Any ideas on a good place to look for a dress for a wedding? I've tried my usual haunts (the Loft, Ann Taylor, Banana, etc.) and I hate everything. I'm an old and also don't understand this missing shoulder thing going on right now.

How fancy of a wedding? New York & Company has some dresses
I forgot about that place, I'll check it out.
Dress shopping has me feeling like a granny. All these cut-outs and super short hemlines have me clutching my pearls.
I like anthropologie or Bloomingdales for dresses, JoeLies .
I'll check Bloomingdales. I actually found a dress a month or two ago at anthropologie that I loved and it was reasonably prices (maybe even $100) but they didn't have it in my size. Now I wish I'd just bought it and had it taken in. The searching stinks!
JoeLies Not sure if JCrew is one of your usual haunts but they have stepped up their game lately and have had some cute spring/summer things. Also, I'm a big Nordstrom fan...free shipping and returns! The Eliza J brand is reasonable and almost always has cute stuff.
JoeLies - like PP said, I sometimes have better luck at the department stores for a dress so you can look at multiple brands at 1 time. Bloomies, Nordstrom & Lord and Taylor.

I actually just found 2 Eliza J dresses I like, but they're pretty sparkly and that might be a bit much for this wedding. J Crew may be more fitting this time around.
I forgot to tell you guys, @peachsmama was in my dream last night!
A lot of it is fuzzy, but for some reason I picked my boys up from DC and was going to visit her. She ran a DC and when I got there peach came running up to me (only he didn't look like the pics I've seen of him). In the dream I apparently recognized him b/c he was super tall. Then there were some other kids running around and playing and I decided to change S diaper. Peach got up to have his changed too and I felt relived b/c he was wearing a diaper too. Then S turned into B and I was about to change his diaper, only he was wearing a dress (it was grey) and I couldn't figure out why DC had put him in that. Then I started trying to explain why he was wearing a dress and a little girl came up to talk to me (who I think was Jackson, but not...)
wedding Fuck the haters and judgers, you did what you needed to do for your health. End of story. They can eye roll all they want, stand proud in your decision. I'm so happy you're feeling better.
Side note, I always hate when people have such judgement, it's almost like they dont trust that you're a smart person, have done all your research and made the best decision. I get some eye rolls with Jenny Craig and I just literally laugh out loud, it's like they forget who they're talking to, I research the hell out of everything I do and they eye roll? Ooohkay.
Vino always says it best. Obviously every situation is different, but a coworker of mine had the same surgery recently and I've only heard position comments. Everyone is so proud of her for being brave enough to take that step and she looks AMAZING!

JoeLies, I vote for the navy one. I just bought a dress, also for a wedding, last week. I literally looked all over the interwebs and just couldn't find anything. I'm a little embarrassed to say, but I ended up w one from the Macy's juniors section!

@tgrimes1080, I'm surprised daycare doesn't have formula on hand for those occasions. We sent bottles once that they said were dirty (gross, but I don't thinl the nipple got taken out to clean and gunk was trapped underneath), they dumped the formula and gave her the stuff they had.

So the daycare H used to go to had to keep his type of formula there, just in case. The church is a little loose with the rules. They prop up bottles when they need to, I'm not filling out an infant feeding form every month, etc.
Is it bad that I don't care? I mean, I know he's better cared for at the church than he would be anywhere else. I also have eyes there that text me periodically throughout the day. LOL.
But if the other daycare did this, I'd be upset. Again, I'm a hypocrite.
Not bad at all. I don't even know what kind of formula daycare gave L in that situation, but I know it wasn't our typical brand. I'm not even sure they knew what our typical brand was.

I thought that the admin was just going to move 2013/2012 to the same general area for navigation purposes, like to just simplify it to one heading. But they would still keep the separated bmbs. I could be wrong....

It is terrible nam2013, some US companies are so stingy w paid leave. I think that not allowing an employee any paid leave until after a full year waiting period is not normal though.
MH works for a national shipping company and just started as a driver in oct. He isn't allowed to take vacation his first year. I believe he has sick time if needed, but like when he took off time for O's funeral he didn't get paid. But it gets paid out at the end of the year.
When I worked full time I technically didn't have vacation or holiday pay, we just had a pot of PTO that was used for everything.

I hate how stingy the us is with pto. When I worked in a school years ago I had like 3 sick days and that was it. We were expected to utilize school vacations time for everything, but I you can't help when people get sick or their is an emergency. This was a charter school and my boss was the wolds biggest dick, so I don't know if this is normal. He basically told me I was risking my job when I asked for a day off to attend a funeral.
We are very lucky with dh's job. He gets 26 days a year, but can buy an additional week if needed. They are also very accommodating about flexing his schedule so he can go in early and leave early, and working from home occasionally. It's a big help when we have a lot of dr appointments going on for Lucas's.
