Today there's a speaker on baby massage at my midwives office. I want to go for 2 reasons, a) DS hates the bath so I'm hoping this could be something else I could incorporate into the bedtime routine. And b) DD1 is already starting to go through growing pains so I'm wondering if it could help her relax as well. So I'm dropping off the girls and doing that.
Then I want to go look for a gift for my midwife (I'll be scoping out their office this morning to make sure they don't have what I'm planning), and pick up some beard oil to send H in his gift box since he's letting it grow in up there.
Edit: updated my phone and apparently now my spell check sucks
B loves his post-bath massage littleredfish. He's got ticklish feet so he giggles like a mad man when I get down there. It's my favorite part of our bedtime routine too. I hope the class is good!
I'm planning on talking to my boss either today or tomorrow about moving to part time in August. I'm nervous because I want him to say yes in the worst way possible. If he says no, I need to find another job
My cousin is going to see if there are openings at the daycare where she works for the fall. We have a deposit down on the place next to where I work, but they are moving so they just lost my #1 reason why we were going there. I'd rather her be where my cousin is working AND it's still walkable from work.

Went to the gym this morning and had a great workout. Finally! It's been so so hard since starting back up at work. Not much going on here today. It's going to be pretty hot the next two days. So maybe break out the water table for K. Other than that I work tonight and that's about it.

R slept great again! 9:30-6:30! Today I need to exercise and try to buy new shoes for C. His have a section falling apart as of yesterday and he is mad about it. 😂

Look at all those cute babies!
DH and I had an argument about his utter disregard for me to have some personal time (even in the bathroom and shower) lately. He apologized for not helping me have some personal time but I'm still pissed about it.
Trying to let it go, he is taking me and the kids to lunch today so he obviously feels guilty about it.
Other than that, I cannot wait for my little sister to come next week and help out since we don't have childcare until June, dang summer break!

notagoddess I've been contemplating finding a Bumbo (never had one for my girls) because DS already gets mad if I don't sit him up, the recline even on his bouncy chair or swing pisses him off. You've solidified it for me. Doing it.
Forgot to share my happy ham. He has to wear DD2s bandana bibs now because they are bigger to contain the super drool. I just put this one on so it's the only pic I have of him not wearing a goober rag around his neck.

My day today...
I had a work call this morning. Then DH and I went to BJs to pick up a few things since he works from home on Wednesdays. Now DH is watching the baby while I do work stuff. I've got an hourlong call coming up and I've got several hours worth of stuff to do by EOD.
I feel like crap still, so I'm going to see if I can get to urgent care tomorrow morning before I commute like hell to a client meeting in the middle of nowhere. I just want to make sure this isn't something I need to be super concerned with. I wash my hands religiously and am using a ton of sanitizer, but I'm still cautious about picking up the baby. We'll see what they say.
Also, I'm starting to slowly get to a place where I want to work out again. I miss running...haven't done it since early in my pregnancy. And when I first had E, it was such a shock to my system that exercising and eating super well was FAR from the top of my priority list. I have secretly been super envious of those of you who have been exercising and thinking how the HELL does she do it?!? (Like particularly oldbaylover1024 and flyinghorses6. You both have REAL jobs that you work HARD at, you have gorgeous babies that demand precious sleep time, AND you make time to exercise. What sorcery do you practice???)
Any tips for finding time to exercise? I'll also take eating well tips.

loves2shop4shoes, we have that swaddle sack, I'm embarrassed to admit it took me awhile to realize they were giraffes not ducks... like between DS! outgrowing it and DS2 being big enough to sleep in it. Apparently my mom brain is mush! DH thought I was crazy because he couldn't find the duck swaddle sack!

musicallyinclined, I like that one in particular because it's such a light, breathable fabric. It's great now that it's warming up. I want to swaddle her without roasting her, and I feel like this is a good compromise.

loves2shop4shoes it is a million times harder to find the time now that I'm back to work. I learned the hard way with K and made use of my maternity leave this time!!
Right now I go in the early morning before DH has to go into work on the mornings I am not sleeping from working over night. Days after I work all night I do not have time or energy to fit workouts in. But if I did I would have to wait until both kids are in bed and then we have a home gym that is pretty awesome. My DH works with elite athletes so we have a ton of equipment he has collected over the years.
To make the best use of my gym time I do 15-25 minute circuits and about 20-30 minutes of HIIT cardio. I mix it up a lot or I get too bored. I like classes too, but only if it's a whole body thing.
Eating is also harder now that I'm back to work. I try not to eat after 3 am at work but it still turns out some days I eat 2 meals and some days I eat 4. And eating healthy is something that you have to change little by little and make it a complete lifestyle change. It is also tough!
Also I drink Spark, and a lot of coffee. And on my nights off I don't make it to see 8 pm. Working nights is a crazy life. I don't recommend it to anybody. It sucks in so many ways. But it's what works for our family for now, and the money is better. So it is what it is.
littleredfish I'd also highly recommend the sit me up chair by fisher price. DS didn't love the bumbo -- it was tight on his thighs. But LO loves the sit me up chair, and I think we will get more use out of that than the bumbo.

I saw those too and wanted one!! My draw to the bumbo is I can get one second hand for like $10. I keep circling back to the sit me up though.

Oh, loves2shop4shoes , you're giving me waaaaay too much credit LOL During ML I worked out whenever I could get away. These days I need to either do it in the morning (around 5 a.m.), before I pick up J from DC (this means I have to get to work earlier so I can leave around 4), or I go after bedtime routines are done (around 8:30). The nice thing is my gym is a 5 minute walk from our house, so it's literally around the corner. Makes getting there easier. I usually stick to 25-40 minutes of cardio, then an arms and/or abs circuit (about 15-25 minutes). If I don't have time for both, I at least do 25 minutes of cardio on the elliptical.
In regards to eating, I use the same tricks I did when I was on WW. Basically, breakfast is something healthy and quick - black coffee and either fiber cereal or oatmeal with a fruit, usually an orange or banana or some mixed fruits from the fridge. Or hardboiled eggs and fruit if I have eggs already boiled. Lunch I always eat a salad. ALWAYS. I change it up with beans, tuna, chicken, boiled eggs, etc. to get some protein. Snacks are Greek yogurt with fruit, or a cheese stick or peanut butter and celery, something satisfying that keeps me until dinner. I try to do 4 small meals a day, but it's tough sometimes.
AFM, MH made me look like an ass yesterday. I came home and he had a new Co.ach bag and flowers waiting for me with a really sweet apology note. Sooooo I promptly canceled my Ka.te Sp.ade order LOL He also acknowledged a lot of what I was feeling, and he didn't think about my return to work being a factor. We have more to work on, but yesterday was a huge step in the right direction.

oldbaylover1024 I love J's picture! Glad YH is getting back in the loop.
loves2shop4shoes We joined a gym with on-site childcare (YMCA). That's the only way I get a workout unless I want to scramble to do something during regular daycare hours. Since I can barely get in a day of work during that time (and often that doesn't work well either), I doubt gym time would make the cut very often. My go-to quick workout is a circuit and maybe bike sprints (similar to what flyinghorses6 said).

I like it a million times more. Also it folds flat which is basically brilliant.
