a job at that point. Well they never adjusted his salary so he finally interviewed elsewhere, got an offer and put his 2 weeks in. They gave him a 30% raise to keep him!! But I totally can see being burnt out after 15 years. That's tough.
kleigh Just checked Circo (Target btw) and it seems like they only have 2T+ jammies. But their Just One You Carters seem like they might be less snug in the legs. I'll have to go look.

Oh my gosh kleigh!! Go Adeline!! I hope this is the start of something beautiful. I agree that more money doesn't outweigh any of those drawbacks. You can add me to the clock watcher club. It's all I do from 4 to 8.
cheshie6 tapatalk is annoying the heck out of me lately. That's an adorable picture! How is the crew doing with L?! Is he loving on them yet?
goldenlove3 the yummy legs over here don't fit well in Carters bottoms either. Baby gap has been more successful. I can let you know the next time I get a 50% off with an additional 20% off code email.

kleigh your UO is my UO too. Unfortunately, it's also an UO within the household. I would sell my car, house, and everything in it in a second if it meant a good family life.

Edit: I swear I know the your/you're difference
Is YH gone from 4a to 8p ?!!?!? That's so rough! I mean we grew up quite poor and not that uwith our babies to have the kind of struggle that we did, but we are not struggling by any means. I mean we could sell my new car, downgrade our house, not have to live in one of the most expensive towns, take trips, buy stuff, etc - I'd do all that before I'd want to lose another 4-5 hours out of my day (between longer hours being expected and the additional commute).
