Picture two little inch worms. Lol. I'll get H to take video and post to FB. Still dealing with no space issues.
Get google photos!! It backs up automatically and you can have it delete stuff that is already backed up. There might be an iPhone equivalent if that's what you have but I don't Apple.
Yes Google photos! You can get it on an iPhone too.

kleigh crawling babies?! I am sooo not ready for that! I still need to baby proof a few things too. O is not even sitting yet so I think I have some time.
vinolove how did you decide to do the airport? Stroller, carrier? Are you taking car seats? Asking for a friend.
kleigh baby proofing for me went like this... Monday - oh crap, he can get to that, move it Tuesday - oh crap, he can pull on that, rearrange this Wednesday - oh crap, that looks dangerous, run to store to buy outlet covers And on and on and on

Yes, this is exactly how baby proofing went for us too.

Well, dh isn't talking to me and I feel like shit, but hey he's not going on his Pokemon adventure.
He texted and said his friend really wanted to go. I asked for one good reason and is let it go. Instead, he offers to take Lillian along. I said no. 1) my mom is taking off to spend the day with us and 2) it would make me more anxious. So then he offered to drive them if that would make me feel better. So I said essentially I didn't care anymore and obviously my feelings didn't matter. So he cancelled his absence.
Clearly that isn't the case since he tried everything to make it ok. It was a low move for me. I apologized, but he's still upset and I got exactly the opposite of what I wanted which was for him to decide on his own to spend the time with me instead. Sigh.

I've been staring at my giant brick fireplace wall for the last year trying to figure out how to baby proof that damn thing. I'm still clueless. So not ready.
C started clapping today for the first time!! Daddy was singing and he just started clapping along. Last weekend he started waving bye too. It's so cute 🤣

How do I word what I want to ask... Hmm
Is the brick fireplace one "flat" facade ? Or is it a brick "step"/"shelf" on the ground your worried about?
My sister has the latter and just put this foam stuff on all the edges - two toddlers no accidents to date.

You're not safe! J isn't sitting 100% either but yet she is crawling, it's crazy.
And then there's D who isn't rolling but she is 100% sitting. These babies do not care about logical progressions.
waitwhat Sleep in this house is rather horrendous most nights so I can't say if it's at all tied to the crawling but ?hopefully? that's what J's deal is?

This is C. His tummy time still looks like he's 3 month old. He hates it and just gives up. But put him in the walker or bouncer and he's crazy active. He's also sitting like a champ!

Haha! Basically since learning to sit, D wants nothing to do with being on her tummy. She was doing awesome with it previously but go figure. And if it keeps her from crawling longer, even better.
goldenlove3 GIRL no judging, my house looks like a tornado ripped through it - 2 of everything, you can imagine.
So yeah, I'd focus on finding a foam protector for the edge - the rest is probably not as big of a deal. I mean based on how my sister did it and she's rather neurotic about most things. But someone else should feel free to jump in.
The one benefit is that it gets tiring listening to two whiny babies who see a toy they want but can't reach it and we'd you to bring them over. Just the past day has been a huge relief letting them crawl over to whatever they want. That said, two crawling is setting us up for lots of cuts and bruises bc they go toward each other and try to claw each other's face apart for fun.

kleigh I'll look into it. I just don't know how foam would stick. It's not smooth brick and I don't want to do any damage to it since we'll be moving next year. I've always hated this stupid wall but never knew what to do with it.
vinolove That would be nice. I think we'll be safe for a bit. I just don't want him climbing on it. It's kind of the perfect height to pull up and snack your face on the edge. I've been seeing those giant playpens at BBB and thought about geting one to put in that space.
vinolove I think your plan sounds solid! Im trying so hard to remember who I flew with and what they said when I flew to Vancouver before, but alas, my memory sucks. I imagine though, that you'll want to feed on take off and landing so wearing might be a moot point. It's also varied for me if the flight attendants are strict with baby being upright. Some say you can't BF, that the baby has to be upright over your shoulder. Some tell you to BF bc baby will be happier. I always just smile and regardless, plan to whip out the boob just as the plane starts to accelerate.
vinolove I think you'll be just fine. At least, I hope you will be, b/c I'm doing the same thing about 3 weeks after you! My plan is similar--my parents have all the gear we'll need, bless them, so once we get our bags checked I think we'll be in good shape.
Also, I have the older version of the Summer umbrella stroller and it's been a good 'un. Hope you will like yours!
ClassyMrsA, I'm sorry! I feel we are in the same boat! DH basically thinks I don't like when he does stuff away from the house but they "need" to get done! I'm with baby all day because I breastfeed on demand so to me it feels like he's been home a week and is already going stir crazy. I'm home every day and had hoped he'd be more helpful and I don't think he is! I feel like his car is his excuse to get away! It's not but that's how I feel. Like right now I'm under a sleeping baby in a hot as hell bedroom and he's next to me asleep! Forget the fact the dogs need to go out in 30 minutes. He does help but I just guess I was delusional in thinking I'd get more breaks with him than with my mom.
goldenlove3 Could you cut foam pool noodles and put them the edge?
YES this is lbs of what hers is like except black. It's really just foam that's cut and hugs the edge. Nothing really needed to make it "stick". goldenlove3
