I'm trying to follow a strict schedule with C this morning because we have 6 month pictures at 11 and I want him to be happy, fed and not sleepy. We'll see how it goes.
Tonight we have another wedding so C is going to my mom's for the night. We were thinking of picking him up and bringing him home but his sleep has been such a mess lately so I don't want to disturb him. Plus we're heading back to that area for brunch in the morning anyway.

How miserable tgrimes1980. I wonder what the next step is. Miralax? Do you have a windi or a rectal thermometer? Idk if either would help if it's that impacted though.
Morning! I got to sleep until 7, which almost never happens! Thank you You Tube for entertaining my child while I sleep! We're going on a hike later this morning. I'm hoping to take the rest of L's 6mo pictures and maybe get a few of the kids together but E is a crazy man and always turns out as a big blur whenever I try to get a 'nice' picture of him. Supposed to be beautiful out today, so we plan to take advantage of it!

Can't wait to see his pictures goldenlove3! I still haven't scheduled M's because the photographer wants her to be independently sitting and she's still whipping herself back and to the side occasionally when she gets excited. Brunch sounds delicious right now.

I'm so excited. I have some cute ideas in my head and his outfit is so cute. I was worried it would be too cold out but looks like it'll be warm enough.

M and J are twins. We have the same situation going on here. He sits for a bit but then grabs a toy and gets so excited that he whips his head and back to the ground. I'm always sitting behind him so I catch him but man he has some serious force. When I did newborn pictures with B, the photographer told me he liked to do pictures according to stage rather than age. So when he can sit up, when they start crawling, walking etc. so not so much as 6 months, 9 months etc. Which makes me feel good because poor J has zero professional pictures done. #secondchildsyndrome. But once he really starts sitting up I plan to take some.
C will tip over if he reaches back but he's pretty lazy and doesn't move much. Just like when he's laying down lol. Hopefully it's not too hard getting some pictures.
He is not following my nap schedule so of course that means he's going to be ready for a nap when it's time for pictures.
On our way home from B's last soccer game. There was a little boy on the other team who literally scored 15 times. DH and I were joking-but-not-really that he should be tested for PEDs, ha. It just seemed abnormal for a 3 y.o., but maybe that's what David Beckham was like at that age?
We took both kids out to The Players Championship yesterday. It was hot but they did really well. We're just planning on watching more golf today and I think DH and B have some Mother's Day-related errands to do. I need to wrap the gifts for my mom from us and my dad.
tgrimes1980 sorry poor H is backed up. I used to do the thermometer trick on Bradley with success. Haven't had to do it with C yet. Her #2 schedule has been all over the map lately...she'll go several days with nothing, have a blowout, then be 'regular' for a couple days, then go 4x in a span of hours. Argh. Doesn't she know I plan outfits and outings around her BM status?! 😂
Team also waiting til C can sit up well for a photography session. We had some done with B when he was 7 months and they were amazing. It was such a good age for photos.
We're up with my godparents and having a good time! Just relaxing at there cottage for the day!
LizInFL, I've had that happen in swimming! Kids 3-4 years old and swimming 50's when most their age can't do a length. I found it was more common when older siblings played the same sport.

tgrimes1980 maybe change formula's? I feel like my ped said they should go daily once on formula but bm could be longer(which is not the case for N). Her other formula did back her up but Gerber gentle seems to agree with her more. Poor little man:(
tgrimes1980, sorry poor H is dealing with that waitwhat, men's lack of a sense of urgency is a frequent thorn in my side. How is the prep for tomorrow going? cheshie6, beautiful view!!
H and I went to Verizon to get new phones this morning. His is all set but for some reason mine was going to take an hour (??) so now I am home with a sleeping D and no phone, using H's tablet to check in. Not my fave haha!
Last night was pretty bad but maybe good from a sleep training perspective. First wakeup was at 9:30 and it took almost 40 minutes to get her back to sleep, but I never picked her up. Next wakeup was at midnight but she was crying faintly and intermittently so I didn't go in at all and she fell back asleep on her own after like 8 minutes.
When she woke at 3:30 I did pick her up and nurse her. About 60 seconds after I put her down she cried like 2.5 cries then fell back asleep until 8:45. I'm tired from the multiple wakeup but hopeful that maybe she is beginning to learn to fall back to sleep on her own.
We're done with pictures and had lots of ups and downs with C's mood but we got some great shots overall. Poor kid is exhausted though!! He's not used to being outside so long. I can't wait to see them!
Maybe the cleaning fairy he thinks exists will magically turn into the grocery shopping fairy and grab all our groceries. And then maybe she will transform into the cooking fairy and cook tomorrow. Idk what world he's living in today.
I want these fairies. I want to live in that world.
I sound like a Disney movie, or just a weirdo. I'll stop.
waitwhat you have my sympathies. The weekend that we were about to close on the house, DH was obsessed with the yard to the detriment of every other task we needed to do, while I was inside with the 2 kids trying to deep clean a 2400 sf house. He was so single-minded about it, and it was basically the last thing on my priority list. We may have had a fight about it. 😡 So frustrating.
@cheshie06 beautiful view! Are you in Maine or am I making that up? Yes, I think 'the ringer' does have older siblings, and DH and I have noticed the same thing about other good players. He just seemed extremely good, lol. If he plays on a World Cup team someday, guess we can say, 'we knew him when...' 😂
Just catching up! I read through everything and while I found tgrimes1980 poop saga very sad for H and sympathized with waitwhat's annoying H, I was most disturbed by danib's snow forecast!!?! Wtf is snow doing on Mothers Day?!

We might be booking a trip to Disney for M's first birthday. Will she remember it? No. Will there be the possibility of many tantrums? Yes. But I'm dying to go. Jumping out of my skin excited at the idea of it. This is partly fueled by H's willingness and his offer to actually take time off work. !!!!!!!!!
sophiegrace Go, girl! Plan that trip before your H changes his mind! She won't remember it but you will and I'm sure M will just love the experience. C is happiest in her stroller just taking anything and everything in
danib yikes! Hope the fever comes down soon. Poor guy. Glad your H is home to help out.
waitwhat lol at that pic and wow at the tooth--I totally see it! Such a big boy, J!
My baby is asleep. For now.
She and I took a beautiful 2.5 hour nap together this afternoon. I know cosleeping is frowned upon but I really love it.
H and I took the kids out to the local (walkable) Chinese restaurant for dinner. I forgot to bring D's puréed broccoli that I made yesterday so she got to have broccoli and carrots from a pouch instead (that I ran out from the restaurant to buy at the nearby grocery store lol). The girl loves to eat!
Amazing that she only had her first food one week ago. She is crushing it! Opening her mouth wide, swallowing almost everything, and you can tell she really looks forward to it. So far we've just been doing a small amount before bedtime but maybe I'll add in a secomd meal soon.
