I'm sitting in bed eating my breakfast sandwich because DD is still asleep in our bed. 😔 Dh told me this morning that at 3:30 she cried and when he got there, pointed to the door, then hall, then our room. Uh oh! We've got to nip that in the bud. Also, she couldn't have slept until past 7 yesterday on my day off?!!!!
I'm already ready for work and stuffed a load of diapers, so hopefully she will stir with enough time to feed her and not be too rushed.

Good morning! We're doing state testing this morning and I have been assigned no responsibilities for it, so I have three hours to grade and play on TCF. I did change my PCP this morning to a place who's radiology is the same as my midwives so I don't have to go to a different hospital for that anymore. Stupid insurance said I had to have my ultrasounds done at the place with affiliated with my PCP, not midwives. I did that in the past, but I don't want any lapse in communication and I want the mfm I'm going to see be the person who reads the ultrasound. Anyway, it's a relief to have taken care of that.

Hey, it's my Friday! H and I are taking tomorrow off for a day date while DS is in DC. I'm irritated ATM because I burned my grilled cheese because I had to respond to someone that was asking questions about something he wasn't supposed to be giving approval on...grrr
So I had my first appointment yesterday and it was pretty crazy
My ultrasound showed two sacs and two heartbeats! My H has always said he would love twins but we never actually thought it would happen so we are pretty shocked and excited! I know it's such a blessing and we have a really great support system in our families so it's going to be fine, I can't help but feel scared though. Will I still be able to breastfeed? Will I still be able to cloth diaper? How is DD going to handle not just one but two new babies in the house? I need to connect with some other twin moms for sure.
That's exciting news belle0720. I know there are a lot of twin moms that are GKU grads that are floating around here somewhere.
I get to go pick my wedding band back up at lunch today. I'm so excited to get it back after feeling naked all week. I might pop into Olr Navy and H&M for a bit while I'm at the mall.

OMG belle0720!! EEEP! So exciting. My H keeps making jokes that we are having twins and this has really been the board of twins so far so now I am nervous. haha Congrats!

A quick post and run on a busy day. Our appointment went well yesterday. One baby with a fast little heartbeat in the 160s. Due date between 12/28 and 12/30. We were joking with the midwife that if it ends up that we deliver on NYE there needs to be champagne. Now off to clean and pack before our flight tonight.

I got McNuggets for dinner last night since H wasn't home. I've been trying to avoid eating fast food but it was so good! I then got caught by my sister eating in my car because I didn't want to share nuggets with my dogs. My dogs aren't the boss of me...I swear it!
It's 90+ for the second day in a row here. Supposed to be tomorrow too, but it should rain and hopefully break some of it up... I have an outdoor event on Saturday so I hope so!

Congrats belle0720, I'm glad it's welcome news. Good luck veganontuesdays! You deserve champagne leekpartyof2. ldubhawksfan, we went through a phase of E only sleeping well in our bed. I think we may be turning a corner *FX*
AFM: My mom is coming this weekend and we're headed to NY for a couple days for some MD stuff. Looking forward to seeing her.

I'm irritated with my SIL who text me asking if I got the Instantpot I got them for their wedding was from Walmart. Obviously she wants to return it. I suppose I should haven't gone off registry for part of their gift, but I love ours and wouldn't have another opportunity to gift a $170 item other than a big event like this. I'm bummed. Even if she didn't like it, I wish she would have not been so obvious.

sarahandben108 , ugh - un-a/c schools are the worst. I used to get so upset every year that the old folks in our district would shoot down our budget so a/c was a pipe dream for us, yet it's sweltering for at least 15% of the school year.
ldubhawksfan , I'd be hurt too - you put a lot of thought into it and gave something you love. Hopefully if she is exchanging it, she'll get something she loves just as much in the end?
AFM, finally back from my regular OB visit. It's going to be an adjustment from going every week and getting scans to now going monthly and no more scans until the anatomy scan in 9 weeks. Visit was good, baby was measuring between 10w4d and 11w, which is right on track. HB wasn't measured exactly but seemed good, husband guestimated in high 160s. My nausea has been a little better the last two days, but trying not to be freaked out because we just saw baby, and he or she seems fine. I have to go to another lab to get my NIPT drawn - I thought she'd write Maternit21+ but she wrote Informaseq, so I actually have to go to Labcorp. I think it's fine though, because I think it will end up being slightly less expensive? [Edited to add: used their cost estimate. Estimated $39.42 vs. $800-850. Informaseq/Labcorp it is!!!]

@officedronette,- We actually have portable ACs that are usually in our windows. I am on the second floor so they have supplied ACs for al the rooms up here. Our custodian requested the ACs be put by maintenance in April, but it has been cool the last few weeks and so we have had the heat on. The maintenance workers won't put the ACs in because we were running heat. So now, this week when our rooms have been 80+ we have to suffer because the maintenance guys "might be able to get the ACs in next week".
