Up doing C's motn wake up - a full hour earlier than usual. I'm hoping he isn't up for the day after earlier after I put him back down.
I have to go into work for like an hour today. I'm hoping I can get another killer nap out of him before we go. Fingers crossed yesterday wasn't a fluke.
Since 11pm we've had 2 wake ups. Just successfully did a diaper change and feed and swaddle without having him open his eyes. Now just resting wth him inclined on my chest before putting him down again in hopes he won't spit up.
I have my yearly hair appointment today thanks to MIL who gave me a gift certificate as a birth present! Going to get it cut and dyed ombré. It is supposed to take 3 hours, ugh. Wish I could sleep the whole time hahaha! I downloaded Oryx and Crake to start reading which will help pass the time.
My TMIs: I had some bowel incontinence last week, but thankfully it ended up in the pad I was wearing. Also, I know everyone says things go back to normal down there but I really feel stretched out like air bubbles get caught in the folds and then I have to walk weird to get them out. Finally, due to changes down there I don't think I'm capable of silent farts anymore. This is a problem because I fart all the time, and I anticipate a lot of embarrassment in my future.

Hello from Orlando! We hit up Epcot yesterday and both kids did so well! It was hot as balls but we managed. The baby care center was my refuge. Also, seeing this all through A's eyes is the most amazing thing ever. She met Mickey, Minnie and goofy yesterday and I was practically in tears. She was so excited and so cute with them!
We're doing Hollywood studios today. H really wants A to see the fantasmic show tonight which doesn't start until 9pm. I laughed.
I'm in the 4 hour camp mikaela20. I was in the 5 or 6 but we've gone back to 4 which is just cruel.
Uhh that's cruel! I imagine it's hard to adjust back to less sleep.
I was in the 2 hour camp so I'm still feeling more rested now with the 4. It's usually 4 hours then another 2 hour stretch before being up for the day.
mikaela20 sleep is the reason H and I were okay ( and kinda wanting to) supplement with formula from day one. That and so he could feed her, especially middle of the night so I could sleep on weekends!
She didn't start sleeping these 6+ hour stretches til this week. This week I was down to only one BM bottle a day. I was completely dry on the pump starting Saturday. Saturday was the night she slept 9 hours before waking. Last night was 8.25. I'm starting to think it's either the thicker formula or that she's hit the magical 11+ pounds
What's this about magical 11 lbs? Ds is just over 11 lbs now.

Someone in my mom's group said she read so.ewhere that at 11 pounds babies have the ability to sleep through the night with out NEEDING to wake for food.
Also, my friend upped the last feed by two ounces and her kid sleeps ten hours a night straight.
I've read this too.
I'm not holding out hope with DD because girl loves to eat.

I slept so hard during DD's first stretch that when I woke up I had no idea what day it was. I have to go to the dentist this morning. I hate the dentist. Which reminds me: those of you who haven't been to the dentist since giving birth, don't be surprised if you have a cavity or two even. My dentist said pregnancy can mess with your teeth pretty bad. His own wife, who is also a dentist, had FIVE cavities after her pregnancy with their twins. Five. I felt more than ok with the 2 I had after DS.
I thawed some breastmilk to have L try today, and it tastes/smells WAY different than freshly expressed milk It made me gag. I hope L doesn't mind the taste of it because if he does I'm going to have to figure something out for when I'm gone for 48 hours in a few weeks.
I found out today that DD is going to be moving to a new DC room in August where all of the kids she had been with since she started DC are at now. I am very happy about this, since she is with older kids right now and she'll be back with kids more her age. I'm also laughing at myself about how invested I am about what room DD is in. She is doing well in her room now and doesn't care that she is in a different room than the other kids, but here I am all happy she'll be back with them.

Sleeping at night, I either get 5 followed by 4 or I get 8+. It's totally random from what I can tell. DD crossed the 11 lbs mark at 5 weeks - she's 10 weeks now and about 14 lbs. I don't remember when the longer stretches started but it was definitely a while after.
Regarding sleep and size, I am happy that DS is up once a night. I also know that could change any time. DD was a great sleeper at this age and then later on it went to being up 3 times a night, which sucked. I'll take any sleep I can get now, but am also mentally prepping for when it's less. I know eventually he'll STTN and remind myself of that as I drag myself out of bed at night.

We're heading home. DD has been a great traveling companion so far. But I'm glad to get back to our usual routine and also our house where I feel more in control and prepared.

Considering my 3 year old woke up at the same time as my 2 month old last night (1 am) and does so at least once or twice a week, I'm not planning on a full nights sleep until the 2 month old turns 4. I'm all about setting low expectations so then I can be pleasantly surprised.

I also take back my regret for the 8:50 appointment time. The extra hour resulted in me pumping 9oz when I usually get 6 if I'm lucky. Not going to make this a regular thing, but I'll accept the extra bottles worth of milk.
