Happy weekend all! It's 1pm and no one has started this thread, so I hope that means we're all out enjoying it.
C had soccer this morning. It went well until the way home when he cried and threw a fit that he didn't score and "that means I played bad, everyone else played 100 and I played zero." Oh the joys of a very competitive 4.5 year old. Now H and C are outside doing yard work and playing and I'm trying to get R to nap. I don't meant to wish my life away, by I can't wait for next summer. I love summer and being outside and it's just not all that easy with a baby. Next summer he will be walking and will be able to be outside and play much easier.
Also, R is 3 months old today! And he slept from 9-5:45!!! And then back down until 8. I think that counts as sttn, right? we have had 3 good nights in a row which each one getting better than the one before. I had to make C cry it out in the middle of the night at 7 months old, so this 3 month old sleeping so well is crazy to me. Knock on wood it's not a fluke!
Quiet day here. Relaxing at home, H is working. In other news, my swaddle stayed wrapped from arms down, and resulted in only 1 wake up My guy was 3 months yesterday, it seems to have gone so fast
monicageller I understand what you mean about next summer being different. It makes sense. Hope the good sleep continues!!
@monicagellar I feel like I "wish time away" much more than I did with DS. I know how things do get easier when they're a bit more independent, and sometimes I just want that.
DH left at noon with the kids and I'm alone until tomorrow at 2. I'm at the spa right now waiting for my treatment session and there are two ladies chatting in the relaxation room. Ugh. SHUT YOUR MOUTHS.

shellbell very interesting. I love taking the baby out for an airing
@preppy enjoy the spa!
It's a quiet day here too. MH watched S while I ran an errand and went to the gym. I got my nails done too. Now I'm feeling relaxed and waiting for S to doze off so I can shower and make cookies.
So FIL almost made me cry. We went out to eat and I was sitting next to a doorway. LO started crying so I picked her up and I was rocking her in my arms. I had on a black shirt so I guess FIL couldn't see that the baby's head was inside my arms so he thought her head was about to bang on the doorway. I laughed it off and explained that my arm was there. Then he said "Gee, your nanny can't start soon enough! She'll be safer!" I nearly burst into tears. Who says shit like that?
I was supposed to catch up on work today, but between DH's migraine, our new front yard tree needing to get planted, some other errands, etc. I only got 2 hours in today. So now I'm supposed to be working, and I'm tired and screwing around on here instead. I'm so diligent.
E's fever finally broke, but her being sick during my first week of work when I was supposed to be getting ramped up SERIOUSLY put me in a tailspin.
As a completely gross and scary aside, I took an EPIC shit earlier. It clogged me toilet four times on the way down. Is it me, or has anyone else been having scary large poops since giving birth? I think it might be that I so rarely find time to use the bathroom that when I actually do find myself pooping there's a lot backed up...

You'd think airing the baby would be common sense but I'm astonished at the number of people here that don't take their babies out of the house until they're 3/4 months old. Babies need fresh air and sunlight people!!
staz oh hell no. That was astonishingly uncalled for.
I'm gonna agree with shellbell here loves2shop4shoes, do not skip going to the bathroom. I ended up with bladder problems after DD because I didn't pee often enough when she was a baby. Don't be me. This baby sometimes cries while I use the bathroom. Oh well.

As for me I had an OK day but DH is eating all. of. the. crackers. Let's hope he gets it together before tomorrow because, you know, mother's day.
At least I got my manicure and the lady was awesome, I picked a beautiful color and my nails look fantastic (keep in mind I'm trying to stop biting them so really anything looks better than what it was before)

I don't intentionally skip going to the bathroom. I'm just so busy running around that, honestly, it sometimes just doesn't occur to me that I have to go.
Like, sometimes, I'll get towards the end of the day and realize I haven't gone all day. And then I immediately go to the bathroom.

Happy Mothers Day ladies!
I'm catching up here at work. We had Ks birthday party today. It was successful, I am just completely exhausted. I can't wait for 8 am and to be in my bed. Even though it's only for a few hours. I also have to work Sunday night. Not enough sleep happening for me these days.

E was so excited to wish me a Happy Mother's Day that she woke up at 1:30am. And then 5am, and then 7:30am.
😐
Her fever is gone but her popping is off. It's lighter than normal and looks slightly mucusy/shiny. It could be a result of whatever viral thing is going on with her. It could be an issue with the formula, but I doubt it since we've been using it for a while, or maybe she's teething?
Her hands are ALWAYS in her mouth and she's a little drool factory, but I feel like 3 months is a little young for teeth...
I brought out the big guns this morning and gave her the last of my frozen colostrum.
I want her to feel better...and get back to sleeping.
loves2shop4shoes hands in mouth doesn't necessarily mean teeth. Nor does drool. They start producing saliva and don't know to swallow it yet. Time to get some good bibs!
loves2shop4shoes, L is doing the same with the hands and drool. It's slightly nasty but we always have a bib on her anyway from the spit up so I just try to keep her dry.

DS wears a cute little bandana bib daily for the drool. He also likes to suck his hands but his fingers are so long he's constantly gagging himself. My girls were just the same and no teeth started until about 6 months. It's just them figuring out their tongues and fingers and making a mess. He also loves to blow bubbles now. We probably use 3 bibs a day not counting barf bibs.
His fever is gone but now he's a snot factory. Totally got sick from the hospital, we're never really around people otherwise. At least we graduate this week to clinic visits. Just 2 more weeks and were done with it all.
My mom and sister leave Tuesday and I'm sad they're leaving. 3 on 3 has been so much easier than 1 on 3. I would feel so rested if DS would sleep longer at night.
Sorry I've been MIA lately! Work was so busy last week and this weekend was just as crazy. Plus my phones been dead most of the weekend. Someone ran into the power pole in front of our neighbors house and snapped it in half so we just got power back on this evening. Felt so good to finally take a shower ugh.
