My co-worker's sister just died unexpectedly and she was probably in her 50s. She had a GI infection. Don't know if she went septic or what. I feel so bad for my coworker.
Today is turning out so much better then the weather channel predicted!
I dug out my whole front garden of weeds and cut back all the tulips since they are done. Replanted a hosta in a different location and then planted 4 new perennials. Trimmed my rose bush a bit and now having some lunch in the back yard. Can't wait to be finished my main projects and chores and mostly relax on my day off!
Also, bummer that apparently kitty corner in my back I have new neighbours who are the trashiest people ever! Not fun to sit on my swing and listen to every single swear word every 2 seconds. They don't care if their kids are there or not. They also told their dog who was barking viciously at my dog through the corner fence that they would "f'ing beat his f'ing ass in!" several times yesterday evening. Oh joy.

DS was sick to his stomach this morning so we stayed home instead of going to church and the farmers' market. We watched mass online and it took until the end for me to be feeling sick too. This blows.
I need to be better because we're going to Norway on Wednesday and I have to make all the preparations still since DH is working right up until we leave.
How long did it take you to pack? We're moving in a month and I have no clue how I'm gonna get everything packed up while watching two kids.
Umm we still have shit not in boxes! We have until June 1st but I don't want to take a day off. We also have been slowing moving stuff in for a few weeks. It's such a long process

MIL's health has been deteriorating really fast over the last year. She is now in a wheelchair. All of the walls in the house have marks and scratches at wheelchair height where she keeps running into them. We spent many weekends getting the house painted just 3 years ago and now it all looks like shit. I'm really pissed. But I don't feel like I can say anything since, you know, she's in a wheelchair and I don't want to be a bitch. So I'll just bitch here instead!
Oh hey! Guess who just cut me off on my way to work?
A big stupid truck. Of course. Also driven by a man, of course and he yells at me when I am in my lane because I dared to continue to drive and just not jump out of his way.
Ugly black matte paint job with wheels insanely large that could go on a monster truck. Ugh! Hello tiny penis vehicle.
I followed the 10 month old to just watch where he was off to. He climbed the stairs about half way up (by himself) with a toy in his hand. Then he sat down to play and then started to climb/walk down the stairs (which would have resulted in injury without my help). Slow down little baby!!!

My 10 month old is also climbing stairs, mostly under close supervision. He's so thrilled with himself if he can get up a couple stairs before someone gets to him. This morning Dd put her Minnie Mouse slippers 3 steps up so he couldn't get them, which he of course took as an invitation.
Do any of you have a tried and true method for making sweet potato "fries" in the oven?
Not really a "method" but if you crowd the pan with too many, they won't get crispy at all. I use cookie sheets with silicone liners, spread the sweet potato on there, drizzle with olive oil, toss them on the pan so they're coated and then sprinkle with a bit of salt and pepper. If you want even more crisp, flip them halfway through baking.

I buy the Alexa sweet potatoe fries, they're really good
I'll have to look for those. Frozen? But today what I have is a sweet potato. Though weather is much nicer than forecast so might not be a use the oven day after all.

If you ca swing it financially, paying for a packing service is the best thing ever. You don't lift a finger and they pack your entire place in a few hours
