Such a good night. Perfect celebration! My dad is the kid whisperer. At one point he had M and W both in his lap, so sweet. I'm feeling very happy and loved.
It's been a good day here. We had fun at the picnic and the kids ran around and exhausted themselves on the playground. There was a raffle for a free massage and I actually won it. I think that may be the first thing I've ever won in any kind of drawing.
Happy Mother's Day!! Glad to know you all! I'm naturally awake when I could sleep... we will go get N and head to brunch at some point. Hopefully a lazy and low key day ahead.
I was woken up this AM to an alarm at 625 reminding me to check in for my flights. So, of course I couldn't fall back asleep. H took dd to get egg sandwiches then, so I woke up to no one home and ds still sleeping.
Now to focus on packing. I plan to be asleep before 10 since we have to get up at 2:45 tomorrow morning to catch our flight.
Dd and I also have a mani/pedi scheduled at 1. Much excite.
This sounds like fun. I can't wait until DD is a bit older to handle this.
Also, I liked the above for packing and vacation, not for the early wake up!
I don't mind the early wakeup because that just means I'll be on the beach with a drink nice and early.
I took dd back in September before we went to Mexico and she chickened out and wouldn't let them paint them. She's just shy of 4 now, and she seems super psyched, so I'm hoping she lets them. She also saw her classmates nails with flowers on them from the nail salon and she loved them, so that hopefully helped a bit.

Went for a quick 4 mile run (negative splits every mile— woot!) and came back to MH rocking P to sleep with a sippy to Tiny Dancer. So sweet.
Time to shower and get ready for my family to come over! We're going the fried chicken route (veggie for me). H is going to pick it up plus some yummy desserts from a nearby bakery.
Happy Mother's Day to each and every one of you! You guys keep me sane, entertained and on the ball.
@poppykisses, whoa lady! You look awesome! Oh and the baby is pretty cute too.
th3stryck3r, we're also having fried chicken tonight, but at my parents' house! DH is out right now getting lunch and I requested a portabella panini, so hopefully that is what makes it back to me.
We are having a good day, I was off Friday so a 3-day weekend is always better. I was hoping to go to my art class but she's not having one today. We spent some time this morning at the park and I think this afternoon I will work on getting some rooms back to normal upstairs. We had the whole upstairs done in hardwood floors and it looks wonderful and I'm ready to go back to having things in their normal spot.
Ethan has been saying "ba-loo" (=love you) for a few weeks but has recently started adding "mama" or "daddy" on the end...it is the cutest thing.
I took M for a walk in the wagon earlier so we could get a little one on one time. Put him down for an early nap, hoping he'll actually get some sleep. I'm a little sad about leaving today and nor seeing him tomorrow, but it's for such a good reason. I hope everyone is enjoying the day!
