xxjen015simon I'm so jealous of you both!! Snow days have pushed our last day to 6/22 so I'm hoping baby girl doesn't want to come early!! I wanted to try to get full into nesting and relaxing for those two weeks before the due date (7/8)! But she's my first and the stereotype is that first babies take a while so I guess we'll see...ultimately it's up to her!

Ah 6/22 is late! We had only 2 snow days this year so we lucked out, definitely not normal though. 2 weeks should be a perfect amount of time to relax! I have a month between when school ends and my csection and I wish it was shorter actually. I feel like I'm gonna go stir crazy waiting.
I wish I could play. That is what I plan to learn when the kids get older.
I read a blog from a golf instructor that said pregnancy is a good time to learn because it's low impact. I'm not sure about her logic there. I'm a mediocre golfer but DH likes to go and we haven't gone in over a year! We're thinking about doing a slow and easy nine this weekend.

I had this big random typed out about all the many, many things I have going on this weekend but TCF Gods ate it. So my random is that I'm highly stressed and I wish I could just close my eyes and skip over Saturday completely. Adding to my stress level is that DH's grandmother is on her deathbed. She lost the ability to swallow yesterday (can't eat, drink, or take Meds), and she was already so emaciated (down to 60 lbs), that hospice estimated she'd pass in 3-5 days. 3 days = Mother's Day; 5 days = his grandmother's birthday. And DH is the only child of a single divorced mom. So he's been with MIL 24/7 to give her support. It's been a rough few days here.
Thanks for asking. I'm ok. T didn't move for a full hour this morning after I woke up, and I was trying really hard not to panic. He has moved some since then after I ate a big breakfast, but he isn't being as wiggly as usual. I'll see how the day goes, and try my Doppler when I get home to make sure his heart rate is still up where it has been. ETA: the cramps lasted until I went to bed last night, but I haven't felt them yet today.
Crisco Salad did you have a party for your big 3 year old?
nola1017 I'm so sorry you are so stressed from your weekend and you dh's grandmother.
I've been having cramps also. As well as lots of BH and some real contractions as well. Last night they were starting in my back moving to the front and the pain went down my thighs. It lasted for a good hour and a half.
Thanks for the well wishes and support ladies. ❤ Today is half over - woot! So far, Meme is hanging in there. She hasn't improved but she hasn't worsened either.

No party for the big 3 year old. My parents were just here when I was in Chicago a few weeks ago and celebrated with him then. My ILs haven't even acknowledged the child's birthday, so that's a big pile of suck.
We went out for ice cream on his birthday and celebrated with his soccer ball cake last night.

That's crazy that the IL's haven't acknowledged his birthday!!! Is that a normal occurrence?

It's a little unusual. The weirder thing is that I got a Mother's Day card from each of them. My MIL claims her package was returned to her because she had the wrong zip code. She's flaky as hell, but this is even extra for her.

I've been so busy today (besides the nap 🙃) that every time I even slightly relax baby starts moving around. Now that I'm laying down in bed she's having her own personal dance party ❤️
@pianolove yesterday I did! Today, not so much. I'll see how it goes.
Gah! Hope today was better!
Unfortunately nope. I've been having really painful contractions on and off all day today. I'm starting to think they're just going to be a fact of life for the next 6 weeks. I should probably download a contraction timer just to see how they are. This is all new to me. H was freaking out all day because we are so unprepared still. I'm not ready to be worried about going into labor yet! Ahhh!

If it makes you feel any better, I had lots of painful contractions with my first that started around 33 weeks, and she didn't come until 38w1d, so hopefully you'll at least have time to get things settled! And here's hoping they lighten up and you get a break!

Thank you. That's good to know. I'm trying to stay away from google just because there is too much info and I don't even know what I'd search. So having these contractions is a normal thing? This pregnancy is polar opposite from my first, plus it was 7 years ago... so I feel like a FTM when it comes to all this end-of-pregnancy stuff.

I think a few people on my old bmb had this, they called it prodromal labor? Predromal? I forget, but it does seem to be normal for some people unfortunately
Yep. I googled that. Sounds exactly like what I have been going through. Lovely.
