@sarahwithanh That is beautiful!!
sophiegrace Glad you caught her! I had a similar experience once. Or twice. There were a few times we caught her climbing up the stairs unassisted. And once at the top with the gate open. And once I drove home and had forgotten to strap her in. Yup. I feel like a cat using up my 9 lives.

ClassyMrsA That looks so good! I'll be stalking you on Pinterest too.
sophiegrace I know it's not funny but the thought of it from M's perspective made me laugh. Babies have no idea what we go through and they're just having a good ol time!

So, dh got home. 2 hours later than he had said originally. Drunk. I wasn't too mad that he went galavanting about the city while I mommed all day alone, but now I'm pretty salty about it. When he gets home from the park with Lillian, I have half a mind to hand him a (fed and changed) baby, and leave to go shopping and get a Starbucks alone.

I think it would be a great recharge. Don't even look at it as payback. More so as an opportunity to end the week with some peace and quiet. (And both your hands) You bust your butt all week and are overdue for some me time!

You absolutely should!! Take your time and enjoy it.

I was solo this evening because MH is at the Red Sox game with clients. He asked me if I wanted to find a sitter (i.e., his mom) and go with him but I am not really comfortable sticking some poor unsuspecting soul with D right now when her sleep is so unpredictable.
I took the kids to a Mexican place and then to get ice cream. It was fun and they were really good but it still is just so exhausting going out with both of them. It's mostly getting them both in and out of the car, especially because DS is still slightly too young for me to feel even remotely comfortable letting go of his hand in a parking lot.
Anyway they're in bed now finally so I'm going to go down and finish my dinner and watch a show with some alcohol before turning in.

sophiegrace MH has had this happen on his watch once with each kid, in front of me. Like I was watching the other child and he puts his one down and no sooner do I say "you shouldn't do that beca..." and barrel roll off the bed and couch. Now both times he was right there and caught them and also our couch and bed are both extremely close to the ground but mom had a couple heart attacks.
ClassyMrsA I hope you're sipping on something sweet right now. Also lease mail me your food.
dashook You're brave girl, my balls are retreating a bit when it comes to taking them out on my own - they really can't stand the car seats and I can't carry both at once.
waitwhat Oh boy, I hope he's out for good tonight.

Holy crap kleigh, our girls really are the real twins. You seriously just described Lilah right now. And you are totally invited down with sophiegrace! Maybe when we do the gtg, I'll cook all of us something really yummy.
I did go out! I shopped, got myself some Starbucks, and got a package of Reese's. I did vent to my mom, but in the end I really just needed the break. I feel so much better now.
Also, if anyone else wants to follow me on Pinterest, pm me and I'll send you my username.

Well my plans to relax briefly and then go to bed have been shot. D is awake and screaming herself stupid. I don't want to pick her up but not a single other thing I have tried helps even a little bit. I really don't want a bedmate tonight but I feel like that's the only place we're headed 😞

Oh hi
10:30 and my ear is being screamed at. Nothing is making it stop. Had not fallen asleep for the first time yet.
I'm about to just walk away. I still haven't had dinner and I'm not sure if I had anything other than fruit snacks for lunch.
Oh girl, I'm sorry. Definitely step away and definitely feed yourself. She will be okay for a few minutes, I promise!
Right as I was about to get up she passed out. And I can't stay mad at her for a minute. She just shimmied in her sleep over to the side of her dock so that she could throw her leg up over the side. Sass. Queen.

kleigh...idk separation anxiety isn't 'supposed' to start for a few more weeks, but I don't believe it. M is definitely starting to show signs of it already.

I know L is a month behind, but I swear he has it! It's a matter of if he notices! If I'm upstairs doing laundry and he is content eating his hand, nothing! Go into the dining room where he can't see me and not content... biggest of screams! He follows me around the main floor in his walker a lot! He gets really upset if he can't follow or if he loses me.

C has shown signs of separation anxiety a couple times now.
Once a couple weeks ago, I put him in his jumper and walked into the laundry room and he started crying instantly. And just a couple days ago my mom said she left him in his activity center for a few minutes and when she came back he had tears and a sad face. Is it supposed to happen with grandparents too?
