This is a weekly check-in for PAIF members in their second trimester. Feel free to join at 14 weeks and we will bid you an excited farewell on your way to 3rd tri after 27 weeks.
If there are any newcomers that would like to be added to the list, post below (and tag me) and include: -EDD and team if you know/team green if you aren't finding out? -How far along you are? -Upcoming appointments? -Anything you’d like to share.
23w3d today. I can't wait to reach vday. So much exciting stuff this week. My last final exam is tomorrow and then I have two glorious weeks off school. Also, my very first niece is being born tomorrow via c/s. I'm so excited to meet her! And of course Vday on Thursday!
We have an ob appointment and growth ultrasound on Wednesday. I'm anxious to see baby girl and make sure all is well. We also leave for vacation to California at the end of the week and I can't wait. We're going to San Diego and Palm Springs. I've been to San Diego a bunch but this will be my first time in Palm Springs. Anyone been there? I need to get the house together before I go because my ILs will be house and dog sitting for us and right now it's a bit of a disaster, but I figure once this last exam is over I'll have time to get it together.
QOTW: I honestly haven't been doing much and I'm feeling like I need to. I was trying to do some walking but it was giving me a lot of RPL which made me nervous. I'm now considering signing up for a water aerobics class since I'm thinking the low impact would be better. Has anyone done it?

cali, yay for coming up to v-day! I loved San Diego, but I have not been to Palm Springs. Have fun 😊
I can't believe this is my last check in for 2nd tri! It's weird, it feels like it's too soon to be in 3rd tri already. I all of a sudden feel very unprepared to have a baby in less than 90 days. 😳 But, I'll be fine. We are having the baby shower on May 20th and after that I feel like we'll have everything in place.
Good luck with the rest of 2nd tri ladies and I'll see you over there soon!
QOTW: My job is super physical so I've been lacking on working out. I do still take my dog for 30 mins walks and hike once a week. I wish I could get by butt in gear for more yoga.
I'm 23+4 I can't believe v-day is only a few days away! I'm so ready for it to get here. No appointments until May 8th when we have our repeat a/s and a regular appointment.
I'm feeling mostly good although I've been having some growing pains in my hips and my feet have started swelling after work.
My brother has been killing me lately. He has been wearing these shirts then sending me a matching onesie picture. He keeps saying he's buying them for our boy so he matches his uncle. It cracks me up.
QOTW: I haven't found any exercise or anything. My job keeps me on my feet most of the day so I walk between 3-4 miles during the school day. I also have to transport and restrain students which is a workout in itself. However, once June gets here I'm going to have to find something to keep me active since I'll be off of work.

cali I have been doing prenatal aquafit for two weeks and I love it! Great workout but I also feel safe while doing it. I find the water helps relieve some RLP too.
Hi all I am 26+3. Feeling pretty tired. I had a half decaf coffee today and that's definitely out of the norm. Haven't had coffee in months but I'm dragging.
Baby seems to like dancing on sensitive areas like my cervix (?) I have pressure and fullness in my pelvic area and some hip pain. I get full really easily too.
Have an apt today to check the placenta previa and I have my 1 hr GTT 🤢
Qotw: I've been doing eliptical, yoga, and light weights since about 9 weeks. Definately helps with the aches and pains and with body image
Eta: I'm getting a fruit smoothie today. Will that mess with my GTT? Aftet some feedback I'm delaying my smoothie til tomorrow 😐
Today is 26wks 6 days so my last check-in. I can't believe I am hitting the 3rd trimester. As soon as my semester is done I need to get moving and the house in order.
My g test was postponed until this week so I have no real updates. Just getting bigger. Good luck everyone!
Q:I have been going for walks and doing yard work.
I'm 23+5 today and saw the MFM for my weekly appointment. Home bed rest continues for now but she said to start preparing for hospital bed rest in two weeks. My cervix measured at 2.5 with funneling when pressure was applied. Both babies gained right around 3 ounces since the last growth scan (2 weeks ago). Baby A looked good and is fluid level was well within the normal range. Baby B is now measuring in the 1st percentile. She is 15 ounces (430 grams) and her fluid level dropped a lot. Blood flow to her kidneys and her cranial blood flow looked good so they do not feel like she is in any distress right now. They also think the fluid drop is due to placental insufficiency. MFM thinks baby B will end up below the 1st percentile by next week's appointment.
The plan with the MFM is to recheck me in a week. I'm not sure if they are going to doing an u/s cervix check or switch to manual only checks since I'll be at the 24 week mark. Baby B is dictating our next steps. As soon as they see any signs of distress they are going to deliver but the MFM is wanting her to get to 500 grams first. The MFM said to prepare for probably 3 to 4 months of NICU time.
Hi all! Last check in for the second tri. Yay!! We had our shower Sunday and my friends are in town. We got almost everything we need and I'm so thankful for how generous our family and friends are. Plus it was fun!
QOTW: Well we walked from 9am-9pm yesterday at Disneyland, does that count. I am going to be walking every day from here on out though.

I'm sorry therealbug, Hopefully the babies snuggle in and you can keep them in there for at least a few more weeks. It's good that they are both gaining weight.
Late to the party...but I'm 22w4d today. Doing ok, all things considered! I don't have another appt until 5/17. I definitely feel a lot of movement these days so that helps keep my panic in check a bit!
QOTW: I'm trying to do more walking and getting myself swimming again. I walked with H and the dogs last night and was SO sore, but I know I need to do it. Meeting a girlfriend for a walk today. Hoping I can up the easy going activities as much as possible and keep them up. I've gained an ok amount so far, but was pretty big to begin with so want to keep things manageable for after babies get here!

Friends went home so back to reality. We had 6 women staying in our 3 bedroom house so it was a little like being in college again, so fun but we're exhausted.
cali, What a busy week for you! Hope your scan today went (or does) go really well. Have a blast here in CA it's not too crazy hot yet so it's a really good time to come visit.
easilyunamused, So hard to believe the countdown is under 90 days! Ahhh! I'm definitely feeling the nesting instinct kicking in, how about you?
king26, Yay for V-day! My sister is the same, she is already planning an Instagram account with our little and her in matching outfits lol!
yoshijo28, How did your appointment go? My 19w a/s showed slight previa, but it had moved by my 23w scan thankfully.

JustJudy, I was definitely freaking out a bit when I hit less than 90 days. I want to give into my nesting urge, but we are still waiting to hear about a possible job/move for MH. Have you gotten a lot done?!

Oh man, that's tough! I feel the urge to deep clean things. Last week I moved the couch to vacuum every inch of the living room and cleaned out the entire pantry. Now that we were gifted a bunch of things we will organize her room.
