Boo! This morning it was 65 and sunny. I had promised the kids we could go to a park after naps. Now there are thunderstorms off and on all afternoon. Poop.
Had my SIL/ best friend over yesterday. She has a son who's about 6 months older than DD and while they were playing he bit her pretty hard. I wasn't upset by it, she handled the situation appropriately. Unfortunately DH says that now nephew is no longer allowed around DD and doesn't want her playing with him. I'm hoping that it'll blow over, SIL is after all my best friend and we literally live next to each other.

Ditto here! I woke up to a beautiful blue sky and by lunch it was over cast and gloomy. 😔 DD loves the playground at our apartment complex, it's too muddy for playing right now though.

mambo, I know! I'm so sick of the rain and the cold weather. We also have a pass to the children's museum. So that's an option. I can get another adult and 2 kids in with my pass. I always say I have 4 kids, lol! L is still young enough he is free so it works out for other people to come with us.

Guys guys some of us are very close to V-day. Um.... Does anyone want to do labor buddies?
I think that's a good idea
I lurved mine when DD was born. It was nice to just have someone update everyone for me. Plus she lived in Hawaii with me so it was cool she visited me in the hospital. leviosa why you gotta leave me before the babies are born?!

@wicky when I had DD it was like the one person on the board you texted when you went into labor. They then posted updates to the board if you wanted. It was nice to know when people were in labor or at the hospital because I'm nosy.

Today was nuts. I am in a wedding this weekend, so we all leave tomorrow to take DD to my moms for the weekend (3.5 hours away). Usually she comes here, but she has a bunch of stuff going on. MIL was supposed to watch DD, but she flaked. Then, DH and I drive 1.5 hours back this direction to fly to the wedding Friday morning.
This morning as we are driving to dance class, the dog boarder calls to tell us one of the dog's shots is out of date, so I had to fit in an appointment at the vet this morning. Babysitter came during nap time and I went and got my nails done (which was lovely). Then DD and I had to go to the DMV because they screwed up my license and I need it to fly. Then we had stuff to pick up at Target. I'm exhausted, lol.

I'd tell my husband that he doesn't get to make unilateral decisions about the family.
It's normal toddler behavior, but I'm still sorry that happened to your DD.

Congrats @wicky on getting all that done!! I'm supposed to be doing the nursery this weekend...but H hasn't moved his stuff out of that room yet. Times ticking... I'm hoping he does it today or tomorrow before my mom comes (she's coming specifically to work on nursery with us!)

@wicky , I'm with Flick regarding your sign. I'd leave it as it is. The new meaning could be: "You (both) are our greatest adventure." Since you're all on the same adventure as a family, I think it still works.
If it's going to bug you, though, perhaps make a second one with a different quote for the new little guy. Then they each have their own special frame. 😊
ETA I also like the idea of doing a new quote altogether, but that's only if you're ok with changing the sign.
