How do you get a toddler to eat? Em eats 3-4 bites at most meals (and that's usually a victory). I swear she subsists off of animal crackers, raisins, string cheese and milk.
This might be Unpopular, but with no weight gain issues I would cut snacking and only offer meals. One dedicated snack time if needed, mid-afternoon, with a small snack (not grazing.) Meals would be real food, not snack foods, but with one sure thing included at each meal.
This amounts to eating about every 4 hours, give or take.
I'd also limit milk or cut it entirely. No limit on water.
And my boss tried to shame me about taking vacation when my mom gets here. In a meeting with other people. I took ONE day off when my dad died and ZERO when my grandma died. My mom is my only family member left. And I'm getting shit for taking a vacation to spend some time with her? GTFO.

Your boss is a fucking dick. Can you go talk to HR?
cornpop311 Nick is in a super picky stage with food right now, it's so frustrating. He used to eat all the things before and now he just refuses pretty much everything I give him at meal times. I found ashiscute's post to be comforting. I plan to keep offering and try to limit snacks as best I can to see if that helps.

Re toddler food- I make snacks leftovers of what they didn't eat, so they usually have nutritional value lawandorder your parents and in laws get you Mother's Day presents?!?
Busy day here- but headed to happy hour with Dh soon.
O was up at 430 so I'm dragging. Also he eats a lot of ice- is this worrisome?

UVA new girl walked out and quit today. No one is really upset by this but I feel bad for her. Her attitude really sucked but I hate that she felt she had to just up and leave.
And now I'm dreading getting back all of the responsibilities that I had pushed to her. Wah!!!

So unmotivated to pack the house today. Ten days until moving day. So far I have a pattern of pack one box, watch one episode of Fixer Upper, repeat. Not very productive.
My ultrasound was canceled bc apparently I'm too early for an a/s (18 wks and they only do at 20+) they told me this after I had to take off work early and after I had been waiting 30 mins. I'm so angry and tired and frustrated at their dumb ass' scheduling And the rude tech who kept saying "I just take the pictures." bitch, it's been on the calendar for 5 weeks!! Ugh. Thank god I already know the sex or I would have LOST it on them for making me wait 3 more weeks (bc of course in 2 my husbands working nights). Of course!
Anyway, pizza and ice cream for dinner tonight to calm me down and because I mf can!
As for my boss and HR I'm kind of hoping that by the time my vacation is over H might hear about that job he's been interviewing for and we will know if we are moving and if so, I can gleefully tell my boss that I quit.
Two men next to me at Panera talking about how ridiculous parking spaces for pregnant women are. Hold my earrings.
IMO they need to be for pregnant women or those with young kids (that need to be carried). Just for pregnant women is kind of an eye roll. Obviously if you have some kind of physical limitations or something you could get a temporary handicapped tag from your MD. Normal healthy pregnant women should be walking.

I feel like I haven't posted in forever. Things have been crazy here. M has been clingy and snotty. Just stuck my finger in her mouth and there's a molar poking through. I'm hoping she pops them all out before July. We are heading to FL to visit the ILs in July for two weeks!
Update: MH came through with a belated Mother's Day gift today - a framed pic of the moment they put R on my chest for the first time when he was born. It's very sweet and thoughtful.
I wish he would have done something to make me feel special yesterday. I don't even care about a gift, I just wanted to feel special and like someone appreciates me. It's hard to explain this to him, though. He doesn't *get* it.
Sounds like a molar party for several, I'm pretty sure we're in that stage too. DS2 has been a drooling mess, it's kinda gross actually. He shook his head and drool went everywhere.
We're watching DWTS and Simone Biles was asked what her "sassy" nick name would be. I asked my H what our sassy names would be. He said "Mary Anne and Richard." Hmmm.
Both boys are sleeping in their cribs! Please Lord let the little one sleep well tonight. He needs good nights rest.

wells2010 I agree that most pregnant women should be able to walk, BUT in a dream world there would be extra wide spots for pregnants. I can't tell you how many times I couldn't get in my car because some a-hole had parked too close and I legit could not fit. Maybe this was a city problem?
While I'm thinking of it, there also should be some kind of car conveyor belt at red lights for parents with sleeping infants in the car, so you don't have to stop driving and wake the baby.
I sat down after I put the kids to bed and haven't moved since. Every ounce of energy I had is gone. Trying to find the motivation to get up and get everything done so I can just go to bed.
We found a house we both really like in Roanoke! DH went to see it with the realtor tonight and will look at some more tomorrow. The kids and I will probably go visit Memorial Day weekend. This is finally starting to feel real now!!

My friend and I did a little photo shoot for our business instagram today, and I need to go on a diet immediately. Instead, I'm eating a pizza and plan on eating the rest of my Mother's Day chocolate.
Does anyone know about how color blindness is transferred? kristhegirl perhaps? I'm beginning to think that Bill might be colorblind. I have a bunch of color blindness on my side (my dad, my grandfather on my mother's side and my SO seems to have some color issues even though he denies being colorblind-- he literally can't tell the difference between grey and hot pink... it's so weird) and I've noticed that Bill knows most of his colors, but doesn't seem to know the difference between red and green. I can't tell if it's because he's just a toddler or what.
All worked out in the end, and we only had to wait a weekend! We are under contract with the house we put an offer in last week! Hooray! So, now we add inspection and getting checks out to their correct places to this crazy week of moving, baseball play-offs, swim team, science fair projects, and a triathlon. No big deal, right?!

mrsbeachcat I wish I knew! My husband is color deficient and so are a few of his relatives. I know it's far more common in men than women but I don't know how it's passed on.
My husband has a hard time with gray/pink, too. 🤔

mrsbeachcat my brother is color blind. As others said it is passed on the X chromosome. Therefore there are not as many females that are color blind as males. There are different variants of color blindness as well. I would have to check but I think my brother cannot see the difference between greens and another color.

mrsbeachcat, it is passed maternally. My Maternal Grandfather is colorblind. My brother is colorblind. DS1 is colorblind. Ds2 is not. Don't know about O yet.
There are also varying degrees of it. My grandpa couldn't play Uno. My brother can name most colors but has trouble matching ties and shirts especially in the blue/purple range. I haven't noticed DS1 not being able to recognize anything yet. He was marked at his kindergarten screening.
