From BumpHQ:
We understand some of you have made a request to delete your accounts and we are truly sorry you feel this way. We would love for you to continue to participate in our community and help us improve it. We welcome your feedback to improve the community.
That said, we will process your request to delete your account and your content. Please tell us the username you would like deleted and let us know if you would like an account deletion only (removal of name and personal info from your profile but the content of your posts stay) or if you want an account and content deletion, where all content is gone and just a [deleted post] response exists. You can post this request in this thread or PM @bumpcaitlin. We will confirm the request with you via PM or email.
Please be aware that if you choose the account and content deletion option, all your threads and previous posts will be deleted and we will not be able to reinstate your content on the Community. If you have previously requested a deletion and instead would prefer to stay active on the community or to have your account be closed and your content anonymized instead please let us know ASAP using the same instructions given above.
You may not see the change in your status this evening. We are starting the deletions in batches, specifically with those who have most recently confirmed their desires. If you prefer to delay our completion of a deletion that you have previously requested, please let us know.
We will miss seeing you on The Bump and wish you well.
We will post this message and a link to this board throughout the site this weekend. Please, for the sake of efficiency and quicker responses, try to keep these requests here going forward.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have posted in the thread that began with this message from BumpCaitlin, on her wall, via pm and email. Fingers crossed.
No but they said it would be by yesterday evening.
I think they really underestimated how many people would want their accounts deleted. They were banking on it being all noise and no follow through on the part of the posters.
That said, I agree with Sterling.
Oh, exactly. Their first emails to people said by the evening, followed by not this evening and now it's this week.
I'm sure they are overwhelmed and we know they aren't exactly good at software and shit.
I just hope one email is enough because I don't want to give them any more of my time.
I've emailed a few times too, I'm sure I could be more persistent but I logged out of my account on there and don't wish to log back in to post the same request again. I'd think the repetitive requests may be bogging them down further, so I've decided to stop posting my request in every single place in hopes that they'll actually get to it quicker without having to weed through 1738 request just from me.
still not excited about their lack of timeliness, promise not fulfilled. Fuckers.

I googled XO Group Caitlin and the first link was a Linked In profile for a Senior Project Manager who has been at XO for 9 years. It looks like the big boss is actually tuned in and cleaning the mess up herself.

They are offering an "or" scenario. It does not look like they will be honoring full content account deletions. And now they are saying you HAVE to email. Even banned users.
As far as I can tell all of my posts have been deleted and my account deleted. I did notice last night that siggies were staying on posts that have been deleted so I got rid of mine completely. Not sure how that will work if you're banned though ? which sucks.
Since I am banned I sent an e-mail. I am not holding my breath though. In the grand scheme of things I really don't care if my stuff does not get deleted but completely understand why it is so important to others.

I was deleted in the past hour. I posted in Bump Caitlin's thread last night.
Everything was deleted - I checked my most recent response to a thread, and it's not a blank spot with (Deleted User) - it's just gone like it was never there. But, I don't know if I had left a siggy if that would have meant that the blank post with my siggy would have stayed.

However, it appears that if you were quoted, your quoted content remains with your screen name attached. I did a bump search for my username, and all kinds of posts like this came up.
I want to delete my content but I feel a little bad about it. There are so few moms out there that know about and are willing to talk about Turner's. I'm still going to request deletion though.
It looks they deleted my content but not my account (i asked for both). I went into a thread that I knew comment on and found myself quoted. When I click on my name it doesn't say "user not found" or whatever; my account is still there but I have no post history and I'm listed as a newb. So, halfway there...
Also I think banned members should be unbanned just so they can edit their siggies. Give them a 24 hr window.
Too bad they won't. That would be like acknowledging they did banned users wrong. I'm going to continue tweeting my displeasure and continue retweeting you.
