I have my therapy appointment this morning and might do an interview for the paper after since my FIL will have Big P. The food trucks went so well last night. Writing for the paper is the perfect thing for me because I am such a social butterfly and love to be in the know. I also love walking around and was able to hit 10,000 steps yesterday because of all the kid free time I had walking around to do the interviews for my article. I pretty much make my own schedule since I free lance and am finally getting in the groove as all articles have a Monday deadline which leaves the middle of the week for me to relax or blog if I choose to.
I'm hitting a roadblock at work. I have only one project right now and it's getting stale. I like to be busier and mix things up a bit. To make matters worse, it's not something I enjoy or have much experience with. Really difficult to find the motivation to work 8 hours a day on something I struggle with. I feel like running to the store for a bunch of junk food because eating is all I want to do when stressed.
It's going to be very rainy today in CT as well penguin129. What is Zombie Ice? I'm so glad the freelancing is going well for you. erien22846, I am also a stress eater. I need to cut back on it, though, because N asked me this morning why my belly was still big. Thanks, kid, just what I needed to hear first thing in the morning.
Last night was a rough one in the Potato house. N bit G on the hand because he "wanted to surprise his brother." I'm pretty sure it wasn't malicious, but MH was furious him about it. He ended up sending N to his room not long before I got home, and N fell asleep. He didn't want dinner, and ended up sleeping 12 hours last night. MH felt very guilty about the way he handled it (there was a whole lot of yelling), but I tried to reassure him he handled it properly. MH ended up sleeping on N's floor last night after we talked at midnight. Everyone seemed to be in better spirits this morning. G is fine, by the way. There were a couple little red marks on his hand last night, but they were gone as of this morning.
I love that you're loving your freelance work so much, penguin129! That's great! I totally would have skipped McDonald's and eaten from the food trucks, though, because YUM. What is zombie ice?
Someone at DH's company put in his resignation yesterday, which means that DH may get a big promotion sooner than expected. We have no idea if that's actually going to happen, but it would make the most sense, since that is the current plan anyway (just not for another year or two). Please cross your fingers!
We signed the paperwork to list the house last night. We're seeing the top two houses we really like Sunday and if we love the first as much as we do from the pictures we'll put in an offer and have our house on the market by Tuesday.
Busy fixing a few things and decluttering. The kids are cooperating nicely allowing me to get stuff done.
We're hitting up the lake this morning for a playdate since it's forecasted to be the hottest day so far this year.
We have a meeting with our mortgage broker later this afternoon. So much to do.
@kitchen - Don't you love when you get a low quote like that! Woo hoo is right! I'm so glad your DS took his meds without issue and is feeling better!
DS didn't sleep so great last night. He's still so congested and coughing. His nose isn't as runny, but the snot is much thicker. He's so happy when he gets up in the morning, even though he looks so tired and sick. DH has today off, so hopefully DS will take some decent naps.
DD1 and I are going to her school book fair/ice cream social tonight. DD2 didnt' want to go and I'm kind of glad because it'll be nice to spend some one-on-one time with my biggest girl.
I have so much to do tomorrow to get ready for DD2's birthday party on Sunday. What was I thinking having it at my house?? There are going to be 13 kids, including my girls, and a handful of parents.

penguin129, so glad that you are enjoying your freelancing and that it gives you lots of me-time! jwinct, FX'd for your hubs. @kitchen Glad this new med is working for him, and yay low quote! @snuff9861, lookit that peanut! WOW! Congrats again.
The downpour in the DMV made my morning commute hell. 2 hrs to get in and lord knows how awful it'll be going home tonight.
My little man is becoming a glutton. I can't eat anything within a 5 foot radius of him without him demanding a bite (or two or six) as well. He was furious about me only giving him tastes of my oatmeal this morning, he wanted the whole bowl.
OMG, I feel like this day is never going to end. It's so rainy and dreary. I'm putting together client invoices right now and I really don't feel like doing it. Staring at numbers makes me want to go to sleep. At least I only have one more hour until I can go downstairs and hang out and have a drink.
penguin129 glad freelancing is going so well for you. Sounds like a great outlet to channel your creativity! smallpotato sorry about the rough night - they can be so draining @kitchen that's awesome about the fence and that DS is feeling better! @snuff9861 yay for adorable baby pics! I can't believe you are already this far along!
Dreary day here. Rainy and raw. Hopefully it's a little nice this weekend. DD slept from 6:15PM to 8AM with only two short wake ups to eat. It was glorious! Took a trip to HomeGoods to pick up some healthy snacks. I love their food section - healthy foods for much cheaper than norm. DH is closing tonight, so it's just me and the kiddos!
Uneventful work day today. DS2 started army crawling forward and even got up on his hands and knees to try to crawl on the floor. I'm excited but also blah because it was so nice not to have baby gates up for the past two years.
