DD and I are finishing up breakfast. H is still in bed (🙄). We plan to have a full day of house work/cleaning and then we're having a fish fry at MIL's tonight.

Hello! My toddler is currently eating breakfast at a snail's pace. I'm running on about 4.5 hours of sleep -- I got up to eat MOTN and couldn't get back to sleep -- so I'm content to stay parked at the table for a while. Yawn.
Good morning! I'm currently getting a pedicure while H takes DS to gym. Then I have to get my neice a birthday gift for her party today. Also have a banquet at our church to attend. Busy morning/afternoon.
Just ordered a large pizza and wings and then looked at H and asked him what he wanted lmao. His face was priceless. R is napping soon and I'm going to indulge. This weekend should be prettt chill unless my SIL decides to have a baby! I can't wait meet my first and only nephew!
Me:29(IC/PCOS)DH: 29 Jan13-BO dx @ 6W April14-1st RE appointment Sept14-IUI #1.1=BFP EDD-6/3/15- Our sweet baby Ryan was born on 1/6/15 & is in the arms of an Angel Dec15-Gave birth to a healthy baby Boy Feb17-EDD 10/28/17
We did a little work in the livingroom - DH put together a bookcase for our DVDs. Then we set it up and put the old, smaller cases in the garage. There's still more we have to do throughout to get ready for #2. Sigh, I'm tired.
Went shopping with DD for her big girl room this morning. I loved doing her nursery (which we'll use for #2) but this was fun to pick things out that actually match her feisty little personality. We still need the actual big furniture items but accessory shopping was fun!
My favorite babywearing wrap company is doing a special sale this weekend for Mother's Day - a mystery wrap box, 2 wraps (1 shorty and 1 long) for $139. I bought one for myself and I'm super excited to see what wraps the owner picks for me! I told DH that I bought my Mother's Day gift from him and he said "oh that's so thoughtful of me to get for you!" bahaha. At least he approved! (www.carislings.com for anyone curious)

I loved babywearing but wraps always intimidated me. They always look so pretty but I have no idea how to wrap or secure a baby?!?
I have an Ergo and DD loved it when she got around 6 months or so but not so much before the. I also have a k'tan that she tolerated from birth to 3 months. I definetly am going to try again though since I'll have a toddler and baby this next time!
danvers , before DS was born I practiced the Front Wrap Cross Carry with my wrap using a stuffed animal, lol. That's a great starter carry! I basically just taught myself how to wrap using YouTube videos - I don't personally know anyone locally that wraps (and none of my local friends have kids yet lol).
ETA I also have 2 Ergos and a K'Tan. I used the K'Tan early but as DS gained weight it got really uncomfortable on my shoulders after a short wear. The Ergo we still use every so often. One has mesh which is cooler for summer, though I also like ring slings and light wraps for summer.

Hey all, hope everyone is having a decent weekend so far! I worked this morning, then traded massages with a coworker before heading home. My neck and shoulders were in desperate need. I had time to meal plan while DS napped, then we headed to Aldi...after grabbing some McDonalds (it's against the rules to grocery shop on an empty stomach!). I bought him a bubble gun, that he gleefully played with while I made taco salad for dinner. I also bought a whole pineapple, which was a PITA to cut up, but so so delicious.

gamergirl360 I always feel like I end up cutting away 50% of the pineapple, even though I'm just following the instructions on the tag. I always forget how much of a PITA it is until we bring home another whole pineapple.

A Facebook friend had a huge yard sale and I snagged a double stroller and bouncer. I'm pumped because I was looking for both and these are good deals from someone I know/trust. I went back and forth on needing a double stroller but with 2 kids 22 months apart, I'll get my use out of it for the price I paid.

I bought a pineapple last week and threw away the tag. I did not realize there were instructions on it. I guess that shows how many whole pineapples I buy 🤷🏼♀️😂

Right!? I followed the tag instructions too, and the amount of pineapple thrown away made me a little sad. I nibble around the parts I cut off sometimes, just because I hate wasting the tasty goodness.
Re Baby wearing: I have a ring sling and a Mei Tai, neither got much use with DS. I did use the ring sling more, but just couldn't get a comfortable newborn carry. I'm thinking about getting something new, since I'd like to baby wear a lot more this time around. What would you guys recommend as the best newborn carrier/wrap?
gamergirl360, if you are looking for something easy, the K'Tan simplifies things and works well with new babies (though the min weight is 8 lbs I believe.)
If you want to wrap, woven wraps in 100% cotton or a cotton blend with tencel or bamboo are super soft and squish worthy. I'd get a base size wrap (average base size is size 6, but it could be 5 for petite ladies or 7/8 for fluffier ones). I did a lot of front wrap cross carry with my newborn, and wraps don't technically have a minimum weight to use since you can adjust/place/tighten freely.

Lazy Sunday here, DD watched Frozen for the first time she like Moana better. I cleaned up the kitchen and we figured out what landscaping we will do at the front of the house. Now we just have to buy the plants.
Add me to the list of baby wearers. I have a ring sling and a Tula. I used the ring sling the most. I did have a Moby wrap but wasn't confident enough to use it. I sold the Moby but will buy another wrap for this baby. I've been lurking the local baby wearing groups to see what I'll buy.

gamergirl360, i was all in with my ring sling from newborn squish to about 15 months when he started walking and didn't want to be worn anymore. I did buy a wrap when he was around a year old and used it a few times, but i think i needed a size bigger than i got. I'm getting a moby from a friend for this squish, and I'm so excited to try it out.
