The tv has been parenting for me today and my kids just got done watching Homeward Bound, which C declares is her favorite movie. It was one of my favorites when I was a kid too. What are your favorite kid or family movies either from your own childhood or now?

I loved Homeward Bound, too!
My other favourites were The Brave Little Toaster, The Last Unicorn, Prancer (at Christmastime), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Disney version), Hook, A Little Princess, and Mrs. Doubtfire.
I still watch Prancer every Christmas and if Hook or Mrs. Doubtfire are on TV I will watch to the end lol.

From my childhood I mostly remember watching PBS ... but no movies. First feature length movie I remember seeing was Superman. Not sure if that qualifies as a kid's movie.
And probably when cable TV came around I got to see some age-inappropriate stuff, thanks to crappy babysitters. But I digress.
The Muppet Movie has held up pretty well, I think. Pretty sure there are jokes that went over my head as a kid, that I appreciate now as an adult.
Over the years I've been pretty impressed with what Pixar has put out. Hard to pick a favorite.
My kids recently discovered Homeward Bound. If yours like that they might like Milo and Otis which I think is boooooooring but my kids love it. The Honey I Shrunk the Kids movies are all hits here as well. At Christmas we did Home Alone, Jingle all the Way, and the Santa Clause franchises. It was great.
My kids are also OBSESSED with shows like American Ninja Warrior, Beast Master, Little Big Shots, AGT, Spartan, etc.
Oh and for YouTube it's all Dude Perfect all the time.
My all-time favorite kid's movie is the lesser-known-and-loved Oliver and Company. I just got a copy and can't wait to show it to Nugget! Billy Joel music and dogs is right in her wheelhouse. Maybe we'll watch it tonight
I also love anything Muppets. Mary Poppins, The live action Peter Pan with mary Martin, anything Rogers and Hammerstein. I watched a lot of movie musicals as a kid. For Christmas, Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas is a staple, as is the 80's Santa Claus: the Movie with Dudley Moore and John Lithgow. Worst Witch is my Halloween movie jam, as is Hocus Pocus. I was also all about the Disney Original movies as a kid.
