Guess what's happening!!
POOF!
And no, that's a Maury paternity test lol
We should have results sometime next week I think (5-7 business days and you know I put that shit right back in the mail), so I'll update y'all then.
But for now, and for those that don't FB or IG, here are some info and comparisons to aid in your guess...
The Deetz twins were in separate sacs and placentas, that makes them di-di (diamniotic-dichorionic). If the embryo split within 2-3 days after fertilization, then the twins would be identical di-di. There is a 30-40% chance of this happening. Otherwise they would be 2 eggs fertilized by 2 sperm (fraternal), which is the type that "runs in the family," specifically the mother's side, so 60-70% chance.
Isn't biology fun? Here's where my personal experience gets fun and tricky: my maternal grandmother was a set of triplets, and it's my OPINION she was an identical twin within the triplets.
Exhibit A:
POOF!
My grandmother is in the middle, but doesn't she look A LOT like the baby to her RIGHT?!
Exhibit B:
POOF!
Do these grown ass women look alike or what?! I don't have pictures of the 3rd sister, blacksheep of the family yadda yadda lol, but I'm told she doesn't look like her wombmates.
So I thought it'd be fun to share in the fun and anticipation of finding out if these 2 are really "my fault" (according to DH). For your comparing and viewing pleasure, Isla (always left) and Celia (always right):
POOF!
Obviously, this is all for fun. Charlotte loves her little sisters and we're so thankful to have 3 beautiful girls. I'm so happy to have the J15 tribe to share my love and joy with!
