My kids aren't allowed to come out of their rooms until 6 am, so I set the 4 year old's clock back 20 minutes to buy me some extra quiet time in the morning.
My boss is out of the office and I have spent most of my morning googling tutorials on how to sew a waldorf doll because I saw a Bambolina doll someone posted a picture of and they're so damn adorable and then I saw the price. Maybe it can be a summer project, along with all the other things I want to sew despite my lack of sewing machine...
I'm avoiding today's water thread because I am not doing well at drinking enough and my plant Nanny app wants me to drink a crazy amount. Probably should delete the thing...
I'm not enjoying my one on one time with C very much. I just don't really enjoy playing with toys and I can't handle her constantly wanting to be entertained by me. I'm so glad I have multiple children who can entertain each other most of the time. This is part of why I agreed to DH taking both O and E, I knew it would actually be easier for him to have both of them because they entertain each other.
We HAVE been doing fun activities. Yesterday we went to the zoo and today we're having lunch out and then going to check out our local library - we've never been!
I'm came home midday and saw a package by the door. I brought it inside and then saw that it was from a Turkish coffee place. DH and I had spectacular Turkish coffee last weekend and I'm guessing that he bought some Turkish coffee making supplies. But, since he didn't mention it to me, I'm guessing that it's a Mother's Day gift or something. I don't want to ruin his surprise, so I put it back out by the door and I'm going back to the bakery, so that he can be the one to bring the box inside.

Aww, that's sweet, Mapes. And yay for fun coffee supplies!
I am being much too short and impatient with R lately. I need to chill and don't know how. I'm judging myself for this.
And DH just left today on a 7 day business trip.
Pregnancy + toddler is hard. I was so constantly exhausted and did not have the energy that I wanted for M. But we both survived. And M still loves me. It's ok to be human sometimes.

I told him before nap that I was taking him out to dinner. I got upset with him for getting out of bed several times. Then he finally went to sleep. When he got up, he independently got dressed in khakis and a button down and asked for a tie. So adorable. And then I cried because I was not nice during nap.
Today while I was weed eating I disturbed a snake. I'm pretty sure it was just a gopher snake, but unfortunately I live by the "no snake is a good snake" rule so I chopped it's head off with my hoe.
Later on I was doing goat chores and witnessed a spectaular phenomenon in which all of my chicks were suddenly attempting to drown themselves in the water trough. The failure was on my part as I found their waterer to be empty. 😕
I was so exhausted last night and this morning, that when I woke up and noticed mh still next to me, I asked him to get E up and take her to school bc I was so tired. Then he came back and cooked breakfast and watched P while I slept 2 more hours.
It didn't even cross my mind to wonder why he was home. Yeah. It's his bday. Whoops!

They aren't as difficult to make as they look at first. I loved being able to customize my girls' dolls to look like them. I am mostly through with the one for my son, since he keeps trying to take the girls'.

Cute! I'm thinking this one will need crazy rainbow hair, but we'll see what I decide when I actually get the supplies...
I am TI.RED. I'm stressed about the final push of stuff happening at the bakery today while I can't be there and my kids are being kiddos. I'm kind of in a "I can't deal" mode. But my kids are good in the car. So we took a veeeerrrrry long way around to the library this morning. And I aimed for every possible red light.
