So I had another monitoring US today (5 days after the last one). All of my follies either stayed the same size or got smaller. One got a tiny bit bigger, but is still nowhere close to big enough to trigger. My lining was only 5.9mm.
The cyst in my uterus got a big bigger though. RE wants me to have a saline sono next cycle.
I'm also ok with starting injectibles now. My body just isn't responding to the Femara, and I need some bigger guns. At this point, we're just wasting money on ultrasounds.
Anyone care to share their experiences with a saline sono? How did the procedure and discomfort compare to HSGs? I've had 2 HSGs, which weren't that bad. Is the saline sono an in-office procedure or was it done in Radiology like the HSG?
Any major side effects with Follistim? Anything else I should know? Thanks!
Saw RE 1/11/17 HSG x 2 - 2nd revealed both tubes open and arcuate uterus Cycle #1-2 Femara 5mg + TI = Cancelled - poor response Cycle #3 - Femara 7.5mg and Dex 0.5mg - another poor response - waiting to see when I O

I'm so sorry about the response to Femara not improving. I have no experience with injectibles, but a saline sono is nothing like an HSG. It's basically just an ultrasound where they insert saline with a catheter prior to the ultrasound. So the catheter can cause some discomfort, but I found mine to be mostly just messy (bring a pad because you'll be leaky after). Mine was done in office and only took a few more minutes than a regular ultrasound. I think I had some mild cramping after, but it wasn't even to the level of period cramps.
ETA: My HSG hurt like a mofo, so since that wasn't too uncomfortable for you, hopefully the saline sono will be a piece of cake

Thank you! So glad to hear that the saline sono should be done in the office. That makes me feel so much better!
I will definitely bring a pad with me. I guess I should take some ibuprofen beforehand.

gabride2010 try posting on the IVF thread for follistim questions. I know someone there will know!
Ok thanks! I wasn't sure if that was "allowed" since I'm not doing IVF, but I will definitely ask.
*grad warning*
Hope you don't mind me answering you question. I did two follistim cycles. The first I was over stimulated which made me really campy and uncomfortable. For both I got small bruises from the injection site, but that may just be my sensitive skin.
