So I lurk the Parenting board and they have forced a lot of us lurkers out of our shells today. I just wanted to introduce myself - I have a June 14 DD, but used to lurk May 14 and June 14 back when it was The Bump, as my DD was due 5/31. I've learned so much from you ladies! I stay at home with my almost 3 year old (yikes!) and am expecting DD #2 this August. Hope to get to know you all!
Hi welcome! Many of us have second babies now too so we're good for advice and commiseration over the beautiful life of raising a toddler and an infant.

"beautiful" should definitely be in quotes there.
ETA don't mind me. DD2 is a cranky snotty mess lately. I'm thinking we might have allergies here.

I feel the same way. Dd2 is getting her molars in.

I was trying hard to not be negative as I was recovering from my bedtime debacle. Let's just say there's a lot to complain about, but it's also wonderfully fun. Besides, hers will be 3 years apart, so surely it will be easier and amazing 😉

I definitely don't regret it. Some days maybe, but not really. The girls were playing really nicely outside and it was sweet. It made me remember why we wanted a second.
Hi there! Glad you came out to play. Can you tell us a little about you and your DD?
Of course! MH and I met at work when we lived in So Cal, and we moved out to Denver about 4 years ago. It's hard being away from friends and (some) family, bit we've been lucky that we've made some good friends that live nearby and have kiddos roughly the same age. My DD goes to daycare Mon - Fri from 8:30 - 11:30 which is great for both of us. She gets the socialization and I get the me time. She is absolutely thriving there and I'm so glad we decided to put her in it. Of course we have to sacrifice some things to afford it, with MH being the only income. When she's not at daycare she loves to paint and draw, and watch her "shows". Umm let's see, before I had my DD I was heavily into yoga, so much that I wanted to get certified to teach. Maybe some day! I also like to fire dance, yes with actual fire. Also called spinning poi. That's all I can think of for now!
Fire dancing sounds interesting. Is there a cultural significance to you? Or did you pick it up for some other reason?
No cultural significance, but my old neighbors run a business called Firegroove. You can google them, lots of cool videos and such. That's kinda how I fell into it, and I just clicked with it right away!
