I hope everything works out with your housing shehulk723 and bocaburger. I'm currently househunting (to rent, not buy) and it is going terribly. My hometown is the pits.
Hi all!
I'm tired. Exhausted, rather. I've been working 50hr weeks and working on 2 certifications and another degree. Fortunately, LO comes to work with me so we still get to spend time together. UNfortunately, I'm getting burnt out because I never have alone time.
Idk who invented leashes for kids but I could kiss him/her. LO has mastered walking and is working on running (not going as well as he'd like). He absolutely refuses to be held or worn anymore smh. The leash is a lifesaver, but I feel weird when I have to put it on him.
In happier news, LO isn't destined to be toothless afterall. He has 2 bottoms and 1 at the top. It's opposite the one that fell out so the jury is still out on whether or not its gonna come back in.
Can babies get ear infections without being sick first?
My normally happy baby has been miserable lately and I can't figure out why ☹️
I forget in what part of the US you are located, but could it be allergies? I thought I read or heard (or maybe i made it up?) that babies couldn't get seasonal allergies, but LO definitely suffers from hay fever. He has a zyrtec prescription now and is a whole new baby.
Well, that's disappointing. I just got off the phone with my grandfather and couldn't understand everything he said but I think the gist was the the guy next door is dealing or something like that, but he let's him live there because that's his handyman, so it wouldn't be safe for us to live there.

I'm sorry it didn't work out, but I'm glad he was forthcoming with you.
I was not prepared for DS to stop nursing to sleep at bedtime. DD didn't stop (well bottle fed) until 9 months. He falls asleep while nursing them unlatches and wakes up. And can't get comfy to rock to sleep. So he goes into the crib, fusses for a few minutes, and passes out. I always remember the poem "Last time" and it's true you never know it'll end until it just does. I enjoyed those snuggles at bedtime.
Sakinah, pre-kids, I totally judged the leash. Then I had a rambunctious toddler who loved to run. I totally understand the leash!! Luckily ds1 loved the stroller, too, so I never actually got one, but I would totally get one of those cute backpack leashes if need be! Better that than have your kid run away.
Poor baby is covered in a rash. He was on amoxicillin for a sinus infection, and after a week he totally broke out. The doctor said it is fine, but it's everywhere, including all over his face! At least he is acting fine.
Omg. I went out with two neighborhood moms that I've been getting to know. One has a baby 6 weeks older than mine and the other's youngest is 3. I had such a good time. I didnt realize how long overdue it was. I'm going to hurt in the morning, but it was so much fun.

redhead610 S2 had an Amoxacillin allergy. The rash he got when taking it was dreadful! Best of luck! Oatmeal baths seemed To make it heal faster.
meagpt22 sorry he is done nursing to sleep. That's a hard session to let go of.
My abdomen pain hasn't gotten better at all and still no period. It feels different than period cramps so I made an appt w the obgyn for Friday. Hopefully it is nothing but I'm kinda nervous about it.
I accomplished a ton today. Booked flights, car and hotel for our beach trip, ordered my boys birthday presents and their party stuff, booked their birthday party location and made muffins for baby M! What a day!

Oh and another exciting random. I have a knack for applying to jobs. It is a weird skill to have but I'm good at getting interviews. Nanny's husband has been out of work for a year. H helped him with his resume a few months ago and still he only has had maybe four interviews in a year.
I had him over two weeks ago and did one application with him and taught him my tricks for applying. He has already had two interviews as a result:) in so excited for him!!!!

Home sweet home!! The flight home out of Atlanta was rough to say the least. It wasn't the worst I've encountered (by far) but I just want storm/rough turbulence free flights and it's so rare for me it's exhausting. I got home at about 3, was going to work for a bit but decided to crawl right into bed instead. I was so tired that I was getting nervous driving home. I think the pure panic before and during the flight just wipes me out every time.
The babe is snuggled up on me sleeping, I missed him. I could sit here all night with him.
Paging dc2london because I feel like we haven't heard from you in a while. Everything ok?
Hi loves. I'm sorry, I have been obsessing over the healthcare vote bc it is going to epically screw over my immediate and extended family. I'm here, just quiet

I'm so sorry. :-( My sister has a chronic illness and her insurance is through a job that is not so stable, and that she may want to leave. Her fiance is a bartender and doesn't get benefits. I'm terrified about what is going to happen to her if this passes.
Besides calling representatives, what can we do? All my representatives (where I grew up, where I live now, and where I am moving) already vote the way I want them to.

Hey my boos. Once again I've been away way too long.
I'm majorly stressing today, because I'm day 37 and still no period. TMI AHEAD!!! It's odd for a number of reasons, chief of them being the fact that it would be extremely unlikely for me to be pregnant. The last time we had any sort of activity of that nature, it was day 30/31 and I ovulate anywhere between day 17-23, plus we barely had ANY p in v. He was outta there LONG before anything happened.
I'm 8.5 months post partum, and got my period back end of December. It's been pretty regular the past four months. I am stressed and not drinking enough water, but everything else is average - not a whole lot of sleep, but enough. I tested yesterday morning, and it was negative.
What other things could be happening here? When should I test again? Why am I such a dumbass? Does my husband have super sperm?
Has anyone else been sick a million times this year? I'm on my 4th cold in 6 months. I also had the stomach flu and another random bout of vomiting but I'm not sure if that was stress-induced vs a bug. I'm chalking it all up to prolonged sleep deprivation + record-high stress levels, but H and my mom are pushing me to go see a doctor. I don't like my current doctor and don't want to look for a new one since we're moving soon, so I would really like to avoid it if possible.
ETA Most winters I get sick once or twice, this is pretty unusual for me.

My one co worker had a cold or illness every month the first year for both of her kids. If you haven't had a break or have other things going I'd be worried. But you being a mom of twins I think it's normal. Hopefully you're at the end.
bocaburger I seem to get sick a lot more when i have babies in the house. They're little germ magnets and share with me!!! Yuck.
They're not in day care though (although they do go to public places like the library and the park where they could pick up germs). Also, right now I am the only one who is sick, and they also never got the stomach flu, so I'm not sure it's coming from them.

bocaburger I have been sick a ton. I get the majority of the colds she brings home. Right now she's super congested with an ear infection and I'm super congested with a headache. Super fun.
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)
So it is pretty easy actually. my methodology is to literally copy and paste the entire posting into my resume at either the top or bottom. Then I go line by line and incorporate every line of it into my job experience, using the exact wording they use. I use their exact wording (including tenses, how they spell out acronyms) to describe my experience but add my own wording layered in. And I do that as many times as possible.
If I don't have that particular experience, I put it in my cover letter for why I want that experience, again using the words they use, even if it means you have to change your tenses Within your resume and cover letter.
I also will google job descriptions for the position and ensure I include industry standards throughout as well, even if they weren't in the listing.
it takes a little while to tailor each resume and redo your wording for everything but it works!

I guess mine are in preschool so they get germs there but the baby doesn't. I get sick a lot. H is made of steel though and never gets sick. Jerk.
I also share my pillow with the kids and let them share food with me and give a lot of kisses so maybe I shouldn't? And breastfeeding perhaps is an entry point for germs too? I don't know but it gets better!

Ugh that sounds rough. I hope you both feel better soon!
