I've been MIA because DRAMA! SIL2 is pregnant (we knew this, she's due in Oct) but now there's going to be a shotgun wedding in 3 weeks!?! The ILs are running around like mad trying to figure stuff out! I need a dress, and wedges. I was going to get a pedicure this week but may hold off until just before Mother's Day.
Tomorrow, I'm chopping off my curly hair into an asymmetrical pixie! Not till 3pm... do we want pics?

This is funny being on this side of a speedy wedding!! DH and I eloped and gave family 2 weeks notice, so being on this side is very weird ETA but exciting!

We *kinda sort of* eloped... We did a destination wedding knowing MHs and my family wouldn't travel there (except the close family we helped pay for). It cut our guests from 250 invites to 35 attendees (all very very very close family and two-three friends each).

Looking back on it, I wish we had done that. So much more intimate and special. Don't get me wrong. We had a great wedding and all but I can't even tell you the last time I talked to a good majority of the people I invited. Most of those are friends I haven't even talked to in years.
Luckily H was on board. You can imagine we were not well liked in the Polish family community once we did that but DNGAF... Our day, our way. I love a big beautiful wedding BUT we really wanted it to be intimate and meaningful to us, I feel like people always have something to say, about the food, the location, the order events etc etc etc PLUS you get grabbed by everyone during the reception (esp the older people) who want you to stay and talk for way too long. No thank you, there's a floor that needs my feet dancing on it ;-)
I'd love to see everyone's wedding photos !!! I know we all once shared a photo here or there last year but I love weddings.

This is what I had been hoping to do until my asshole FIL decided to intervene. My brother's ex-fiancee is the main culprit for ruining my wedding but FIL is a close second.
The saga of my wedding is a long, long one that I may or may not bore you all with one day.
Sounds like we may need a wedding thread. For pictures and stories! If you all did one last year I don't think I was part of it so we may need to do another!
I don't remember doing a wedding thread, so clearly we need to do one again!

Also FFMC my sister mentioned going away to the same island for her wedding and I'm pushing hard just so that we can go back and get pictures taken in all the same spots with M. Selfish, yes. Don't currrr.
