I'm sick of the rain. It's been in the 40s all week with lots of wind and rain. I need to get out of the house, but live in the middle of nowhere, so no indoor fun options. My kids are driving me nuts. I'm bummed about having to wait so long for my A/S. Happy it's the weekend though! Hopefully DHs class will be short tomorrow and we can do some relaxing.

We've had SO MUCH RAIN here lately. We have really terrible flooding in parts of our state. But it's supposed to be a GORGEOUS WEEKEND to be outside and I'm so excited because we don't have much planned.

I am currently sitting in the chair with my feet soaking, waiting on my pedicure to begin. After a week of travel and nonstop work, this is pure bliss. 👌🏻
Soooooo....... I have been having this weird pain in my left side - pelvicish region. Like, if I had to guess, it would be near wear my left ovary is. So I called the OB office but they do surgeries Friday mornings so I'm just trying not to freak out. Google wasn't helpful to my mental state. I'm telling myself it's just stretching and growing stuff (17 weeks tomorrow) but it's so localized in one spot and with the weekend coming up I didn't want to wait.... ugh.
Dh said he'd take DD and I out tonight so I'm trying to focus on where we can go and what I'm craving, which changes by the hour!

That is exactly where this kid is making itself cozy...my left ovary. I don't appreciate it.
No rain here, but we are having some crazy 70 degree days where I need a jacket to sit outside. This is basically winter weather in Texas.
Also, we listed our house yesterday and already have multiple offers!! At least one full price! I'm freaking out this is happening so fast. We bought this house 10 years ago right before we got married, and I'm a little sad at leaving it, even though I despise the location.

It feels like I'm waiting forever for any scans this time! It sucks. This doctor said she doesn't do the regular NT scan around 12 weeks - instead it's a blood test around 16 weeks. It's killing me to wait and feel like I know nothing.

It's gorgeous here today, 75 and sunny. I'm watching my 3 yr old nephew today, and I love watching how well DS and him play together. Definitely making a trip to the park after nap time. Also, I smell someone grilling, and now I neeeeed something delicious grilled. Like a steak. Mmmmm

I have thrown in the towel on potty training. I was using the 3 day method where you get them to tell you when they have to go, only she would tell me when she started peeing. I feel like a failure but at the same time I guess DD isn't 100% ready even though she is showing all the signs.
We are getting a months worth of rain over the weekend, add that to all the rain we get in the spring and the saturated ground and it's a recipe for flooding. Luckily the area we live in is not prone to flooding.
Booked my tickets to go see Guardians tomorrow. Luckily, we got the last 2 seats in the "good" section of the theater - aka not right the fuck in front of the screen.

DD got sent home from daycare yesterday because she "threw up" after snack. I think she ate too fast because she has been perfectly fine since DH got her home. But of course I had to take today off because she wasn't allowed back today. I brought her to work for our Cinco de Mayo potluck and she had a blast running around the hospital haha She should sleep well tonight!

That's the method I used for my first two and it worked pretty well. I need to potty train my youngest before this baby comes along and i'm dreading it!
Tough day here... spent most of last night in urgent care and then the emergency department with DD, her fever spiked to 104/105. She's on antibiotics and Motrin now and is currently taking her 2nd nap today... this mama is tired

Cythe definitely scary. We got it down to 99 when we left the ed, but it's been 102/101 today... she's been eating and drinking more than she did yesterday so I'm not too worried. She's obviously still trying to fight off whatever she's got

kj808 Any tips? After I gave up and put the diaper back on she was telling us when she went pee not before. She just turned two so maybe I just need to wait a bit.

Sorry I just saw this! Really my only tip is consistency is key. Seriously just keep at it. Keep telling her over and over "Tell mommy when you need to go potty!" I was saying it to them like every 10-20 seconds. It got exhausting, but after a while I feel like it just clicked.
I did wait until 2 1/2 though, which is a little older, but I think it helped.
