You are far enough along, they need to intervene and help move you along unless you're opposed to that. I'd be demanding answers as to why it's more "healthy" for you to be in excruciating pain for days on end versus them encouraging labor.
With DD I had to say, I'm not leaving to them. They sent me home once. They said once my contractions were every 3 minutes to come back. I showed up contractions were every 2 minutes lasting 45 to one minute long. I could barely talk in between contractions but wasn't dialating. As soon as I demanded to stay, I was legit fearful I wouldn't make it back, the OB reluctantly let me stay. She admitted me and 20 minutes later I had a baby. I think it's because I finally relaxed because I felt at ease, but who knows! The OB told me that advocating for myself is what saved me from having a road baby.
setsuna17 so sorry they won't admit you yet. FX they do soon!
icedtea and@irish14 sending labor vibes to both of you!!!
BabyStandish ugh to poison ivy but glad it's nothing worse!! FX you get relief soon!
I'm 38 weeks today on the dot. Not sure much is happening on my end and 2 ladies I did hypnobirthing with are both going on a week overdue and watching that is so hard! I really don't want to go late but I know babies come when they're ready lol.
I'm so happy cause last night we asked the people that we want to designate as guardians and they were totally happy and honored. I was worried since their kids will be out of the house in the next 4 years but they couldn't have been more awesome about it! So yeah working on our wills is "fun"... Not... Lol. But I'm glad we'll get it done early!

Omg your story Doll15. I'm so glad you advocated for yourself.
I plan on throwing epic shit fits if they don't admit me

H and I have to make appointments for wills and such. We both instantly agreed on my sister as the guardian, though I guess we should have a backup too?

icedtea we don't have a backup guardian. We could barely decide on the primary so we had no idea what we would do if they said no. We have backups for everything else (like health care proxy, power of attorney, etc.) but not guardian.

I have lots of people I'd trust, but most have their own kids and so I'm not sure they'd want to add another. H and I should discuss.

For us it's not just about who we'd trust but about parenting styles, values, location, etc. And yeah it's a huge thing to ask people especially if they're not family. I don't know if backup guardians are typically listed either. Sooooo much would have to go wrong for that to be needed! 😬

We're also having one-sided discussions about burping and gas....why does this feel like the hardest part of caring for a newborn?!?! Just let it out so you don't have to make those angry grunting noises anymore!!

We have the same conversation every bottle. Just burp, kid!
4 days since baby girl was born and I think I feel pretty good and then I try to lift a basket full of clothes. Nope don't feel good anymore. I keep thinking I can do stuff but I try and almost pull a muscle. Need to just relax and hold the baby. There will be plenty of time to do stuff later.

This is C all the way.
L just pierces his lips and refuses the bottle when he has gas.
Well, I had a baby today! Re.x Erne.st was born this morning at 8:02 am CST, weighing 8lbs 14oz! I'm still super groggy and numb from the csection and babe isn't latching well yet but we are working on it!
Just left my 40w appt, this annoying prodromal labor is at least doing something since I've gone from "almost 1" to 3 cm since last check. Had her strip me and fingers crossed it helps things pick up.
