Went for my bi-weekly today. Everything was fine! I'm measuring a week behind right now. A month ago I was 2.5 weeks ahead. We'll see what it's like next week!

It's crazy how the measurements can change xxjen015. I go back the MFM tomorrow and am curious to see how baby is measuring. Last time s/he was over 2 weeks ahead and already 3 lbs.

MFM appt was good. Baby is now measuring 4 lbs, so gaining about 1/4 lb per week. S/he is head down and there is still plenty of room for the cord. So I start weekly OB appts with NSTs next week and see the MFM again in 4 weeks.

MFM was good for me yesterday too. Both babies are measuring around 5lb (OMG!) and head down. I'm feeling a little more confident that I might not have to have a c-section.
Had an ultrasound yesterday. Baby is measuring 3 weeks ahead (I'm 32w measuring 35w) which hasn't changed from a month ago. Apparently the fact that all of the measurements are in the 80-90th percentiles means there's nothing to worry about. The concern would be if just one or two of the measurements were way off from the others. Also, the fact that the the biggest thing is the head (96th percentile) means I shouldn't worry (?!?) because if the growth was GD related the largest thing would be the belly/abdomen. So pretty much I'm just #blessed with big-headed sasquatch babies. Estimated at 5.5 lbs with 6-7 weeks to go. RIP vagina.
JoBub I definitely LOL'd at your post. I'm sorry for your upcoming birth experience, but glad that you don't need to worry!! My girlfriend had her baby 5 weeks early and he was 9lbs.

#terrifying #blessherheart
right??? She just has big babies. No GD or anything. He first was born at 31 weeks and also huge for that gestational age. I cannot even fathom. It hurt enough pushing out 6lbs of baby.

Holy crap. I'm kind of hoping this baby will just decide he's done and come early. Otherwise I'll schedule the delivery at 39 weeks, but that's the earliest my doctor will allow. He offered to schedule a C-section because my first delivery/recovery was so difficult. But I'm not really sure if that's what I want to do.

I was going to ask - are they telling you a c section is possible? My friend had a 9lb+ baby and they told her she needed a c section or he could get stuck.

Do you know at what point they'll decide that? I know you wanna go natural!

My doctor is known for being crunchy. He's like the VBAC King in our city. So I wasn't really expecting it from him, but he basically told me he knows what his reputation is, and it's not that he is against Csections, he just wants every mother to feel empowered to try for whatever type of delivery she wants. So basically (unless something changes) it's totally up to me, he will schedule a csection or induction at/after 39 weeks, or I can wait it out and see what happens. It's a lot of pressure making that decision myself TBH.
My first DS was 8lbs 6oz and I had a very difficult recovery but it was not necessarily due to his size, but because the cord was around his neck and they used the vacuum and then forceps to get him out fast.

They will at this point, allow me to go into labor on my own if it's before 38 weeks. They will assess when I get there the plan depending on the positions of the babies. If they are both head down, my OB is fine allowing me to go med free.
