Random: A few weeks ago when you mentioned that we have birthdays very close together my first thought was that itd be weird if you were also turning 27 *shifty eyes*
Don't we both have Native American/First Nation husband's too?
*I am not trying to be a werido. I just feel like this has been discused.
Yes! I think there were more than a few times I noticed that you and I had some random overlaps. That's why I thought the 27 thing. Lyfe twins.
@amc25 are you like completely left handed? I write, eat and swing a bat left handed but that's it, which technically makes me both handed.
I guess I'm ambidextrous, then! I write, eat, cut with scissors, and do a lot of other fine motor things using my left hand, but throw a ball, shoot pool, use a computer mouse or trackpad, and wash dishes using my right hand.
Interestingly enough, when it comes to one-handed typing on my phone, I'm faster and more accurate with my right hand!
I always thought I was ambidextrous but I can't do my left handed things with my right and vice versa. I googled one day and that's where I learned about the both handed thing. My dad was the same way except whatever he did left handed I did right handed.

Aside from our fairly opposite climates lol.
Lol.
Speaking of climate. It's cold (for me) today. Our high today was 54 and the low is 46!
Tomorrow is going to be 86 again. WTF.
The climate in Indiana has changed to f'ing rain forest. We've gotten over 8 inches of rain this week. Schools have had delays, closed early, cancelled events. Its ridiculous.

1. I have two rescue kitties that I love dearly. 2. I was captain of my high school volleyball team. 3. I'm a marine biologist/behavioral ecologist turned SAHM. 4. I am also obsessed with turtles. 5. I lived in French Polynesia for a year during grad school.

Omg ! My dream job has always been to be a Marine Biologist I am so jealous!
1. I am also left handed 2. I am obsessed with turtles 🐢 3. My nickname is "two-same toe" as my last two toes are the same size 4. I read my grandmothers eulogy when I was 17 at her funeral 5. My ear lobes are connected at the bottom
Funny facts: My daughter inherited my two same toe and my son inherited my earlobes Poor kids!
Sometimes that first marriage is like the first pancake. No shame in throwing it out.
*snort laugh*
Second marriage here as well. I was engaged three times, but thankfully only married my first and third fiancés. My second fiancé would've been a much worse husband than my first.
Holy shit. I was also engaged 3 times.
DH and I skipped getting engaged and just eloped while he was on shore leave.
I'll explain since y'all know my age. I got engaged to my high school sweetheart (me 18, him 20). He cheated on me and we broke up.
At 19 engaged to an early college boyfriend. We broke it off because life was going in different directions for both of us.
At 21 I got engaged to first H. He was 25, had a great job, was a competitive body builder, crazy handsome. We got married and things went...crazy. We went to therapy and he eventually told me he was struggling with his gender. We got a divorce after he told me he wanted to become and live life as a woman. I actually tried to annul this marriage, but the judge wouldn't do it because we lived together before marriage and had a sexual relationship.
I met DH during my divorce. We dated for a while, got married, and now we have two kids.

1. I started playing the flute in 5th grade and continued in band through hs. I was also in marching band. 2. I kinda suck at being a housewife. I don't like cleaning and cooking is ok, but I hate cleaning up the kitchen so that I feel motivated to cook. 3. I don't have many friends. I've moved several times and for whatever reason I never keep in touch with my friends from the previous place (and they don't make an effort either.) 4. I graduated in December with a degree in elementary ed, but I'm not sure that I want to teach. I don't know what I want to do though. 5. I am married, have 2 kids, own a house, and drive a minivan. I'll be 23 next month. Along with this, DH and I got married less than a year after we knew each other and I was 16 weeks pregnant with DS1 when we got married.
kristhegirl I don't mind sharing! My dad was really shocked and struggled to reconcile it with his religious views but said upfront that it didn't change how he felt about me. It's one of the few issues he disagrees with other republicans about and he truly believes it. My two older brothers were gigantic assholes (in the name of Jesus of course) and only by this last Christmas have they started treating me like their sister again. My sister has been amazing, even though she was just as conservative as I was. My mom passed away when I was 18 but I'm fairly certain she would have embraced me and my wife.
@priss08 I never completely left my faith but never thought I would call myself a Christian again. We recently found the episcopal church and my wife and I are now baptized members. We love it, especially because we live in Texas.
I feel I should add I didn't just leave the Republican Party because one issue... it just was the impetus that changed my world view.
1. I also love turtles. I have a tattoo of one on my shhoulder blade. 2. I played golf competitively until high school and placed in the top 3 of national and international tournaments. 3. I have an almost 8 year old step daughter. 4. Another House Hunters fan here, but I get extremely frustrated watching sometimes. The COL here is very high and it's hard to watch people getting so much house (and being overly demanding) for the amount of money that would only get a shack here. 5. Lately I've been binge watching Jane the Virgin.

