DD had her 2 month checkup today and shots. For now she's asleep and doing okay, but hopefully it stays that way since I have to drag her to my thyroid appt before we can head home. TGIF...it's been a long week.
What's everyone got planned for the weekend? DS has soccer and I want to go to the new baby expo, but that's all we have planned. Last weekend was so crazy so I'm hoping we can have a lazy Sunday.
I ran so many errands this morning. I also got a ton of groceries. Thank goodness my in laws watched C - it would not have ask got done otherwise.
Tomorrow wet are going to my brother's for a birthday party for C's cousins. I'm kind of not looking forward to it, because it isn't until 3 and is an hour away. That's partially when C usually naps, and early evening is when he gets fussy. And it's supposed to rain, so we will all be stuck inside. I'm probably going to use C as an excuse to duck out early...
I am feeling super hormonal today and breaking out. I feel like my first pp period is on its way. J is 8 weeks.
Also, I started counting calories and exercising every day for the last week and I stepped on the scale yesterday. I gained a lb and now I just want to drown myself in ice cream since apparently it doesn't make a difference 😡
bookish LT for 2 reasons. 1) I'm with you on the sometimes feeling like you got the 2 kid thing down and other times feeling like a complete failure. 2) dunks. I totally agree the bagels are meh yet I freaking crave them constantly and there are times I find reasons to leave the house just so I can go get a bagel for bfast multiple days in a row. It's bad.

DS had a tee ball game. Herding cats would be easier than that shit show. Trying to get 7 three year olds and 3 four year olds to pay attention is impossible.
DD is going through a growth spurt I think. She slept really well last night then took an hour and a half nap this morning, ate and was up for a little bit then took a 3.5 hour nap at mils while I got my hair done and did stuff around the house. She also slept through most of the game.

Are you BFing? Prolactin levels are high for about 6 months PP, which can hinder weight loss.
Even if you're not (I can't keep track/don't care either way) PP hormones are crazy for 6-12 months. Some people drop weight easily, others will hang on no matter what. Eating healthy and exercising are excellent for feeling good, and having something to show off when your hormones even out.
Stay strong! But also treat yo'self a little. Newborns are hard.

It's probably just water retention in your muscles from the exersice. 1-3 pounds is not a true gain.

I highly recommend it. Even if you don't live close to a "clubhouse," they can ship stuff to you. And give you everything to send back what you don't want. Sometimes I prefer this bc (1) I feel like the stuff at the clubhouse is really high end. It's fine for staples, but I don't want this for trends, etc. (2) Trying it on alone. I bought one of those long vests (like 2 years ago) bc my stylist was all about how versatile it was, how stylish, etc. I've worn it...once. I totally would have sent that back without the input of how great it looked.
glb30 THANK YOU! I live near one of the locations, but I see your point about being able to try on alone. I am definitely going to try this. I love Nordstrom!
