I wore my belly band today because my pants are tight. If my appt goes well on Wed, I'm pulling out the maternity pants. Fuck it.
I never put away my maternity clothes, in fact, I bought my whole going back to work after DD1 wardrobe at a maternity shop. I know nothing of uncomfortable pants anymore. Highly recommend.

Lol. If everything is ok with this pregnancy I will have to buy some summer maternity clothes. My son was born in January so last time I was able to get away with regular summer clothes. This time, I already look 4 months pregnant and making a poor attempt to hide it.
I have been wearing my regular pants unbuttoned with a rubber band looped around the button and looped through the hole. I just make sure that I wear a top the falls low enough that no one can see it.

Today blows. I already threw up twice at work in 30 mins, and I'm having bad stomach cramps. They aren't low like period cramps, but up high. Hurts like a bitch. I don't know if it's from the heaving. I'm torn between being concerned about the cramps and relieved because I'm sick.

Maybe your uterus is expanding and pushing on your stomach and intestines? I would seriously go try to poop. TMI I know, but it might help.

yep, pooping seems to help with stomach pressure.... and TMI there's sooo much poop lately.

I'm hoping that is what it is. I haven't had a BM yet today so hopefully later after I manage to get something in my stomach. Thanks ladies.

Are you all doing anything to help with pooping? I took collace the last two days to help but I don't want to get in a habit of it. I am drinking juice, plenty of water, and eating salads and apples a lot.

rooskie, I added a fiber gummy that I take when things get really slow, but I hate the taste so I haven't taken them in a few days. I've found that a cup of hot tea (weakly brewed for lower caffeine) seems to help get things moving.

rooskie I haven't had a need to extra fiber, so I can't commiserate with you. I thought apples were supposed to help with diarrhea, not moving things along. You could try switching to an iron free PNV, iron is known for encouraging constipation.
mrscatfarmer13 - I've been taking the same PNV for almost 4 years now (holy cow) so I'm not sure if that is it.
The Pregnancy board talked about P fruits yesterday so I'll try to hit that this weekend at the grocery. The what to expect book said kiwi so I tried that.
I think I'm also all out of sorts from vacation too.

This. I took fiber gummies with DD after I got a hemorrhoid by 10 weeks.

I think my cramping was from dehydration. I forgot my water bottle so didn't have anything for my commute. I felt much better after getting a few bottles of water in me.

I have the opposite problem while pregnant unfortunately. But it sounds like you are doing some of the right things. You could add a probiotic daily to see if that helps. Skip the apples but go with other high fiber foods. And coffee is fine while pregnant. Just keep it to one cup a day or go with a half caf if you are worried about the additional caffeine. But coffee is great for moving things along.

Thank you! I'm already taking a probiotic and this child wants nothing to do with coffee. It doesn't taste right anymore.
I think I'm going to get some fiber gummies next time I go to the store!
Pooping advice from BTDT, I would second the coffee suggestion (it only works for me if it's black, though, adding milk seems to lessen the effect). If you have to take iron, try the liquid version instead of pills.
Also, diced prunes. Sounds weird and old-ladyish, but try it! They're more approachable than the big ones. You can get them in a resealable bag, and eat them by the handful. It's like eating fresh raisins. Super tasty.

This is probably TMI, but I had a pooping problem my first pregnancy. The best I felt all week would be after we went to my favorite diner and I got a cup of their coffee. It really made things better. I had a regular cup everyday, but it was this diner coffee that did the trick.

I wish that I could stomach coffee! It worked like a charm to get things moving along. I long for the day that this nausea subsides enough to make that possible.

Actually, I was thinking about my first pregnancy and at one point I did have to take an iron supplement 3 times a day. My doctor recommended that I took a stool softener with it daily (just once dose a day). So, if you need a little help to get things moving, a stool softener once and while shouldn't hurt.
Oh, and I had a c-section and stool softener was in my pile of daily meds while I was in the hospital.
notelsie I'm confused, what do you mean by chat? Like a private pw protected board/group or just randoms?
On the old bump days there used to be another site we used to do real time text chat. It was always fun to catch people while they were in there. I'm not sure what it was though. Lol
