ALSO!!!!
Not an appointment per se yet BUT, I got a call back with my NIPT results (thank you ladies, took exactly one week!) and they came back completely negative/Low risk for all chromosomal abnormalities!!!!
This was extremely relieving since the initial screening came back slightly higher but the MFM will go by the cell-free DNA one to determine if they need to test further.

When is your appointment? Friday 5/5
How far along are you/will you be? 18+4
What kind of appointment is it? Anatomy scan and follow-up with the midwife after. They will also do blood work for genetic screening.
Any feels? Excited and anxious to (hopefully) find out that everything is going alright with our peanut. And hoping H is going to be able to make the appointment as he is currently working out of town.
When is your appointment? I've got two! 5/4 for a midwife appt and 5/6 for an elective ultrasound.
How far along are you/will you be? 16w 3d and 16w 5d respectively.
What kind of appointment is it? (OB, ultrasound, bloodwork, etc) The first is standard midwife (weight, BP, doppler) and the second is an ultrasound to find out baby's sex.
Any feels? (vents, rants, worries) I am so pumped to know whether we are having a boy or a girl! I've felt a bit disconnected from this pregnancy so far, so I think planning a nursery theme and deciding a name etc. will start to make things feel more concrete and real.
I went this AM, at 17+2. Regular OB, glucose tolerance, and testing for spina bifida. OB was great- heartbeat sounded amazing. Anxiously awaiting the test results. Next appointment will be AS on 5/24 at 20+4.
arimaythea, Is it weird that I'm so excited for your elective U/S? I had one done last week, and it totally made things feel more "real" I'm not a very emotional person to begin with, but finding out, even it it was only a month earlier, has made me more in tune and emotional (in a good way!) about this pregnancy. I feel very warm and fuzzy and just overall elated

When is your appointment? Thursday 5/4
How far along are you/will you be?18w4d
What kind of appointment is it? (OB, ultrasound, bloodwork, etc) Ultrasound!
Any feels? (vents, rants, worries) I'm so so so looking forward to this !! I feel like it's been forever since I've seen LO!! I just want to make sure everything is okay in there Bringing DD and my best friend cuz my FIANCÉ has to work!
What kind of appointment is it? (OB, ultrasound, bloodwork, etc)
OB but it is my first second trimester appointment. So I am expecting bloodwork and probably another 24hr urine.
Any feels? (vents, rants, worries)
I'm excited. Appointments seem so far away. I stepped on the scale the other day. It actually wasn't that bad. So I'm not super upset about that. My BP has been gorgeous at home still. I do have to bring ds. Which I am okay with. Actually kind of excited for him to hear the heartbeat. Actually. I just remembered. I do have a question to ask. Why on earth do my arms keep falling asleep when I'm sleeping?!?!?! It happens multiple times every night!! It's getting old fast!
So sweet rachydc! I'm so excited for it but I'm keeping it a secret from all my family and local friends (they all think I won't know the sex until the AS at the end of the month) so I have to get my excitement out of my system online and on DH haha!
ssm It could be the baby resting on a nerve in your back. Have you tried adjusting your sleep position?
it happens no matter how I am sleeping. It used to happen once in a while when I was pregnant with DS. And then quit. But only occasionally since it has happened. This pregnancy, it is just about every night, multiple times.
Maybe I should look more seriously into prenatal chiro care.....
How far along are you/will you be? 17 weeks 4 days
What kind of appointment is it? (OB, ultrasound, bloodwork, etc) Boring midwife appt. Hoping to schedule A/S though!
Any feels? (vents, rants, worries) I don't feel pregnant, I'm not feeling baby at all, and I'm not really showing at all. It's been nearly 6 weeks since my last appt and I'm so anxious to hear the little heartbeat.
mommabakes, I am having the exact same feels. I feel normal (just more hungry than usual but I always love food). I look mostly normal (my sweet, sensitive H informed me that, gee-wow, I just kind of look like I'm getting a little fat 🙄). I can't confidently say I feel movement. Having to wait so long between appointments is more than a little torturous.

When is your appointment? Tomorrow, May 3rd
How far along are you/will you be? 15+2
What kind of appointment is it? (OB, ultrasound, bloodwork, etc). Regular midwife appointment.
Any feels? (vents, rants, worries). I have a feeling I've got low iron and am anemic again. Same thing happened last pregnancy. I'm going to ask for my iron levels to get checked again. I'm exhausted all the time and my thyroid is in the normal range so I should have energy.

the energy comment really makes me want to ask about my iron levels. They were just below the normal range, but not low enough that they were concerned. They would recheck them around 28wks I think. But I seriously am eternally exhausted. Especially in the mornings. I feel I spend until 10/1030 am every morning in bed. Only to want bed again by 8/9pm

Do it! I have a Chiropractor that I've been seeing 1-2x a month for about the last 6 years, and also happens to specialize in prenatal and pediatric care. I saw her all through my first pregnancy, and now this one. I take DS with me too, he's been getting adjusted since he was a month old. I love my Chiropractor.

ssm I don't know how far along you are but if they were below the normal range I definitely bring it up. According to my Mayo Guide to pregnancy at this point in the pregnancy your body is producing more plasma then red blood cells around up until 20 weeks. Then the baby starts stealing your iron, there's a better medical way to explain this sorry .
The point being if you don't keep on top of your iron it can make you feel really drained. Last pregnancy I was into the third trimester until I started feeling better. I ate a ton of iron rich foods, followed all the rules about what to eat when, and I was still borderline anemic.

i saw a chiro when I was much younger. But it has been years. I kinda miss it.

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT (AYA):
How was it? Good, it was with the other midwife I had last pregnancy. She's such a sweetheart. It took awhile for her to find the heartbeat, we could hear the baby punching and kicking but it kept moving around. Finally after about 5 minutes she found it.
What did you expect? Basic appointment.
What did you learn? Nada
New feels? I'm finally feeling pregnant, not that I didn't before. It's just that now I'm showing and I have a few appointments under my belt, I feel really pregnant.
Next appointment/follow up: In 5 weeks, lll be 20 weeks, I have a midwife appointment and my anantomy scan.
How was it? Easy peasy! Met the new midwife. I got there just after 9:00 for a 9:15 appointment and walked out at 9:16, lol.
What did you expect? Just wanted to be reassured by hearing that sweet little heartbeat again.
What did you learn? Everything's on track.
New feels? SO ready for my ultrasound Saturday! Especially after being reassured by the heartbeat again. Midwife found it immediately - right where she placed the wand.
Next appointment/follow up: Saturday for elective ultrasound to find out the sex!!

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT (AYA):
How was it? Anatomy scan , all 10 fingers and 10 toes!! Went very well!!
What did you learn? Happy healthy baby in there , with no issues
New feels? Feeling so relieved
Next appointment/follow up: Soooooo sad I don't get any more ultrasounds unless necessary I had a bunch with DD cuz she had some complications , so I'm glad I don't have the stress of that this time , I just wish they gave you like one more!!
brittneysandra I hear ya. I definitely didn't/don't want complications with any pregnancy but the one small silver lining is you do get more u/s. Because I am subclinical hypothyroid and because I had a 9 pound baby and a preterm labor scare last time I was told I will get an ultrasound every 4 weeks in the third trimester.
It just seems weird to me that they don't want to check inside at all , just to make sure everything is still good!! So bittersweet, I hope for all uneventful ultrasounds for you!! And Yay for 3D ultrasounds at that point which are let's be honest just amazing!!
