I saw "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" last night and it was hilarious! If you saw the first one...go see the second! It was great!
Not so great? My daughter woke up 3 times last night. The last time was at 6:30...for the day. Her usual wake up is 8-8:30. I'm so tired. I'm currently devouring French toast sticks and counting the minutes until nap time. Man, I've been making bad food decisions lately.
Any confessions?! Fun weekend plans?! How's everyone feeling?
I was sooo sick last night I got in bed before 9. Yesterday I was dizzy off and on all day until I got sick right before bath time. I felt so bad bc DD was so excited to see me after school and I was pretty much couch bound and went to bed right after her. DD woke up at 1am inconsolable and ended up in our bed. I think she had a bad dream. Feeling less dizzy today. I have an appointment for a mani pedi and facial this afternoon. DH got it for me for Valentine's Day and I haven't had time to use it yet with school so today's the day!
Guardians is like tops on my list for this weekend. H has to work late tonight AND tomorrow so I'm hoping we have time on Sunday to go. Glad to hear it's good, cutay ! (Also sorry your DD woke up so much... hopefully she'll have a good nap?)
It's pouring here, and I think it's supposed to rain most of tomorrow, too. Aside from bringing a care package to a friend (tonsillectomy earlier this week), I think my plan is to stay in and do some serious crafting while catching up on Handmaid's Tale.
ETA: Glad you are feeling better this morning, babydsmama. Enjoy your spa day!!!

babydsmama have you talked to your ob/gyn about the dizziness? It's sounds like it's happening a lot and worries me.
I really want to see Gaurdians, but it seems like trying to coordinate a date night anymore is more trouble than its worth. I wish "view at home" tickets were an option, like you can still see a movie the opening weekend, but it streams to your tv instead of having to go out. I'd gladly pay a premium for that service.

cutay, I'm glad Guardians was good. I was surprised how much I liked the first one. I figure we'll see this new one eventually, but we're really bad about actually making it to movies while they're in the theater. babydsmama, here's hoping you continue to feel better today! I haven't had the dizziness yet, but that sounds awful. cakewench, a crafting and Handmaid's Tale weekend sounds lovely.
AFM--work will be insanely quiet today, so I think I'm going to leave after lunch and run some errands. I foresee tonight being pretty low-key. We have a ton of leftovers in the fridge so at least I won't have to cook dinner. Tomorrow, we might go test drive cars since mine is 22 years old and should probably be replaced soon. I'm hoping to get a few walks in since the weather is going to be nice, and I need to get some cleaning done.

FFFC: Yesterday, as I was sliding off the u/s table I stepped in some goop that fell off the wand at some point during the u/s. Today, I'm still wearing the same socks that encountered said goop. I'm gross and I know it.

I woke with a headache and pushed through the day, but it was a migraine by the night. Once dh was back to my brothers I retreated to the basement guest room by 8 and haven't emerged. Right now DD is still sleeping though

babydsmama, so sorry you felt so crummy. I hope you feel better and are able to enjoy your mani/pedi! What color are you thinking? Have so much fun! cakewench, go see Guardians this weekend. I laughed constantly. So good! mrscatfarmer13, You're right, being home is SO much easier. We were fortunate enough to get a babysitter, but then I got stuck in over 3 hours of traffic round trip, so I would've much rather watched it at home in my PJs. leekpartyof2, We are bad about going, too, but I'm glad we did. We tried out this new theater that has reclining seats. It was heaven! What kind of car are you looking for?

I haven't yet bc it's not every day. (I'm probably a terrible patient). I will definitely mention it at my appointment on Monday. I guess I've just been chalking it up to MS which I never had with DD. Thanks!

I'm thinking a Subaru Crosstrek. I currently commute into the foothills and so really like the AWD/safety of Subarus. DH wants me to try the Outback, but it feels a little big. We'll see... I'm kind of excited for a car where the radio works and such modern inventions as power windows
Yesterday we got a call from our floor guy that the company who makes the finish we wanted for our floor sent the wrong one! So instead of finishing our floors today he's going to have to do it Monday when he gets the right product in. But at least we finally got our perimeter countertops installed.
Today is my "short" 8 hour day at work so it should go by quickly.
Tomorrow is our town's wine festival, which should be fun even if I can't drink. I'm also hoping we can see Guardians of the Galaxy this weekend and go cherry picking.
cutay I'm not sure! I might do a purple or pink. It's been 80-90degrees here for awhile and I'm embarrassed that my toes have been naked! I'll PIP later!

