I woke up to pee and of course tonight is one of those nights where I can't fall back asleep. I figured I'd start a MOTN randoms thread for anyone up at these hours with infants or the rest of us pg folks struggling to sleep through the night.

I don't think it helped that I checked my email when I got up to pee... But I got the most amazing email that I'm officially DONE with my MBA!!!! My professor said no worries about adding to my paper!!! I had a hunch that might happen but now I can really truly relax and celebrate!!! It's such an insane feeling.
On another note, I might start a knitting project with this extra time on my hands for the next few weeks. I legit haven't knit in forever so it would be something basic but I have tons of supplies! I'm thinking a little blanket we could use in the newborn photoshoot.

🙋🏻Me! Been up with contractions all night off and on. Everytime they get close and strong they spread back out again but I'm planning to stay home from work today (I have an hour + commute in terrible traffic and have no desire to be that person who has a baby on the highway) and made H work from home just in case. Fingers crossed it's baby day 🤞🏻

jmcbick oooo so exciting!!! Sorry you've been up all night but hopefully today you'll get to meet your LO!! And yeah giving birth on the highway or even just sitting in traffic with contractions sounds awful.

I'm up early to get ready before C wakes up. I have my 39 week appointment today. I'm so ready to get this baby out. We went out for Mexican last night and had sex to try to get things moving but no such luck yet.

rosesquared congrats! Good luck to all hoping it's baby day!
We are up at 5:00am because LO is super constipated and just wants to be held 😢. Poor little guy! He has his 2-week appt today so hopefully the doctor has some suggestions for helping him out. Any good home remedies? Also, DD had a major poop explosion a few mins ago all over herself, her bed, her 8 million stuffed animals (which I now have to clean), and her rug. Good times! I don't know how SAHMs do it every day...I'm exhausted already! I may just claim a long wait at the doctor office so I can stay out for a bit with LO and let MIL handle DD lol. Too mean?
I always think I'll just wait and make DH get up, but our big girls get in my face and I can never stay/fall back asleep... however he can sleep through anything!
mcp6286 what formula is he on? It may be the formula causing it.. you can try the q-tip trip to see if it'll get things moving along with a warm bath
He's on Enfamil Gentlease but I'm going to ask the doctor if he needs sensitive formula instead.
Possible. Similac has made both my boys super constipated. We're also discovering that DS2 needs the powdered gentlease over RTF because RTF is causing constipation as well
hpnegirl I was afraid the RTF would cause that but the constipation started a couple days after switching to powder, which is super weird! DD couldn't tolerate the RTF.
Ugh I'm on day 3 of calling in to work, and tomorrow is my last day before my RCS on Friday so I HAVE to go tomorrow in order to not lose this week as part of maternity leave. I refuse to lose 4 days with baby so I gotta suck it up but this hemmie/fissure is killing me. I've never been more miserable and without being able to take Advil, I get no pain relief. Anyone have any advice? I have my last prenatal appt today and am DREADING her looking at it

katie0919 I'm so sorry. I've been there. I had some horrible ones after DS. I feel like it just took some time for me to heal. I was doing everything...prep H, colace, Tucks, warm baths, sitz baths, avoiding sitting on my butt. I know how horrible it can feel. I hope it heals up quickly though. Hang in there.
