It's pouring. I need to make a decision on shoes for this wedding. I wanted to avoid heels but my flats will get soaked. Perhaps I should wear my plaid rain boots? It's a rainbow fairy garden wedding (minus the garden now because rain) with a mad tea party reception. I'm betting plaid boots would go unnoticed.

lakegirl, wear the boots. With that theme, you're right, boots will fit right in. Maybe bring flats as back up?
It's rainy here as well. As long as it's not pouring J and I are going to a touch a truck event hosted by Krispy Kreme. I also promised J that I'd get my face painted. I want a unicorn.

lakegirl I also think the rain boots will be fine. Also that sounds like a fun wedding.
heybulldog56 that sounds like a nice time I hope you get the unicorn 😁
Sorry I have been MIA life has been very busy so I have just been a dirty lurker. No plans yet for today. Someone made a huge mistake at my H's job so now the whole team has to work this weekend last minute. My H out his foot down and said he would work today but there was no way he would be coming tomorrow.
I came home from work early last night after how stressful the last Friday night worknight was on me, mom and Katie. I was able to go in, make sure everything was going smooth, and get out by 830, which was about the time she and my mom started having a battle of the wills. I got her to sleep by about 930, managed to do our laundry, her laundry, and do some meal prep before H got home around 1230. He said everything went fine after I left, so I think we will do that on all Friday nights. Of course I didn't get to bed til after 1, and C woke up at 5, 6 and finally for real at 8am, but it's my fault for not going to bed earlier, I just love being able to be productive and have some real alone time.
H just ran off to the jewelers today because I not-so-subtly told him it'd be really nice to have a pandora bracelet for Mother's Day since I can add the mother daughter charm to it. I might have encouraged him with sex during nap time before he left 😂
Only other plans on this rainy day are to go get my stepmom some flowers to drop off at her house, maybe use the gift cert my mom got me for some new makeup. I need a good sprucing.

No rain here. Mostly clear skies and it's supposed to get up towards 90* out. But windy, always windy. I'm currently curled up on the couch with W and DS1 is helping wash cars in the driveway with my nephew.

Guys Q is SO close to rolling over from back to tummy. He can roll his bottom half completely but then can't figure out his arms to finish. It is cracking me up and I really hope that he does it tommorow it would make my day 😍
MIL took DD to go see Boss Baby. SO cute to see them on a date together.
B fell asleep on me and I'm enjoying rare nap snuggles.
DH also got me a beautiful bouquet of flowers today in advance of Mother's Day. I think he knows that tomorrow will be spent with both our parents', so he wanted to do something just for me today.
I broke out DDs jumperoo a few days ago and B LOVES it. He'll stay in it for 20+ minutes without any fuss... sometimes more if I put DDs vetch walker infront of him and press the buttons every once in a while.
I got Mother's Day gifts wrapped and dinner made tonight thanks to it. I may even bring it with me to my parents place tomorrow and see if I can actually sit and eat brunch with everyone else without a baby in my lap.
Obviously it was a super untraditional and nerd wedding but it was a blast. It was in a castle. The bride walked in to the Star Wars Throne Room Theme. They walked out to the happy hobbit/shire music. First dance was Tale as Old as Time. The guestbook was the Tardis. I had many giant mimosas. I rocked the boots and hat if I do say so myself. Or maybe the mimosas say that.
Yes carrots, it was me! It is stressful but the kids are a good icebreaker. It was very brave to hit up a restaurant with them and the kids, that's extra pressure!
Ds woke up before 6. Mh tried to bring him into our room, where he will just climb all over me. Stop. Do not pass go. Let me sleep in today. I kicked both of them out and slept till 7. Sometimes I wonder why they don't think of those things? Why yes I'll bring a grumpy toddler into bed on Mother's Day.

This happened to me this morning. Ellabee is not amused.
To start Mother's Day off right, C had her first MOTN wakeup in ages. Conveniently at 130am, just as I was getting into a nice deep sleep.
Oh well, I hope everyone has a great Mother's Day. We're going to brunch with our bff couple and my stepmom, then headed to MILs for dinner, which hopefully FIL ordered so she doesn't have to cook.

My H gets an A for effort but a D for follow through. He was trying to let me sleep in, but he just kept on waking me up by coming in and out of he bedroom. Then when I was like its fine I will get up he shushed me and waved his hand over my face like he does Q when trying to get him to sleep. I laid there for five minutes and was just like I give up let me see my baby, and now no ones Is home?! I am very confused and awake and I want my baby. ::grumpy face::

Happy Mother's Day! B only had one MOTN wake up and H handled it. He also got up with both kids so that I could sleep in. I woke up around 8:30 and we went to our local little hole-in-the-wall yet delicious breakfast joint. I am now enjoying my second gift: being home alone! H just took off to his parents' house with the boys. Ironic to spend Mother's Day without one's children? Maybe, but all I wanted was a day to do nothing! And I got it 😊
