I went for my run this morning. Like I always do I temporarily decreased my insulin for my run and after my run. I was about three blocks from home when I got an alert that my blood sugar was low and rapidly falling. I had to run home as quickly as I could and down some skittles. Nothing like eating handfuls of skittles post run. That was the first time I have had my blood sugar drop so quickly working out. I'll have to start carrying something with me. I suppose some type of running fanny pack will be in my future....cool .

I'm sorry your still feeling foggy @katechristine18. Hope you're back to feeling like yourself soon.
I have another pseudo-interview today. Fingers crossed, but I had a nice talk with our director of sponsored research yesterday afternoon. That's really where I want to work though, and it seems the director is finally realizing how much she needs me. Lol. Either way I'm hoping something works out before the end of summer. DS1 only has one week left of school. We get out so early this year and they don't go back until after Labor Day due to construction of new school buildings. It will be the longest summer break he ever has. DS1 and DS2 start summer camp in two weeks. This year has flown by for us.
lovemyirishtwins I always wear a running fanny pack! Where do you keep your keys and phone?!
My neighborhood is huge and filled with trails. We have two parks with paths around them. I always do a couple loops around those. I never have keys with me. I like to hold my phone. Dh got me an Apple Watch and wireless ear buds for my music so I wouldn't need my phone anymore and I still like to hold it when I run. But I can track my blood sugars with my Watch so that is nice.

That's cool - How does the watch track your sugar? My dad had Type II diabetes and had to check his sugar with the finger prick thing.

W has strep and a fever. She's miserable and I really hope I don't catch it.
We picked up the free playhouse yesterday and I am so happy with how great of shape it is in!!! I'm a little nervous though about the texture with the design I want to create, but I'm sure I can work it out. W loves the house already.
I French braided DD's hair today successfully for the first time ever. It might be my biggest parenting accomplishment so far.
Also, I've decided it would be hilarious for the kids to be Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach for Halloween. We'll see if I can convince them in the next 5 months.

It's my last time working the 3-11 shift at work today! Well, supposed to be, I might see if someone will swap me the next two days since I prefer this shift to mornings. Either way, the end is near!
Today on the agenda is packing, more packing, and cleaning. I got all the clothes packed except for stuff for the next 5 days. We haven't even looked at the basement yet which will be the biggest challenge.

I have a continuous glucose monitor. It tracks my blood sugars. Every 5 minutes it lets me know my BS. There is an app to have it on my phone and I have it on my watch. DH also has it on his phone. So if my sugar drops my phone and watch start going off to alert me. DH's phone does as well. This is a nice feature for us since I am home with the kids in the evening.
I still have to do at least two finger pricks a day to calibrate. I also check if I go to low or high to double check.
We had our big May conference Mon and Tues and we worked our butts off. I walked into the office today to an email from our Prez saying we have the day off. Im already in the office, so Im gunna send out some emails to make it look like im a model employee and then I'm OUTTA HERE! Wooohoo!
We had our ultrasound yesterday afternoon and we received a glowing report from the tech and the dr at the MFM office. I really love her, she is a lovely person. Anyway, I feel so much relief that things look good so far. I also found out that I have an anterior placenta, which explains why I haven't been feeling much movement.
MIL picked DS up from daycare for us since we were at the appt. When we called her afterwards, she was having a blast with DS so DH and I went to dinner. ALONE, WITH NO TODDLER. It was nice.

cornpop311, its great. It's also my go to for Disney and theme parks and hikes etc when I don't want to carry a purse or be digging through a backpack for stuff.

When I used to run a lot I had a SPI belt and if I was wearing a loose shirt I would wear it underneath. If it was warm out and I was running long distance I'd use the little pocket on my fuel belt, and we all know how super cool fuel belts look.

The sitter we had been using landed a tv pilot so we're back to not having reliable childcare. I think my SO and I have literally had like 5 date nights since Bill was born which is just unacceptable to me. Last weekend we were supposed to go out to my favorite restaurant to celebrate my birthday and I had literally been looking forward to it for weeks (I actually internet stalked the chef at a restaurant that I used to love that closed and found out that he has opened a few restaurants nearby and that my favorite meal is still on the menu at one of them-- thank god for signature dishes!) and my SO's friend who was supposed to watch Bill cancelled because she was hungover. She literally would have arrived after Bill went to sleep and because he sleeps through the night she wouldn't have had to do anything but watch our tv and eat our snacks. Grrr! Anyway, that was sort of the last straw for me and I opened an account on care.com... I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by the process but excited that even though it's expensive AF we might get to have a monthly date night.

Well, I dropped T off with my MIL this morning since she's keeping him for a couple days, and on the way home my car decided to quit working. Radio started randomly turning on and off, cruise control quit, all the alarm sensors going off, and finally the gas pedal started acting funny and the car was lurching. Made it to a gas station safely, so now I'm just waiting for DH to get here. I'm hoping it's just a battery issue. But there went all my plans to run errands before work. At least it was after I dropped the toddler off...
I need two-three Kindle book recommendations for my long weekend! Haven't gotten to read in a while, so I'm looking to make up for some lost time.
I definitely want something light, so I'm leaning towards YA or "chick-lit". Main rule is it has to be good. The last time I took a long flight I read Candace Bushnell's Killing Monica and it was so bad and I was sad.

Oh wow. When my mom picked up my dad's ashes this morning their wedding song was playing in the funeral home, and it's not even a song you hear that often (The Rose by Bette Middler). I'm not religious or spiritual but that is...something.

That is definitely something! Also I love that song. I used to sing it to myself in middle school. (I WAS REALLY COOL, GUYS.)

I used to carry a Gu in a pocket-- get shorts with little zipper pockets or put it in your sports bra. I hate fanny packs!

I'm getting desperate for this house to sell. We dropped the price just now in hopes of getting more interest. Ugh I just want it gone so we can move on and be done with this place. I don't really want to carry the cost of a house once we leave.