I am completely geeking out about House Hunters kristhegirl! HGTV is practically the only channel I watch (post-election at least lol). Can you share what your experience was like?
ladytiffany24 - I'm a HUGE musical theater geek although I have zero talent personally. I just love to go see shows whenever I can! What shows have you been in? Do you have a favorite role?
The PhD has me very impressed. I just turned 27 and I'm siting here like #whathaveidonewithmylife
Yup. Getting ready to turn 28 this year. I own an insurance agency but question my ability to run it on a daily basis.
I'm just sitting here like whoa, I'm old. erinshelley21 and @priss08, you guys already parent 2 kids at an age where I basically went to work, then happy hour, then repeat. 😳At 28, there was no dog, no house, no kids- just me and H in our apartment on the 54th floor of a high rise having fun 7 days a week.
Things didn't start to get remotely responsible until I turned 30.

caer I've been in the Wizard of Oz, Godspell, Hello Dolly, Grease, How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Damn Yankees...I've never been in a lead role. Typically smaller roles and the chorus. My favorite role was Cha-Cha in Grease!
What's your favorite musical you've seen?! Mine is Rent! And Wicked. Also loved In the Heights. My ultimate favorite is seeing shows in NYC of course, but I'll see the traveling shows when they come to town. I would have killed to have seen the original cast of Hamilton on broadway! For now, I'll settle for seeing it when it comes to my town, or if I get back to NYC anytime soon.
I have a crush on Lin Manuel Miranda. Weird, I know. But I saw him on broadway in In the Heights before he got super big. I adore him.
1. I've been a vegetarian for 24 years. 2. I used to ride horses competitively and thought I'd do it professionally until I was in my early 20s. 3. I spent a decade working in the restaurant industry. I worked as a bartender all through college and law school and I still miss it some days. 4. I love sports. Baseball is my absolute favorite but I'll pretty much watch anything - golf, tennis, hockey, you name it! 5. I like to gamble. Pre-kids, I would make annual trips to Vegas with my family. Craps is my fave.

caer I love sports too!!! Let's be BFFs! I'll watch just about anything as well, though baseball and football are my favs. I'm a diehard Cleveland sports fan so last year was an exciting year as you can imagine!

That's a cool assortment of musicals! I also have a huge crush on Lin Manuel Miranda. Im currently listening to Hamilton on a loop in my car! I've never seen or even heard In the Heights. Maybe I need to buy the soundtrack?
My favorite musicals were probably The Book of Mormon with the original cast and Cabaret when Alan Cumming reprised his role. Love him! I saw it when Michelle Williams was Sally and she was actually pretty good, too.

Yay! I love all Philly sports and we're not really rivals in anything so we can definitely be sport BFFs! Lol. Yes, your baseball year was pretty awesome last year. Football was another story, I know. We don't have any good teams right now so I'm living vicariously through others!
caer I love to gamble and sports too! My grandma took all the grandkids to Vegas when we turned 21, so I blame her. I avoided craps for years and mostly played blackjack or pai gow, but now it's got to be my favorite too.

+1 at 28, I wasn't even married...more responsibility came on my 30s too.

Ha, it was my grandmother who first took me gambling, too! It's definitely one of those things that's in your blood, I think.

caer while basketball is not my number one favorite sport, our basketball season was also super exciting! Just winning some sort of championship was easily one of the highlights of my life. I cried happy tears. Being a Cleveland sports fan is rough.
1. I have a masters degree. I technically used it at my job but it's actually meant for higher level jobs at my workplace... and I'm pretty sure I have no interest in those positions. 2. DH was my first BF, which is pretty much just a confession that I didn't date until university. 3. I tend to pride myself on being a good judge of character. 4. I attended 5 different elementary schools even though my Dad left the military before I started school.
