I read through about half the Union thread. Its still my goal to finish it.
I'm where the rest of you are. I don't feel the immediate need to jump, but will if everyone does. Have some of the Parenting regs jumped over? Or is it mainly talk?
About a 1,000 people registered on SM but many seem hesitant. Almost all of the parenting regs left. For now. There's some talk of a discussion at 12 EST to discuss what people wanna do. I don't know if that will be in a new pinned post or in the one that's currently pinned.
Dang. The last time I looked at thread it was at 10 pages. I'll go if that's what everyone else decides to do. I did check out SM real quick yesterday and it didn't look like they had BMBs. I don't post much as it is, but I would feel pretty overwhelmed posting on a general board with a thousand other posters, so probably wouldn't anymore. But that's ok. I'm more of a lurker anyway.

My whole day at work is basically doing intern tasks ... GR. Sadly our new interns do not start until next week so I'm stuffing folders and making a million copies of shit. At least they pay for this shit now. I'm facilitating a 5 hour training on Sunday. Gotta love working on the weekends ...
I logged onto SM. Same avatar, new name- Fancy. I made a few intros and have my 20 posts. But I'm not sure I live how the boards are organized. Seems like Parenting will be even harder to follow? I'm most active here and waited 2 years to get to be in a BMB. So here, or SM, I'll stick with you all. I'm willing to move to FB if that is the consensus. I'm definitely not as invested in the expansion of this site as some are. And feel like I can see both sides. But I do get the need for more traffic. I liked the idea of making it more blog than website. I feel like there are a ton of mommy bloggers out there with smaller readerships who would be willing to guest write and link back to their own blogs. And I like reading blogs in general. I enjoy looking to them for "real parent" advice and prefer to get anything information medical related from more reputable places. Like, I'm not going to TB for pregnancy specific medical help. Because they aren't doctors!

+1 to this. I don't post a ton, but I'd like to stay here with this BMB!

Hi everyone! I haven't posted in forever but I've been lurking. Just a combo of not feeling well and being busy. I'd like to stay on this site though. I love my other BMB. I understand the need for more traffic especially on the big boards like parenting and GKU and the IF community. I feel like we all fit into one of those categories and it is nice to have a lot of talk and flow to those boards. I think the way we get our info and news is more blog than website form so I do think blogs are the way to increase more traffic. It's too bad all three admins were pretty busy when this discussion happened and they couldn't really give 100%
