Induction starts tomorrow night. I'm nervous. Different hospital, new doctor. I feel like I've forgotten everything from when DD was a newborn. Now, I'm quickly getting things together, reorganizing her nursery, washing everything. We still haven't found the rest of the hardware to finish putting the crib together. Good thing we don't need it for at least 6 months.
We are doing well here. O is a boob maniac. He's constantly searching for it and is like a shark with blood in the water, he lunges and attacks the nipple without warning. So much different than DS1 who needed a lot of encouraging to attach.
Family and newborn photos tomorrow. I planned everyone's outfits but my own. Whoops.

We had a better day today. Even made it out of the house for groceries. I'm finally enjoying that glass of wine I talked about.
My parents get into town on Thursday. I can't freaking wait to see them.
We're doing okay here. C is kinda clingy. Doesn't like for me to sit him down. But, it's gotten better now that DH actually is listening and holding him like I told him he likes to be held (eye roll). I'm trying to make a conscious effort to not hide in the bedroom with the baby all day and I feel like it helps with DD's outbursts/attention seeking behaviors. It's definitely been an adjustment for everyone.
Happy May! Good luck, raven. Hope the induction is smooth and easy. And the newborn stuff comes back quickly! You've got this!
We're doing pretty well over here. I'm finally doing better from the mastitis, though my supply has definitely taken a hit. (PSA: don't ever get this, but if you think you might have it, call asap. Like do not cross go.).
Iris wants to be held all day but sleeps well at night, so I guess I'll take it. And her big brother is slowly adjusting, though home sick from daycare today. 😫 Thank goodness my husband is still on leave, and fingers crossed we can keep these kids separated.

We did family / newborn photos today. My DH hates photographers with a passion - sees them as a waste of money and time. "Why pay someone to do it when you have an iPhone that takes just as nice pictures?"
Any who. He's pissed because I made him dress up in something other than shorts and a Tshirt. But we survived. O was not cooperating and didn't want to be posed. And DS1 wanted to stick his tongue out in every photo and was super hyper. All in all it made a very loooong and interesting morning.

Hahaha lilmonk your session sounds basically like ours. Even our DH's attitudes. Hope your photographer got some good ones. I'm anxiously awaiting our pictures.

T has no predictable schedule yet. Every day is still a crap shoot. But he's a much better nurser than big sister was with a naturally good latch and we usually get a 3 or 4 hour stretch of sleep at night, so I guess I'll keep him.

T will not nap today. He'll doze a little while nursing but won't sleep as soon as we put him down. He's fed and changed, but no amount of snuggling, rocking, bouncing around, pacing, swaying, etc will get him to go down. I'm so tired and frustrated.
Cluster feeding. How I blocked you from my memory. I'm exhausted.
This. Plus everytime he nurses, she wants to. If there is an ergonomic way to nurse an 8 pounder and a 23 pounder at the same time I haven't discovered it.

You are superwoman. My 40 lb 3-year-old wants to snuggle every time DS nurses but at least I can maneuver her to a comfortable place. Tandem nursing is so impressive.