We were looking at Subarus and ended up with the Forester, which we love. We've had it about a year now and it is such a good car. I liked that the Forester was higher than the Outback, and a little less rugged in the interior than the Crosstrek, which feels sportier than the Forester. I liked the Crosstrek a lot though too.
Look into the Eyesight feature. We love it, and if you do a good amount of highway driving, it makes it so easy because it has a smart cruise control feature, so it will adjust your speed to keep a stable distance between you and the car in front of you. I was surprised by what a difference it made. The same feature also has emergency braking, so if it detects an obstacle in front of you, and you aren't braking yet, it will.

My parents have a Forester. We're all pretty loyal Subaru drivers and I don't love the boxiness of it, but I certainly haven't ruled it out. I've ridden with my boss in her Outback with the Eyesight and it kinda freaked me out. But since there are virtually no cool features on my current car, the thing that excites me the most is the potential for heated seats!

Are you looking at a new or used? We have 3 Outbacks ( '96, '01, and '11) and love them. Two of ours have the 3.6 engine and it really is the best in terms of power, but the MPG isn't as great. H is a bit of a Subaru junkie so you're welcome to shoot any questions this way.
ETA: Heated seats are probably my favorite feature. I just used them them today, for the cold soggy morning we have here

For you ladies who aren't new to the pregnancy game, do you do anything different with your pregnancy mani/pedis, like special polishes or anything like that? I have both coming up and wondered if I needed to take along my own polish or if what I typically use would be ok.

I'm not sure yet. I'd be fine with used, although here in CO, it's hard to find used ones that are much cheaper than new without a ton of miles on them. DH works for Boeing and they have some perks, so it might make more sense to go new unless we connect with an auto broker that can bring a used one in from out of state.

Nah, as long as where ever you go is well ventilated you can use and do all the same mani/pedi business.

I have pretty much been in bed by 8:30 every day this week. My cousins are driving into town with their 8 month old and I am SO EXCITED. They are staying the weekend with us though so I am hoping that I can stay up a little later with them...
I feel like a lot of us had rough times with our little ones last night. What's up with that?!
DS has been waking up every night at 11:30, 2:20, and then wanting to be up for the day 6 or earlier since I found out I am pregnant. It's like he knows.

I didn't even think about this. I have a gift card so I'll be going soon.

I tend to avoid getting them done because I am a paranoid crazy person. I also always bring my own polish - I prefer Butter London, which is a five-free brand (plus their gel finish lasts on my nails for awhile).
I will probably wait to get mine done until I am in the second or third tri, and do it sparingly, in a well-ventilated place. My last pregnancy I had them move me because someone started doing acrylics right next to me while I was getting mine done for the first time. I thought I was going to have a heart attack.
I think incidental mani/pedi use is not a big deal, but the NYT did an expose on nail salons and did not that salon workers have a higher risk of miscarriage than normal, which is attributed to all the chemicals they are working with. Obviously one mani/pedi is a different exposure length, but like I said, paranoid crazy person.

I kinda freaked myself out with a Google search, which is why I asked the wisdom of the board and I appreciate both sides. I looked at some of the Butter colors and really liked them, so if I can find some this weekend, I'll probably pick one up just to be safe. I don't get them frequently, but I'm doing them with SIL, SMIL, SSIL after Mother's Day and then as part of our Spa Day in Arizona. Since they don't know I'm pregnant yet, I'm trying to act as normal as possible.
leekpartyof2 I would personally only worry about it if the smell is going to make you sick. I had mani/pedis a few times during my last pregnancy and was fine. I definitely need to make an appointment for one right now actually!

FFFC: I haven't weighed myself in months, so I have nothing more than a guestimate of my pre-pregnancy weight and anything I've gained so far. Is this problematic?
