L has slept in his bassinet instead of his RNP all night!!! I mean, he's been up to feed every 1-2 hours, but he quickly passed out every single time. Swaddle + pacifier seems to make a huge difference.

You got this one! Lol
DD didn't go to bed until 11 but my sleep was awful because she was so noisy and DH tossing and turning. I'm moving DD into her room tonight in her rnp. The crib still isn't put back together from DS using it as a bed. Plus I'm not ready to deal with that transition.
J slept from 8-2! She woke up, ate and then slept 2:30 to 5. Ate again, and I am letting her chill in her rock n play and hoping I get one more hour. I'll be fine if I don't though. (need to start going to be when the baby does )
I typed up a long thing about crappy sleep but deleted it because I'm tired of talking about it! It is what it is. DS1 has preschool this morning so I'm debating what to do with my time - shower, target, clean, nap? So many things, so little time!
I'm trying to find a reason DD didn't sleep well. I think it was that I put her in a Halo swaddle instead of a SwaddleMe. Yesterday I swaddled her in her swing at 5 and she slept for so long we had to wake her for bedtime. Which makes me think she also was overtired yesterday.
Whatever, might also be random. I'll try to protect her naptimes today, which means putting off going to pick up her birth certificate. I wish DH could deal with that.

Good morning! We had our usual night of sleep over here. Seems like his body's got it's own routine. He usually goes down for the night around 8:30pm, wakes to feed at 1:15ish, immediately back down, then back up around 5:30am to feed. Luckily, he goes right back to sleep even after the 5:30am and I typically get until like 8:30 or 9am before he's up again. I'll take it! Especially since once I go back to work, that will technically only be 1 wake up because I'll be up for the day by the time he has his 5:30am wake up.
Anyways, I have nothing on my agenda today. We don't leave for vacation until next Saturday (as in, not this Saturday, but next) but I think I might start setting out clothes and stuff to pack in the guest bedroom. I'll feel better if I get a head start.

I'm starting a bedtime routine with DD tonight since I'm moving her to her room. I should have started before now but I was feeling more optimistic that she would settle into one next week but I'm not so much anymore.

I'm hoping C takes a good nap today. Yesterday was not a great nap day, until last evening. During the day, it was several short (30-60 minute) stretches. Usually he naps better.
I have to work this evening. I'm in charge of National Honor Society at school, and the induction ceremony is tonight. I'm excited to see people, but am hoping it doesn't take forever. By 8, I'm usually exhausted.
Kind of amusing story, but could be a pain in the ass. We have a lab/hound mix. She's 4.5. A few weeks ago, H was upstairs and said he found her in C's crib. I assumed she jumped on the glider that is right next to the crib and jumped in. Last night, she followed me into the nursery. I sat in the glider and rocked C for a few minutes. While I was is said glider, the dog straight up jumped up and over the side rail and into the crib. I immediately grabbed her and got her out. Thank good the baby wasn't in the crib! (Still using bassinet.) She didn't normally do things like that. I think she still has a little jealousy with the baby. Looks like we might have to leave the door to the nursery closed.
. your poor H, lol. And C has also started to rotate himself. I put him down on an activity mat yesterday. I was on the computer right next to him. Looked down a minute later, and he had rotated 90 degrees. Loud help me when this kid becomes mobile.

@justinslovo I know the weight drop was scary, but your girls were both string beans, too - I think that body type is even more obvious in little boys! You just make them tall and skinny. It sounds like he's doing great.
I'm having a love/hate relationship with being at work. My last group of students was a nightmare. Summer break please come soon. I would like to hold my babies instead of festering in children's germs all day.
I basically inhaled my coffee this morning because DD decided to very loudly poop at 4 am. She poops the loudest at the butt crack of dawn. I feel like she does not strain as loudly during the day time; it's morning exclusive. It's like she knows
If you were my yellow SSC, where would I have put you?
Coat closet? In one of your vehicles? In with the baby things that E may have outgrown around the time you stopped using it with her?
These are all the places I've checked and nothing! Urgh! I like that one so much more than my Ergo and I think Max could handle it, but I can't find it.
Maybe I tucked it in some luggage because I put it away when I was already pregnant and my brain was already scrambled...

In true child-of-erinshelley fashion, a Wonder Week might be to blame for DD's later than usual bedtime. She will be 8 weeks tomorrow, which means she's really 5 weeks old right now for wonder weeks and there is a 5 weeks one.
I love those damn things. They always make me feel better about my ability to care for a baby.

I did this with one carrier. Found it during pregnancy, put it in a "safe place I would remember" and it has never been found. I am now the owner of 2 carriers but can only locate one.
