Hugs to you jjh1119 I'm sorry you're dealing with that sending sleep vibes your way. My lo is back to waking every two hours to eat this whole week (we were at 3 hour stretches which wasn't great but it was much better than every two) and I'm exhausted as well which has me dreading work tomorrow (and every day really). I just want to stay home with my baby. Lo will be 3 months on Friday so I'm thinking this might be his 3 month growth spurt.
My MIL is coming to visit today. She lives in FL, and is staying till Sunday. She and DH don't get along, so neither of us are looking forward to this visit. Should be a blast!
Good luck to you mama's having to go to work on no sleep....I hope you can have all the coffee! npg1982 oh man, that does not sound fun! It will totally be one of those things where you are counting down the days from the get go...I hope it goes better than expected
We are doing a trial run for daycare today and it is making me crazy anxious. My anxiety has actually been better than I thought it would be since having lo but I have been obsessing over this all week, thinking about how she will do, and just worrying about putting so much trust in the ladies who run it (granted I have met them, they come highly recommended and have been doing it for ever) I'm hoping it will go well today so I can chill the f out a bit
Liam is 3 months today. Finally downstairs on the couch and he is on the swing. Must be the growth spurt. spikesmom and pixie523
I got him situated and suddenly felt uhhh something. AF is here. I don't know how I'm going to be on my feet tomorrow for 9 hours. The cramps have already started.
Sounds like running on empty is the theme today. Hang in there, ladies. The weekend is so close. I've been up nursing all night as well, but for different reasons. DS has had Croup all week and has been loving to comfort nurse. I was starting to think he was on the mend but his cough this morning just sounds awful. This is all happening on my first week back to work. Thankfully, DH has time and is home giving him TLC.
Also, my new nephew is here! So excited for him and DS to grow up together and so close in age. Nothing like a built in best friend!
Happy Friday Eve! (Sounds way better than Thursday)
jjh1119 I am sorry AF has returned. I have been feeling like mine is right around the corner, so my box of tampons have been on standby. That is something I haven't missed. Hope you feel okay today!
We're all recovering from a cold. DS1 had to be picked up early from school on Monday for a fever. He was/is also really congested and has a cough. Then DS2 ran a mild fever Tuesday and had the snot and cough (still does). He spiked really high yesterday last night and I too was running a fever and how have a cough and scratchy throat. the baby is stuffy, but that's it so far. I hope she avoids a fever.
rosieb0514,how nice to have kids so close in age! My SS is the oldest of all the cousins and DS is now the youngest....all the cousins in between them are 7 and 8 years old so my guys don't really have insta-playmates.
My random today...OATMEAL.....I'm so sick of freaking oatmeal!!!! Oatmeal for breakfast, oat breakfast biscuits or granola for snack, sometimes yogurt with steel cut oats mixed in, oat bread for sandwiches. I don't know how much longer I can take it!! Blech!

littleapplemom We acutally got lucky that they squeeked out another kid. DH is the youngest by 8 years and his nieces and nephews range from 16 to 5. I also wanted to add that I'm just as sick of oatmeal as you! Every morning I choke it down on my drive in. Blah!

Ooh, can I join the up every 2 hours to feed the baby, rock her, and prevent her from crying in the middle of the night club? At least it's so cute when I can get her back to sleep. I'm still gonna smother her in kisses today.
I'm not sick of oatmeal yet. I only eat it once a day typically but it's delightful.
So, how long should we all expect to be in the shit sleep club? I'm feeling extra sympathy for those Momma's who have to work today. Only reason I'm mildly functional was a mid morning group snooze. Now I'll drink alllll the coffee.

Happy Thursday ladies! Here's to more sleep for those not getting it.
Yesterday I went to Target & bought lo sunglasses, sun hat, board shorts & a rash guard (ridiculously cute in baby versions). All for a vacation not yet planned. Ha! Dh & I decided a long time ago the only way we could manage living in Seattle was to go somewhere sunny every spring (it tends to be gray Nov through April here). Though our winter has been mild compared to what most of you are dealing with.

For those of you who don't like oatmeal try putting a scoop of peanut butter! So yummy.. I think something takes over babies around 3 months because they all forget what sleep is
Can I interrupt our reguarly scheduled sleepless show for a quick day care question?
If you have to send diaper, wipes, bibs, clothes, etc to daycare, how do you label it all?
I used to work at a preschool, most parents used a laundry pen to write their lo's name on their clothes. Sharpie on the other items. Granted that was 20 years ago so there might be a far more sophisticated way of doing it now.
@ninergal52 - I have Sharpies. Just need to find the laundry pen. pixie523 - I have a similar label maker. Not quite sure what role it has yet. I can see using a marker for the disposable stuff like a tub of wipes or bag of diapers. Not sure if the labels will work on baby bottles. I might resort to masking tape and a marker. Cheaper and low tech.
Oh, so I went to my fave cafe on the way to work. I was only planning on getting a latte. I ended up getting a mocha, chicken pot pie to have at lunch and a 7 layer bar.
Wtf. I need to stop this. I am bigger now than I was a month ago. Damn you snow! Stop making my clothes tight.
