He's actually doing okayish! Haha. The hospital sent him home with morphine and he's somewhat functional. He's really been trying to help me too which I super appreciate. Like, he made the sauce (from a packet, my dinners aren't fancy lol) for dinner tonight. But he got really upset because he's so weak that he can't even pick up Keira. My mom took the girls today so we could have a date while he's feeling okayish and we saw a matinee of guardians of the galaxy 2. It was a really good day.
Boca - I get everything the baby brings home. I also got everything that my niece brought home. One hour with her? Oh, thanks lil niece!
I have had two bouts of "stomach flu" but I'm not sure what they were now. She didn't have them and I was the only one sick. My intestines have been messed up since pregnancy. It may all be related and I have some theories. I'm considering a GI doctor but with starting a new job it will have to wait for a bit.
coffeequeen14 That's genius! I'm not currently looking for a job, but I'll have to remember this, especially for the days when I swear I can't take it and want to go back.
Oh man, I hate this week/weekend. It is a festival weekend the is treated a little bit like a mini Mardi Gras locally, with parades and food stuff and dumb drunk assholes... anyway, we spent today out on the road for SO to do some in person calls for his job. His territory is freakin' huge, so we were way out there all day.
We get back into town a little before 6 this evening, as people are lining the street where his office is, getting prepped for whatever parade thing was gonna happen. The roads weren't blocked off yet (though we barely made it out in time... heh) but people were rambling around out in traffic lanes acting like they owned the roads. Some dude stared me down and refused to take the one step back up onto the sidewalk. I honked at his dumb ass as I carefully went around. Sorry I don't feel like swerving into oncoming traffic to avoid idiot pedestrians!
We escape that nonsense just in time to catch the backup traffic across the south bridge (one of only 2 bridges across the river, and the other is like 10 mins north. NOT in traffic) due to what appeared to be at least a 5 car pileup on the bridge. Damn stupid. You could tell people were driving too fast and too close, it was like accordion cars. I am pretty sure no one was seriously injured, and our lane got through pretty quickly, but traffic going the other way was backed up for miles into town. One of my friends going that way took 4X her normal commute time to get home because of that bridge.
I heard later there had been a 2 car collision an hour before in the same place.
I was SO glad to finally pull into my own parking stall at home. I refuse to leave my apartment again this weekend. If we had had any spare money, I would have strongly suggested we just... stay out of town for the weekend. It gets really nuts around here. Most locals over about 21 years old HATE the nonsense associated with this festival.

It is pretty easy but a little time consuming and results in a ton of iterations of your resume. I have a base resume that I use as my foundation and tailor that one for each app of that makes sense otherwise it gets kinda messy if you try to tailor one that you already made for a specific job.

My kids are being awful today. All three of them are Whiney and fussy and a mess.
Luckily I have a spa day with my mom. Have fun H!!!
We did take them on a bike ride for a bit to get out of the house. It was Ms first time in the burley trailer. She loves it!! (We went on paved paths and went incredibly slow (literally the same pace as the four year old who isn't great on his bike) so i was comfortable putting her in the five point harness)
Just found my daughter sucking on a Pampers wipe. What do I do?!
I image they aren't harmful. But check box to see if any instructions regarding what to do if accidentally ingested.
Thanks. I looked on the box & website, I don't see any warnings.
I'm going to kill H. He was supposed to be watching her and just walked away. It happens all the time - he is supposed to be the one watching them and I catch him checking his phone while they pull themselves up on the rocking chair or crawl into the other room. It makes it impossible for me to relax. I live in a constant state of heightened anxiety that something is going to happen to my kids while someone else is in charge.

I use those wipes to clean her mouth and face. She's ingested whatever's used in them and she's good. I wouldn't worry too much about this particular thing.
I'm sorry about the babies getting into things when other people watch. That's stressful.

I've been such a PW lately. Hello free time now that IM is over and H hasn't traveled in a month!!
I went to the obgyn Friday. My cramping isn't gynecological. He thinks I did something to my digestive system or abs when training. But doesn't think it's serious sobthats good. I was stressed about something with my lady parts.
venyia how are things today after your stressful day?
I don't know if I was just dumb or what, but we decided to walk the mile down to the food fair. The overpriced, super crowded food fair where we didn't actually get any food! Ahahaha.... and then my 3yo decided she was done walking. So we swapped baby out of the stroller and her into it, and SO carried the baby. Then we had to figure out the revised bus schedules because the main roads through town were all blocked off. We had a, um, adventure trying to catch the right bus, but thanks to friendly drivers bending their rules (the one said he felt bad because he saw us with the kids and it is a crazy weekend and all), we managed to get home.
Just in time for epic toddler meltdown. Baby was totally chill the whole time, she loves getting out and about and thought the bus was a hoot. Now I am wondering where the crap my SO went because I was going to grab a Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner but he disappeared somewhere. I am hungry and bedtime is like an hour away!
All in all, we are good. Just a bit crazy, I think, lol. Thank you for asking!
bocaburger, i use baby wipes all the time to clean their hands and face too. I don't always us pampers brand but i imagine they are all the same. Lots of thw wipes here say something about gentile enough for babies face and hands. I think you are fine.

We went to a wedding last night and it turned out to be interesting. The groom had a bit too much to drink, and he smushed cake into his wife's face. She stormed off the dance floor. Then the whole bridal party and both sets of parents were gone for about a half hour sorting it all out. The groom came back in and gave a public apology. And the poor bride did not smile the whole night. Oh, I felt bad and it was pretty awkward for the guests! 😳
Does anyones else's 9 month old have temper tantrums already. Baby boy throws himself backwards and screams of he doesn't get what he wants. He did this whwn i had to take my phone away from him or whwn he ia bugging his sister or sometimes when i put him down because i have to go to the bathroom or something. Its like i have a almost 3 year old not a almoat 1 year old. Its crazy!

Oh boy! Super awkward.
That was my one request to DH that he couldn't let loose until after all "events" and pictures were taken. Thankfully he was good.

So we're having a tough go. Not sure if everyone remembers but back in November we drove back to MI for thanksgiving because FIL had just been diagnosed with cancer. Well be passed away on Thursday night. He'd been admitted to the hospital like 2 weeks ago for trouble peeing and they found the cancer had spread everywhere and he was in liver failure. He declined very quickly, but we made it back in time for MH to see him and say goodbye (albeit unconscious). Funeral is Tuesday and we'll be here the week. It's been rough.
Having DD here though has been like the best thing ever for everyone. When I say she's happy, I don't know if I do it justice. She's seriously like sunshine in a tiny package. She doesn't fuss all day long. MHs aunt told me her daughter called her after being over for several hours not understanding how she can be that happy all the time (her baby is super fussy and constantly crying, I felt bad). I think it's really helping my MIL to have her here

joy, my digestive system has been messed up since ds1 was born. I finally realized I don't handle spy well, which is rough since it's in everything. It still isn't great, but I have issues with anxiety and IBS. These kids, man!
I have always used baby wipes to clean hands and face. I'm sure some has gotten in the mouth and I'm thinking it's ok.
Most baby products that aren't ok have warning labels. When ds1 was little he was playing with a bottle of his aveeno lotion while i put it on him. He licked it out of the bottle. Of course it had the "call poison control immediately" label on it, so I did. They said it was totally fine and that even if he ingested the whole thing he might just have a little bit of an upset tummy.

Yes! It's like I'm watching my little babies turn into toddlers before my very eyes!
