Nap questions again - if he will only nap on me should I let him? Or keep transferring to try and get at least a couple good naps in today?
I would try transferring in the morning, and let him work on it - let him fuss, only pick up if actually crying/upset. Then afternoon I'd let him nap on me if he really wouldn't nap all morning. I would swaddle fo' sho'.
I will warn you, it will feel like you're working on naps all day. Brace yourself.
Thanks! Half an hour to get him down for 20 mins of sleeping on me and 10 mins of stirring in the crib. But at least he napped.
Now pumping and eating and trying it over again. Omg.

The kids and I are all clean and dressed. I'm grateful that DS doesn't have school until the afternoon so that we can have lazy Monday mornings. We've played three rounds of Sneaky Snacky Squirrel so far this morning and I am the undisputed champion. 😉

Since he may be very overtired for a day or two I'd try to get in naps by any means necessary. Once he's not so overtired transferring should be easier.

Shots were not the worst thing ever this morning. So far she's sleeping in the wrap while I eat lunch.
I realized this morning that there's a big sticker on my antibiotics that says take on an empty stomach. I had it in my head I should take it with food so I'd been doing that. Oops.
I saw a spider in my office and I am pretty sure I will be bribing my next group--whoever kills/gets rid of the spider will get 5 school dollars to spend at the school store. No shame in my game.
Ok ds is going on 2 hours without getting sleepy....please send chocolate and wine.
If you're using white noise, do you have it up pretty loud? You'd be surprised how loud babies like their white noise. I think Moms On Call say to have the noise source at the same height as baby loud enough to be heard outside a closed door.
When DD is fussy, I'll put her in the wrap, shut us up in the laundry closet/room, and have the washer filling (there's always some laundry that needs done these days). Its surround sound, dark, cool, and I can bounce and sway her until she's asleep. If you have a bathroom with no windows or dim light, the bathroom fan is an awesome white noise source, too.

Thanks! Maybe the white noise isn't loud enough. I will turn it up to see if it helps.
We are now side laying while he comfort nurses. He just won't take naps. It's now 1:20pm and he's napped only 30 mins so far . Sigh.
After he is done bored at the breast I will try a walk in the stroller - he will sometimes sleep during the walk so maybe I can make it a longer one and count that as the second nap for the day.
C is usually a good napper, but he's fighting it hard today. he'll doze off, I'll get situated doing something, he'll wake himself up and fuss. Rinse and repeat.

moutonrouge please report back when you've found them and where.
I am mentally done working already. Have to pump one more time, going home to workout, and after I get the kids (or H since he's home today) its the evening madness. MIL said DD slept all morning so maybe good naps will mean good night time sleep. She could always get DS to nap too.
missi Yeah I don't have too much hope it will last long but trying to enjoy it while it lasts! They are currently singing at the top of their lungs in their room and it's nap time. Definitely picking my battles!
