Anyone else planning to birth at a birth center? This will be totally different from DS's birth, if all goes well anyway. We pushed for as many "gentle cesarean" preferences as possible with DS, and it was much better than I was expecting given it was an urgent c section situation.
We did no eye ointment and delayed everything else. Didn't get to do delayed cord clamping, but will this time. We will labor at home as long as possible before going to the birth center. They said most people stay for about 6 hours after birth so we're trying to figure out when to have DS come meet baby brother and when to have MIL come. She is going to take care of DS and lives 3 hours away.
I really wanted to do a birth center and that was our plan for a long time. But then it took forever to get KU and we moved to the middle of no where so now the closest center is an hour and a half away so we decided against it. I will be living vicariously through you!!! I have no advice since I have not been in the situation before but I *think* I would wait until you went home to have him meet Baby since the time is so short at the BC.

redrock we are planning on delivering at a birth center. We are not planning on DS meeting the baby right away though. MIL will take him for a few days once labor sets in (they're about an hour away), and that way we'll have a chance to get somewhat settled into breastfeeding and recovery before adding a toddler to the mix.
