I ate some chocolate yesterday to see if DD still hated it. She let me know her feelings by spitting up all over me 3 different times. I'm guessing she still doesn't like it.
We have a tball game today. I'm hoping DS participates since he didn't Tuesday. Tonight is date night! My mom is watching the kids and keeping DS all night.
I went to bed with L at around 11, and H came to bed at 1:30am and was drunk? He ended up skyping with 2 friends, one who is in China and one who is across the country and apparently they had a little internet party. I'm trying not to be annoyed because he didn't do anything wrong, I think I'm just a little envious of him being able to casually drink and sleep in without much thought. I'm being considerate and letting him sleep in and then he's going to help me grocery shop while my mom watches L.
Has anyone seen those binxy baby shopping cart hammocks for infants? I really want one but they are $50. Seems like it would make shopping with infant easier than the moby/car seat options.
We have an ergo @justinslovo but haven't used it yet! I need to get the hang of it. We don't have the infant insert but apparently you can just roll up a receiving blanket?
AFM j is regressing in sleep. We were doing great with a schedule, he was having one night wake up and a couple nights ago he had a rough night and has been off since and won't sleep more than 2-3 hours at night. I'm exhausted

Blanket trick works. I use it for the tula all the time.

I got the infant insert and returned it. It was an awkward design. I think ds has long legs.

mosdub I've seen those and they look super cool! I'm thinking I saw that they're 15% off for Mothers Day. I might consider getting one for myself as a mother's day gift lol

And the rolled up blanket is cooler. Since we have spring/summer babies and those infant inserts are hot.
It says for 12-36 pounds/4 months old, fyi, but Max had great positioning. It's slightly smaller than an Ergo, which I liked, and the vented panel is so nice.
We just got home. H is working this morning, so C and I popped over. (Some of his co-workers wanted to see the baby.) Hoping after I finish feeding him that he'll take a good nap, because I'd like to take one myself!
My parents are pissing me off and I know I am the irrational one, not them. They are selling their house (less than 10 min from me) and moving 2.5 hours away. I am really upset about it, as it leaves us with no family here. They think that they are going to come visit all the time, but are not satisfied with our guest accomodations, so I know they will never come. They think I am going to visit them all the time...not happening with two kids and having to deal with explaining to MIL why we visited them instead of her (2.5 hrs away in the opposite direction). They listed their house last weekend and just dropped the price by $15k after a week on the market...I am super ragey about the whole thing and know I should just grow up and let them live their lives.
H is at a beer festival all day, so I was feeling a little frustrated this AM. I was totally rude when his friends came to pick him up. His friend looked genuinely confused as I'm been labeled the "laid back" wife. So I went to Whole Foods to brunch with baby, and ran into my sister and brother in law. My brother in law got us mother days mimosas, so I chilled out!
I went to buy the baby more clothes. I feel like her closet is like mine- a lot of clothes, no outfits.
We're headed now to one of the moms in my moms groups house. The babies are going to do tummy time, while we make sensory boards. And then the babes are going to create some art with paint.
After, J and I traverse like an hour to a second birthday party. Last night we went to a cook-out, and she was super fussy. I'm bringing her portable crib to this mom get together so she can nap. Before the cool-out, I went with H to some brewery he represents and it was SO loud. I think she was overstimulated.
glb30 my son's wardrobe is the same, lots of clothes, not many outfits. I can't justify to myself buying more until I get rid of some of the clothes but I can't get rid of stuff that fits! We have a lot less clothes in 9+ months so I just tell myself I'll buy outfits then

MIL has been offering for a while to use her baby expertise to get DD to take a bottle. DH and I went to the store and then out to lunch at her urging - we were gone 2.5 hours.
We came back and MIL is raving about how DD took the bottle and then went down for a nap. Which sounded awesome, but then she shows me the bottle - less than an ounce drunk, if that. And then FIL says, "She ate and then cried a little while until she fell asleep." Which is exactly what she does with us - and we've interpreted that as her preferring to cry herself to sleep than eat from a bottle when hungry.
Not sure how they believed that was a success. I am pretty bummed because 1) I really hoped this would work, and 2) DD woke up after we were back and about 10 minutes into her nap and had clearly been crying really hard beforehand.
I'm pretty much giving up on the bottle at this point.

That is too bad about the bottle and her crying and hungry Jackson doesn't take bottles very easily either but I'm going back to school in July so we are still working on it. For some reason every once in awhile he will take one fine and other times he screams. Hopefully you don't have to rely on a bottle any time soon!
