I wonder if FF has something to do with it? Clara was FF starting at about 8 weeks and that's when she started sleeping through the night.
It seems to really be baby-dependent. Max has been sleeping from 7:30 until usually 8:00 with one wakeup around 5:00 for a few weeks now, and he's all BF. (He's also one of the oldest babies on this board!)
I normally don't bring it up because tiny infants all have their own sleep learning timeline. I actually think his time in the NICU has contributed to his early sleeping abilities.
mikaela20 sleep is the reason H and I were okay ( and kinda wanting to) supplement with formula from day one. That and so he could feed her, especially middle of the night so I could sleep on weekends!
She didn't start sleeping these 6+ hour stretches til this week. This week I was down to only one BM bottle a day. I was completely dry on the pump starting Saturday. Saturday was the night she slept 9 hours before waking. Last night was 8.25. I'm starting to think it's either the thicker formula or that she's hit the magical 11+ pounds
What's this about magical 11 lbs? Ds is just over 11 lbs now.
I think once his meds kick in he may start sleeping better. He's almost 12 weeks right?

I mean, yeah, your kid is going to do whatever! Lol! I just kept reminding myself this because I gave up BFing Clara early for multiple reasons and I don't have stopping point for T but I keep thinking of the sleep Clara gave me!
My DS was exclusively formula fed and didn't regularly STTN until 15 months. I remember the first time he EVER sttn he was 9 months, and I remember it specifically because it was New Years Eve lol.
I think sttn is really so baby dependent. DS is 10 weeks today, and may just now be hitting 11 lbs. (He was 9.2 a few weeks ago.) We've been a once a night wake up for several weeks (usually sometime between 3 and 4). We shoot for 8 for him to be down for good, but he's almost always down for good by 9 (often dependent on how long he sleeps in the late afternoon/early evening.) And he usually is up for the day around 7.
He's taking a really good nap again this morning (Though not in his crib...It is way too warm upstairs today, and we haven't turned the AC on yet.) I'm glad he's sleeping because I have to go into work for about an hour later today and I don't want him to be a hot mess. And he was a little off last night. I took him out to meet up with a friend for dinner, and he got pretty fussy toward the end, and then got up motn about an hour earlier than normal. I think he definitely needed the sleep. Hope he's cute and smiley at work today, since several co-workers haven't met him yet.
jnowcosmicav +1 to STTN not happening consistently until 15m with my first... thank goodness he sleeps now. 11+ hours a night without a single peep!
DS went backwards. He would sleep 7:30p-7a straight from about 4 or 5 months until he turned 1. His sleep went to pure shit for a few months. Now he STTN more often than not, but wakes up pretty regularly between 6 and 6:30am. It was pure hell going from an infant that legit STTN to a toddler that didn't. I was more sleep deprived his second year of life than I was his first.

Thank you, SFIL, for the picture of my baby crying.
I really think he means well and is trying to be funny since she's pissed her bottle was gone (at least that is what he thinks is going on) but no working mom, or any kind of mom, wants a picture of their kid crying. Unless its for a ridiculous reason like you broke the toddler's banana in half and he/she wanted it in one piece or something like that.
I was in the 2 hour camp so I'm still feeling more rested now with the 4. It's usually 4 hours then another 2 hour stretch before being up for the day.[/quote]

This is us exactly- I'm getting a 3-4 hour stretch followed by a 1-2 hour stretch, five or take
moutonrougeglb30 We were just discharged and are heading home! All of the cultures were negative at 24 hrs, so they think he just has a virus. I have never been so happy for a virus :-)
. That is insane! When I was still teaching and not in the library, I switched schools when I found out I was going to have three preps and one grade level. I can't imagine four and different grades!!

mikaela20 how is the Zantac going? I know you just got it so it probably takes a little while to help but I'm hoping you see some improvement!
Reflux is on my mind because J's just got significantly worse I think. He is not a cryer (as in, only crys getting out of the shower when he's cold... that's it) and he has been screaming today, spitting up a ton after every meal and waking up from his naps every 30-45 min even though I know he is tired and usually takes good naps. It's kind of freaking me out, he seems so "off." Up until now at least his weight gain has been great so my Dr won't even consider reflux treatment. I'm actually thinking of trying to change Peds but I don't know if that is irrational

Yay for heading home and nothing more than a virus, but go away, germs!
No STTN here either but DD is world's better than DS was so I don't have too many complaints. We usually get a 4-5 hour stretch followed by another 3-4 hours. The positive side is we change diaper, nurse, and she's right back to sleep. DS uses to take forever to eat and we'd be up so long but DD's wakeups are never more than half an hour.

No good yet. He is throwing up more.
I'm sorry hopefully you see some improvement over the next few days
. I feel your pain. Although my assignments didn't change, I am one of two high school English teachers for the district. I have five preps (used to be six!) Luckily I've had the same set of classes for a few years so I've got my curriculum figured out, but it is a lot! It makes my days go super fast, because I'm always switching gears, but sometimes I wish I taught at a big school where I taught one, maybe two preps all day long. (Though I'm she that gets boring!)
