But that's the thing. We weren't paying $3k for them to spread dirt! We could've grabbed some day laborers on the corner to do that for a fraction of the price.
Oh of course. Sorry my relay of his comment wasn't clear. He meant you got a free grading before you're actual work. I'd still be livid - my response was more in line with you and YH.
@betweenthelines I hope you are blasting them on social media/complaining higher up. Your lawn was so beautiful before!!
I would actually wait until they've fixed anything before a move like that. If you've steady trashed then they have less incentive to fix their mistake.
@betweenthelines,i am unsure how seeding your dirt pile makes it right? why would you wait a month for a fix when it was perfectly fine before the landscaper fucked it up? I'd be telling him to remove the dirt, resod the shit out of it until it looked like it did before, then he could do what he was supposed to do in the first place - and I wouldn't be paying him a dime.
i was going to say that C woke up at 4:30, made me blow dry his hair, straighten it, and spray him with my perfume while I did all that to myself. He also made me put "lipstick" (chapstick) on him as well. Dude is weird.

seriously, why is seeding it the best option?
If they rake the dirt out it'll just cause even more mess for us. It'll ruin the lawn under the dirt and will then push back the fence installation. The way we are looking at it is we will have an even nicer lawn because according to the landscaper, it is a top dressing of dirt, not a solid cover, which will allow the original grass to still come through fairly quickly, in addition to the newly seeded dirt. Holy commas. Whatever. This guy was the same company that cleared our whole yard of trees and graded it for us in the beginning, last Spring. We know he does good work and at this point we have to trust him since this is his gig.
MH also told him that if in 2 weeks, we don't have SOME sort of lawn showing (because he said in 2 weeks we should have grass) that he's coming back at no extra charge and he will continue to treat it until we have a beautiful lawn again.

My mom comes for a visit today. She's going to help my aunt who had her knee replaced yesterday. This aunt is only 30 min from me. She'll be here overnight. I'm bummed because I have a board meeting tonight.
Play date with friends today. We might head to he arboretum this afternoon.
tuscanlatte , congrats on the diagnosis? That sounds weird but I have often thought what if there was some relatively simple reason for my issues. Good luck with the monthly shots!
thanks, I know what you mean, I felt like I was the unluckiest person ever to have such a collection of issues. If this is really it, then it makes sense that I have only been managing symptoms all this time and not actually fixing it. So I know exactly what you mean!
tuscanlatte I ended up gabbing to have it approved by several people, but I was just told a few minites ago that it is going to be approved since it's time sensitive.
layloo08 as a Nespresso lover I have to throw that one into the mix too. But despite this, I have been eyeing the ninja bar hard. I have the blender and love it so much. It does everything. A coffee can only be an amazing addition.

RandomName, is the nespresso worth the money? Like I hated the Tassimo, but I am guessing the Nespresso is a million steps up. Are the refills expensive?

We have two. One at home and I got one in my office. A few times a year they go on sale for like 50$ the catch is you have to buy a ton a coffee. But we buy that anyway so it worked out and we got a second one.
It seems like a lot up front but coffee is anywhere from 0.50-1.25 each depending how fancy pod you get. The coffee is WAY better than tassimo and other ones like that. I can't praise it enough. You can buy online and shipping with min purchase is free and fast.
