Not raining here but it's in the 50s today so definitely cooler than what we've been having.
We aren't doing much today, H is covering someone at work and I have absolutely no energy to do anything and feel slightly nauseated. I could just lay in bed all day and sleep but toddlers be toddlin' so that's not a possibility!

Looks like a sunny day here and a little cooler (we'll, low 80s instead of 90s). We hope to get DD out today and take her to a park. There's a nice shady one where she can play and DS and I can sit.
Mid 60s and sunny here today. H is doing a side job today and tomorrow. I'm trying to decide if I want to bring DD to a playdate at the park with a couple of friends later this afternoon. On the one hand it will entertain her and may help keep me sane today. On the other hand, it's a lot of running around that I'm not sure I'm up for. Decisions...
We took my car to the dealer to get the headliner fixed.. it started to fall down in the back. It's under warranty and was supposedly fixed before we bought it due to a recall (uh huh, sure.. 🙄). Anyway, we dropped it off at 8am yesterday and was told it'll be done by the end of the day. We called yesterday after 4p for an ETA since they never called and were told that they didn't have the glue (we had this appointment booked for over a week now) so it'll be ready Monday afternoon.
Um, 1) you knew why we were coming in. Shouldn't you have what you need to fix it?
2) why did you not call to say it would take longer when you called 3 hours prior to ask if you could remove the car seats?
3) why did it not occur to you to call and tell us we're down a car all weekend when you knew it would take more time?

FFS. Do not recommend this place for work
That's so annoying!! Can they give you a loaner car?

It's rainy here in MA. MH drove to Western MA to run some type of 12 mile trail race. He thinks it'll take him about 4 hours... probably won't be back til 2. Hopefully DS cooperates when it's nap time .....
In the meantime I'm going to keep plowing through my to-do list. We finally got the crib set up so I can keep trucking on getting 2.0's room ready (which is tricky because she'll be sharing a tiny space with her brother 😬).
It's super foggy out but it's supposed to rain on and off all weekend. I'm trying to convince myself to get out of bed and get some cleaning done. H is up making breakfast.
I wonder if I can afford to schedule a day where I stay in bed and do nothing all day before this baby comes. That sounds lovely.
I bought fabric for curtains and I really don't like it much. I think JoAnn's will let me return it (it hasn't been cut or washed) - does anyone know? H says he likes it but agreed to humor me and look for something else (again).

I'm making the executive decision to nap when DS does and ignore the stuff I need to do and just not shower today. This is like first tri level of sleepiness! A part of me wants to think "maybe this all means something??" but then logic kicks in and I'll only be 37w tomorrow so more than likely it's nothing. *le sigh*
hpnegirl Sorry about the car troubles, I'd be so annoyed that it went from a quick in and out to the whole weekend.

I don't think so. It's so stupid. Luckily, we have two cars but now DH has to take more time off from work to go pick it up on Monday. 😒 also, if they need to call and get authorization for anything else, he can't have his cell phone at work so that'll make it even longer for it
PirateCat, you definitely should schedule a day to do nothing before baby comes! I highly recommend it!
I've been feeling too anxious about getting things ready for the baby but hopefully I'll manage to get enough done in the next couple of weeks and take some time to myself. I do think it will really help.

That looks so cute. I have been debating getting something like that but couldn't find anything soft or cute enough. That one looks perfect!
Lazy weekend for us, thank goodness. I'm tired and ready for baby to be here but she doesn't seem to be in a rush. DH is making a fire pit so he and DS can make s'mores tonight and I'm watching from the patio. We've just had a family hang out day today and it's been really nice.
I have a massage booked for tomorrow afternoon during DS1's nap time. At max, DH will have to solo parent for 30 minutes (provided DS1 naps as normal). I'm so excited. My shoulders are so sore, and now that the giant boobs have subsided, I'm hoping that those knots will finally be able to go away

I've been doing school work most of the day and just called it quits for the night. I want to do a little organization in the baby's room but will wait for the cloth diapers to finish drying. DW just prepped them with 5 washes before going in the dryer. Fun times for our water bill lol. Also the day became super nice after the rain ended and part of me wants to go for a walk but that requires getting dressed and hoping my hips/groin stop spasming!

rosesquared make sure you check their absorbency before you use them. Our smart bottoms and organic blueberries needed more than 5-6 washes to be fully prepped

hpnegirl Really? My understanding was it was to get any residual plant fibers out of the organic materials. Not necessarily because of absorption. What do I look for?! 😉

Yes, really. It was over 10 washes before they became absorbent. You can test by pouring a small amount of water on the dry diaper. If it absorbs really quick, you're good. If not, prep more
I'm prepping some new workhorses.... blah......thank goodness my flats and prefolds just need to be washed once from sitting so long...prepping is the worst!

Also to all the cloth diaper mamas, what brand detergent do you use? We got Allen's natural but I just heard it might not clean them well enough even though it came highly recommended from the diaper store we go to.

Not much going on here, 39 weeks today! I pretty much hate all people right now and everything annoys me so I feel really bad for DH and my two boys right now. Plus DS2 got up at 4 am FOR THE DAY today so I'm exhausted. And he's disgusting and snotty and obviously doesn't feel great. Awesome that we have a newborn coming on Friday. Yikes!
I can tell my hormones are changing because I'm breaking out like a teenager and have raging PMS symptoms. This happened at the end with my other two as well. So strange!

Liquid original tide. We have very hard water and liquid works better for us

We use regular tide powder. I think it is labeled for HE machines. I like the powder better because I can use a tablespoon to measure exactly how much. We also add 1/2cup of borax because we have really hard water
