A friend just had a Facebook Jamberry party, and because I love her, I bought some for me and DD. Anyone try them before? Anyone put them on kids? I love the idea but I'm dubious that the process will be easy enough for me to execute.
I used them once and they were nice while they lasted but I don't think I spent enough time properly applying them to my nails so the sides kept on peeling up. I used a blow dryer and it kind of felt like my nails were burning.
The girl I used to run with constantly did them with her daughter starting around 4. Your non-dominant hand will come out fine. The other will be passable until you've had some practice.
But please promise me that you won't start posting them on FB or become a consultant.
k3am, lol, in all my spare time! I have no patience for most primping stuff. Multiples times per week, I can't even make myself wash my face at night. I think Facebook is safe.
akafred- I bet I'm with you on this, though I plan to do toenails, not fingernails. I don't even bother trying to paint my fingernails anymore. It lasts about 5 seconds.

I can only do gel on my fingers and I save that for special occasions. It lasts 2+ weeks when I do, though.
I hated Jamberry. I regretted that purchase pretty much instantly. Hope you have better luck!
I've used them quite a bit. I think they're fun and I find that they're good for special events where I want a cool looking manicure. But on a day to day basis, mine typically last less than a week. And that's with me not doing dishes often since that's DH's chore. But, after watching a bunch of YouTube videos about application, I realized my nail beds are really curved, so that's why they don't work well for me. Friends who have super flat nail beds get much longer wear out of them. Look up the ziploc/plastic baggie application - it works really well!
It's like a flat little piece of plastic that adheres to your nail instead of using nail polish. I'm dubious. But again, BFF had a party and I love BFF. So I bought the damn things.
They aren't even here and I'm regretting it. I hope they work on DD.

I've used them before for "accent" nails, but can't imagine trying to do all 10 fingers. (And this reminds me that I have a baseball set I need to bring back out now that little league is in full force.)
